The food is awesome and the owners and staff are amazing! I highly recommend this place. It’s a cozy place with a warm friendly ambiance.
I was in need of an early dinner and knew the bistro had been sold. I gave it a shot. I ordered the Cochinita Pibil. They were 2 tacos in a anchote sauce with pickled red onions. It was a large delicious meal. Spanish Rice and black bean accompanied the tacos. The ladies cooking and waiting were friendly and my meal came quickly.
I recommend and will explore Wild Rooster again.

This place is worth a visit. They serve big portions for reasonable rates. Constantly well organized and with great mood. Will visit here again.
We passed this restaurant as we walked around old Fair Oaks park. We are glad we decided to go in for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered chips and salsa which were both homemade and delicious. Our lunch was delicious as well. We would definitely go back. A small establishment that stands up to larger Mexican restaurants. This was far better!
LOVED our visit here. My husband and I have been trying to visit for awhile after Wild Rooster was part of the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge and we definitely should've came here sooner!They have a separate vegan menu and many things on the regular menu can be made vegan as well. Our vegan enchiladas and sopes were super delicious and we had amazing service. We highly recommend this restaurant and plan to visit often now :)
Wonderful vegan options in a simple charming cafe in Old Town Fair Oaks. They offer a daily special...today's was Wet Burrito Wednesday. I opted for the vegan version of this belly busting item and was delighted that it came with a sprinkling of vegan cheese and a drizzle of vegan cream. It was chock full of rice, beans, corn and zucchini. Service was fast and friendly and prices are good.
The staff is very friendly and their food is amazing! I had the wet burrito with shrimp and everything tasted very fresh. No grease at all. I didn’t feel “guilty” eating it haha. Plus, the burrito was so big that I have lunch squared away for tomorrow! 5 stars :)
I ordered delivery. I got the veggie mole enchiladas. The food was early and beautifully presented. It tasted pretty good too. The only thing was that the cotija cheese on top of the refried beans tasted awful, like it was really old. It was easy to pick off and didn't interfere with the rest of the otherwise delicious food but caused a 4 star review instead of a 5. That aside I would definitely order from here again.
this place is literally so scrumptious and the workers are so nice. I love it here, best hidden gem in all of fair oaks. Eat here support ur locals!!
