I lived in New York for 5 years before returning to Evansville. As you can imagine, the Thai food there is excellent and is hard to compare to others. This restaurant reminds me very much of that Thai food up there! One of the staff members is even from Brooklyn! Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent interior designing. 10/10 would recommend!
A-Mazing. If you are new to Thai and need something a bit more "Americanized" or if you love all things Thai and love the knock-your-socks-off spice, Thai Papaya is for you! The wait staff was excellent, and the owner even came out to give us different tips in navigating the menu. After finding out what we liked, he even customized a dish for us! Get here now for some awesome service and Asian cuisine!
The owner is wonderful! The food is fantastic! The atmosphere is fun! And there's no other place like it in Evansville!we are very lucky to have this restaurant.
Went with my wife who is Thai and two other family friends from Thailand so we have first hand experience about Thai food. We had pad Thai, Yellow curry, papaya salad and rice and it was all fantastic. The owner came out to talk to us and even gave my daughter a special treat since she finished her food. The rest of the staff were friendly and happy to see us. Great experience all around.
If you have never tried Thai food, this is a great place to start. The waiter was very helpful when it came to appetizer and main course selections.
I've dined here many times. The food is always delicious and service is always wonderful. I love the curry wontons with cucumber sauce. My favorite dish is the phad kee mao. The pineapple fried rice is really good too. My boyfriend loves the green curry and sticky rice. He always orders it Thai hot. Thank you for making it a pleasant experience every time.
Some of the best food in Evansville! I usually get the Pad Thai, and they make it extra spicy for me.
We went for lunch. I'm not a big Thai food fan but I loved the chicken pad Thai lunch and the curry roll was delicious. Clean, friendly servers, great food.
My favorite restaurant! The food and service is exceptional. Owner is always kind and makes a point to say hi everytime we are there!
Delicious food! Great service!
The owner came to our table and personally welcomed us. He explained the Thai cuisine and their menu. He gave us personal recommendations based on our tastes. I will definitely be going back here soon. Yummy!
The spring rolls are awesome! Also, the staff are friewndly and the food is always vwey good!
We have always had an awesome experience eating here! The food is amazing and so is the service.
Very nice restaurant. Beautifully decorated, clean , and the service was excellent ! Waitress was very kind and helpful .She helped us navigate the menu and choose how hot (spicy) we wanted our food. They offer American hot and Thai hot all the way down to mild. This was welcomed because when I went to a different Thai restaurant I ordered medium spice and was on fire! The restaurant is fully handicapped accessible with handicap parking. I ordered the spicy fried rice with beef and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and they were not very busy.
Daughter, hubby, and I were in Evansville for a tennis tourny, and we came across this gem because we prefer vegetarian options.
The hostess/waitress was kind and welcoming. The fresh veggie rolls appetizer was my favorite, especially with the sauce. We also got the fried tofu with Cucumber sauce and veggie pad thai. As a 14 week pregnant woman, these dishes really hit the spot.
The best part about this restaurant is their menu. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friendly!
I was happy with my experience here. Kind and helpful staff, and the facility was clean. We had the Phad Gra Prow and Phad Prig King - both with beef and "hot" spice level. Decent spice, great flavor. Portion sizes were adequate for the price. For appetizers we tried the spring rolls and curry wontons, both served with a cucumber sauce (fantastic). I liked the wontons better, but both were good. Looking forward to other curry options next time!
Soo friendly. Great food. We had the veggie spring rolls. Really tasty. Crunchy. Wonderful dipping sauce. Sweet with peanuts and cucumber. It also came with a spicy sauce. Pineapple chicken fried rice was really good. Large portion and really nice flavor. Chicken with garlic was great. Tender thin chicken strips with lots of sauce. I subbed out the broccoli for extra zucchini. Really loved this dish. Comes with a side of rice. Will definitely be back.
Wait time was 20 minutes tops waiting for the entree. Appetizer was served separate from entree so you had time to enjoy your appetizer. Server was nice, and made sure our drinks didn't weren't empty, and cleared out finished dishes from the table. I ordered spring rolls for an appetizer and then ordered curry fried rice.
If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, you found it. We not only enjoy the food but the service is excellent. The restaurant is modern and clean. Every dish we've ordered is delicious and if they have the coconut milk ice cream it's a must try. My husband is from Bangkok and loves the food.
