My first time there & not only was the food great but also the friendly owner & staff. We will be back.
So delicious and love the guys running the show! We've started making it a point to come thru town during their open hours! A must try!!
The absolute best bakery ever! I had the sausage and cheese kolache AND the cream cheese pastry and it was heavenly! My husband had the egginator and seriously went back for another! We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this little gem! You won't regret it, just get there early as they will close if they sell out!! Five+ stars!
I went to Golden Kolache for the first time this morning to get donuts for my team at work. The men and women who work here are so kind and really made my day. On top of that my coworkers said these were some of the best donuts they've every had! I would highly recommend this place and plan on coming back soon!
This place is absolute perfection. I've had almost everything on the menu and have yet to find one I didn't love!
Food-yummy! Service-even better! Definitely worth stopping by for either sweet or savory!
The staff is the nicest in town! Each Kolache is unique and so delicious. My 1-yr old LOVES the cheesy scramble. I'm a huge fan of the Egg-niter, and my husband likes the cheesy jalapeño sausage. Something for all breakfast lovers.
They have delicious food and friendly, personable staff!
Such a wonderful place. The baked goods are flavorful and homemade, and the service is friendly. I especially recommend the orange rolls and the Gouda kolaches.
Amazing!!! The food is so good!!! I work a few doors down and this is the morning shifts go to spot!!
After seeing them on Buzzfeed's too bakeries of every state, I knew I had to go! The spinach artichoke kolache was so delicious. And the sweetness of the staff made the whole experience great. 10/10 will go again.
First visit today and it won't be the last!! The entire family loves it and their was something for everyone. Highly recommend !
They only get better the longer they are open!!! The egganator is my favorite!
I went for the first time today. Got a cream cheese cherry pastry and a sausage & cheese kolache. AMAZING. Both were the best I have ever had. I will be back very soon to try everything else, it all looked so good. The service was super friendly too.
A once or twice a week mainstay for us. They have what your appetite wants. There's the sweet: cinnamon rolls(my 7yo's favorite)and fruit kolaches There's the savory: Eggniter(my wife's favorite), Gouda & jalapeño(my all time favorite) and bacon cheddar. The service is great. Their staff is even better. We've been following Paul & Ms Isabell for more than 5 years since they started in Johnson.

I stopped by on a weekday just looking for quick breakfast - it was hard to choose but got the classic - was delicious! Definitely want to come back and try all of the combinations!
This is one of our staples on the weekends. It's an amazing little bakery that's owned by some of the nicest guys you will ever meet! They are always smiling even when the lines out the door, it's easy to see they love what they do... Which makes the simple yet incredibly good Golden Kolache Bakery even better!
Everything is homemade... The bread is fresh, fluffy and is made with good quality ingredients. They don't take any shortcuts which is one of the reasons you have to get to the shop early- especially on game day. Or call in your order- they are usually sold out of everything by 10 on a Saturday.
The fillings are everything from traditional with sausage and cheese or if you want to try something new- go with the artichoke spinach which is delish!
By a land slide my heart and love goes to their sausage and gravy kolache. They are so good! My husband is hopeful they will bring back the corned beef and sauerkraut...yep he says it's amazing! However his second fav is the ham and cheese or bacon and cheese.
We love these guys and this business! The sweetest people in town... They even do their own sign waiving outside, that's right these wiser gentleman go out to the curb and hold signs to attract more business, how do you not love that?
I love this place! The kolaches are so fresh and delicious, and the staff is amazing. The other day I came in while it was raining and the owner walked me out to my car with an umbrella and waited while I strapped my daughter in. They are always so nice! You really can't order wrong, but I recommend the "eggniter."
Great place to buy kolaches. Don't be put off by the drive up. Just go in and buy something (or everything). The Ranchero is not for wimps.
Taste of Heaven. In Texas, kolache places are on every block, but here in NWA, we couldnt find a one. The donut shop lady looked at us like we were in the wrong country and wound up making us a pig in the blanket. Sooo not what we wanted! Then I found these guys and bam.. a flavor punch in my mouth that I havent felt in 3 years since leaving Houston. The owner is soooo friendly... Texas friendly! I highly recommend this place.
Sweet and Savory Pastries are AMAZING. I have tried Kolaches from several bakeries in a couple different states, and this is the best I've had so far! A couple weeks ago I came in on a Wednesday morning to pick up a bunch of pastries for a work event. They were so helpful and mentioned that if I called ahead next time, they'd have everything packaged and ready to go for me! Definitely going to do that. The sausage kolaches are delicious and I could eat a whole bunch of the pecan and strawberry pastries! They have a small (two table?) dining area and also serve coffee and milk, etc. and sell bread.
Amazing Kolaches. Just recently found out about this place and was able to make our second trip there today. Once again the kolaches were amazing!
Seriously one of the best bakeries in the Fayetteville area! Why hadn't I been there sooner?! Their BBQ bunster was delicious along with everything else we ordered! If you're in the area you have to go to the Golden Kolache! It won't disappoint!!
This place is absolutely amazing. It's in a quaint humble setting in a small town in NWA. The gentleman who runs the place is one of the friendliest people I've ever met and has always been very hospitable to his guests during every one of my many visits. This place isn't only about the environment though. The food is fantastic. After having had similar kolaches and pastries from traditionally Czech/European heritage towns in the US including West, TX I have to say these remain some of my favorites! I also would prefer these pastries to the locally famous Rick's Bakery (which I also love) any day. Prices are quite reasonable as well.
Kolache!. Amazing bread, amazing food. You have to try it. You really have to try it. Get the polish sausage kolache.
*Golden Kolache is moving to Wedington right by Green Submarine. They should be up and running by August 2015. If you haven't had the chance to try this bakery, you should give it a try.
They stuff their sweet bread rolls with basically everything they can get their hands on: ham&swiss, sausage&gravy, bacon&eggs, polish sausage, and something magical called "kick rancheros" which is a spicy mix of egg, cheese, potato, and greatness. They also serve amazing cinnamon rolls and fruit pastries.
Check it out!
Adorable bakery house, she is lovely, he is astute. Yummy kolache pastery puffs. Delish!
Finally!. I've been missing Kolaches since moving back to the 'ville after living in Austin, TX for two years. Everything here was delicious...we tried so many I cannot remember all the names, but the Smoked Gouda was definitely my favorite. It is a bit out of our way, but we will definitely be back soon!
Tried the smoked Gouda kola he and it was very good. Reasonable prices
Such nice people!. We ate here right before they closed (around 4pm). They still had a pretty good selection and everything we had was SO good. Especially the cheese filled bread I had. I don't remember the name of it. I got it after I asked the man behind the counter what was good. He was SO sweet and helpful. There isn't much room to sit but they do have tables. My book club has talked about how this would be a perfect homey place to meet but they close before dinner. You should stop by and try it, remember the earlier the better for the best selection!
Good news for Texans. If you are a Texan looking for something similar to a breakfast taco, try the King Ranchero. So good!
Very good food and excellent service. The place has a very homey feel. I will definitely be back.
GK brought samples by our office this morning- I ate the pecan pie roll. It was delish. Will be showing up for more goodies soon!!
Delicious. Variety of kolaches, even some without meat. Also have cinnamon rolls and muffins. I have had the ham and cheese kolache and the ranchero kolache. Both were excellent.
Delicious?? I don’t even know what a cheesy scrambler is, but it’s so tasty! The bread is somewhat sweet, but somehow it goes really well with the cheese and egg. The lemon kolache is also so tasty! Their pasty is perfect and the flavors go together so well
First time going and finally I must say it was soooo worth it, the bread was award winning fresh and the cream cheese lemon dessert was soooo delicious 🤤🤤🤤 great customer service, they were all so lovely, polite&very friendly... I can't wait to come back😁👍🏾
Is this a hidden gem, or what? I’m in awe with this place. Five stars are not enough to express my fascination. The first day I stopped by, they were kinda closed as they were all sold out ( even the shop was actually open according to the Google map.)Today I was there in morning. It’s a mid week workday, and I was there at 10ish. They still had something, but ran out of few popular items! So folks, be there as early as you can. And unfortunately they don’t deliver 🙄😓. We ate four items altogether, each of them were splendid. The best one was spicy cream cheese sausage kolache. This was the best. Next we ate the sausage jalapeño roll, a Eggniter, and at the end a pecan pie. All of them was excellent, made fresh and hot. The sweet pecan pie was too good, as the sweetness was perfect ( not overwhelmingly sweet). And yes, they are pretty pocket friendly too! So why to wait? I simply can’t wait to go back!
I never get the time to come over here for breakfast, but everytime I do, I LOVE it.
I love trying new flavors. Today I had the Mediterranean kolache with feta and asiago cheese, capers, olives, and artichoke hearts, and the jalapeno and cheese kolache.
Warning: The jalapeno and cheese kolache is spicier than the usual kolaches with the jalapenos inside the sausage at other places.
Not to worry if you prefer something more classic. There's egg and cheese, ham and cheese, egg cheese and bacon more like an 'open faced' kolache, I swear I saw one with gravy filling (w possible sausage?) and I think I saw one with an apple for something sweet.
Now I'm going off visual memory. I could be off on some of the descriptions. I could even see the dough rising for fresh new batches.
The best breakfast and nicest people work there. I highly recommend the Orange Twist and the Cheesy Bacon Scramble!
Oh Golden Kolache, what can I say?
You're the best way to start my day.
A delicious egg-niter and perhaps a fruit pie
Never fails to bring a smile to my eyes.
Your staff are sweet and your prices fair.
Your location's great, so easy to get there.
I'll miss you when we go back east.
Golden Kolache bakery, you simply can't be beat.
nondescript joint, while it doesn't do ready made orders, it does seem to hit what you'd want. their egg choices are like breakfast baos. the roll is sweet, the egg, cheese, meat mixture has almost a scottish oat texture, but everything together is surprisingly fun. The strawberry donut was dense and moist with a perfect amount of flavor. And to top it off..the people are very friendly and happy to talk through your options.
i dont give 5 stars often but in a sea of chains, you should absolutely give this place a try!
The food from here is delicious!! I love all the combos they have. Unfortunately when I got there they didn't have any more of the ones I wanted to try but what I got was fabulous! I will definitely be back here.
