What a cool place, with great ice cream too. Came here once a while back but on this second visit it was cool to see some upgrades/refinements from my previous visit.
One of the big draws is the rolled ice cream which you can watch be made in front of you, the ice cream making process is super cool to watch and worth the price of admission. The ice cream itself is super creamy and thick and just so good. My dad enjoyed the 'normal' ice cream as well and the flavor options they have range from normal to explorative which I appreciate.
Fabulous !!!
Find your parking either before or right after the destination ( I parked by some public water works right after the light )
Clean place. Unlimited toppings. Amazing rolled ice cream with good quantity.
The high chairs are a bit uncomfortable.
Not sure if they've any kids friendly chair. I saw a family eat on their feet. Or maybe they wanted to social distance.
It takes sometime to put together the rolled ice cream, so if you're gonna come with a large party ( or if a large party beat you to it :P), be prepared to wait !
But I assure you, it's worth the WAIT !!
This place was great! It took a bit of ti. E to get our food, but that was because they were so busy. We got to watch them make our ice cream, whcih was fun. They also made someone else cotton candy in front of us--and it was massive. Will definitely be going back.
First off, the interior design is pretty great and modern. The ice cream flavors are all delicious and likeable. You get unlimited toppings for each ice cream you get. The milk tea/boba is also pretty great too! The teas are actually brewed and not instant. Alongside that, you can also choose the amount of sugar you would like. This is definitely one of the best ice cream places in the area, and trust me I've been to A LOT of them.
I first visited here with a friend on 8/19/19 and it was hard to locate the place. The parking isn't easy to find (had to park across the street) and it was blended in with other stores. But once you walk in, you immediately see two TV screens with the entire menu which are very easy to understand and well organized. There are so many things to appreciate such as varieties of toppings and the fact that they put effort into creating the ice cream rolls I ordered ("Matcha Appreciated" - that's the name) along with some matcha pocky sticks. I haven't tried their drinks yet but I will next time if I get a chance.
As shown in one of the pictures, the seating looks pretty simple, but in reality they're extremely clean. You can tell that the table tops are properly cleansed and I loved the high chairs. You also get some board games as a bonus which is a nice touch. Recommending this place if anyone around Fairfax is looking for hangout areas or just stopping by for dessert!
Random search while passing through old town fairfax for ice cream suggestions and we opted for Smash'd. What an awesome find! we shared a jade palace and it will be hard to try new flavors since we loved this so much
My first time rolled ice cream experience and it was excellent. They show all the flavors with the ingredients on the screen which makes it really easy for first-time goers :) I got the chocolate one they make with Rocher chocolate and Nutella, it was delicious.
Cheaper than I expected, I got the regular one and paid $6, definitely will go for a small one, regular was big. The place was spotless and has sitting areas.
Fun to watch how your ice cream is being made before your eyes!
Go and try it, you won't regret it!
It was a great atmosphere and the service was excellent at this ice cream place located in downtown Fairfax City. You can choose your ice cream and mixings or choose one of their many selections from the menu. Watch them make it and roll it into little ice cream rolls and then choose your toppings. Mmmmmmmm. We will definitely go back to try it for a second time.
