Friendly service, nice, bright, cheery atmosphere (reminded me of a 5 Guys Burgers). Chicken was good, albeit the pieces didn't quite fit into any know category - my breast was kinda of a breastthighback. Both regular and spicy recipe were equally tasty. The sides - coleslaw was fine, nothing special or bad. Mashed potatoes were disappointing - not awful but just watery/runny. Overall good, I'll certainly go again, but it won't be my first choice when deciding what to have.
This review is based off of the awesome customer service my family received from Ezells’ due to a DD issue. After receiving our delivery we noticed that the order was wrong. Called the dude and he responded to call the restaurant because it was their fault. The receipt order has the name they are delivering to so right off I knew he messed up. So called the restaurant to let them know what happened. They had given two orders to the guy and he switched them up in a rush to deliver. Delauren(How I heard it pronounced through mask) apologized, explained what happened, and offered for us to come in and receive our order. I went in, met her, and was immediately taken care of and offered anything on the house like sides and dessert. I took the dessert, explained to her that DD has no quality control in delivery drivers, and went on my way. Family was satisfied as their food is comfort food and we are patrons of their establishment. This woman’s communication, empathy, and conflict resolution was what most restaurants fail to understand and utilize. I know this review may fall on deaf ears but when someone deserves recognition for something that people take for granted like customer service, I have to give them thanks. Thanks Delauren!
And for Delivery Drivers of any company, pay attention and communicate with both restaurant and customers. People are hungry and just want their food but will be reasonable if you are accommodating and respectful with issues like this.
I love eating fried chicken here, and I don’t even like fried chicken! The sides are incredible and their rolls are so good
The chicken tastes considerably better than the other fried chicken restaurants in Federal Way. It's much less greasy, and the mashed potatoes and beans have a lot more taste. Ezell's is a bit pricier, however. But I believe it's worth it.
Great customer service from manager. Chicken is very good quality and the breading is light & crispy. The corn is awesome and the Mac & cheese is super cheesy. We ordered some regular and some spicy chicken and the manager (pretty black woman with nose ring & mint green shirt) let us know it would be 20 minutes for the spicy chicken to be ready. We waited and she hooked us up with some extra chicken & sides! I’m glad we waited because the spicy chicken is my new fave. We just moved to the area and will keep coming back.
Used to hit both other ezell's skyway most often. But haven't been to it in over a year. Noticed that this one was open near the commons. Came to give it a shot. Was just as good as I remembered. Bonus points to real potato mash, and excellent service. Everything was fast, hot and yummy. One critique would be that they need to bribe before frying, but the skin was crispy and spicy. Got the half livers as well, delicious. Place is bright, fancy, and clean. Way to step it up Ezell's!!
If you haven't gone to this Ezell's I can not even describe what you are missing! Their food is amazing! Great, fast service too. You need to go yourself!

Excellent, juicy chicken with a crispy crackling crust. I reccomend their spicy blend over their original, as it's not particularly hot and pleasantly picante. Rolls are soft and delicate, and would be phenomenal with a whipped butter. Fries were a great surprise! They are much more flavorful and crispy than the cafeteria-crinkle-cut led me to expect. Extremely filling for a very affordable price. Very happy to have tried them out, will come again!
