My first visit, brought my family 👪 of six kids for breakfast. Was unsure what we'd experience but was definitely impressed! Curbside, 2-hr. parking. Rustic, cozy, small-town diner ambience. Friendly and fast service. The portions are ample, much larger than the photos on the menu indicates! This will not be our last time to visit!!
Probably one of the best traditional local owned cafés in our state. There are many options on the menu both breakfast and dinner and everything made from scratch home made. My bf favorite is the breakfast biscuits and gravy. I like their burgers. This time I got a bacon and cheese curd burger. It was big had to lean in to pick it all up for first bite. I also had some creamed soup. The staff fun to visit with and the place full of local charm. The hours are not what you may expect so make sure it's open when you want to go. This is more a morning and lunch place it's not a late night restaurant. The restaurant is downtown but it has plenty of close parking.
I stopped for breakfast on my way through town. Service was good and the food was excellent. My country fried steak was great. I'll be back to try some of the other items on the menu.
The food was excellent, crowded but there were a few tables and booths open. My mom had a tasty California Burger with yummy french fries and I had a wonderful Mushroom and Swiss Burger with extra onions.
Is it the best burger I've ever had. Nope... But it ranks right up there. If you're in town and want a delicious lunch, by all means please stop by and make your stomach happy.
Awesome place with classic cafe charm. The people were friendly and incredibly efficient, the food was really, really good! I had the eggs benedict and would highly recommend. Be sure to order a side of bacon, you will be glad you did.
Great food, great price, and great staff. I was in from out of town and recommended the Viking Cafe. I was not told of the amazing atmosphere. It is a wonderful time capsule. I was in a hurry and was able to get a seat, eat a delicious omelet with biscuits, and was treated my a friend by staff.
My family stopped here on our way back to Michigan from Montana. Best omelette we have ever had! Great small town atmosphere.
Amazing food, impeccable service! The bacon was, by far, the best bacon I've ever had! My husband said his breakfast was the best he's ever had as well, having ordered corned beef and hash, a pancake, and a side of extra bacon. Love the menu names, too, as well as the decor. I ate the Viking Cali Russian Burger (California with bacon), and it was in my top three fave burgers of all time. We will be returning EVERY time we come up to visit family! Highly recommend!
