Reviews The Comet Cafe

Can't believe it has taken me this long to review this little spot! I've never had a less than wonderful experience here. Coffee and espresso drinks are well executed, diverse and creative. The breakfast and lunch options are tastey and well prepared. Portions are spot on too :-) Service is always good, regardless of day of week, time of day, or how busy it is. Smiling friendly folks. My only complaint is it does feel a bit "institutional" and lacks soft surfaces so it's loud and full of echos once you get a few folks chatting. Would be cool to make the front area into a more casual space with couches and over stuffed chairs. I'd definitely spend more money there if that change was made :-) All in all...probably the best spot in town for consistency of both food and service. Keep up the great work!

Amazing little Cafe but they close really early. Their food menu isn't big but the taste is second to none. Have the Cafe miel - it'll change your life.

I wish I could rate food and service differently. The food is awesome! I love the options on the menu, the food is always fresh and they have great tea and coffee! The service is VERY hit or miss. Sometimes it’s good, other times it’s awful. On my trip recently, it took a while to get our menus as our server chatted with co-workers rather than greeting us. She lacked sense or urgency and she partically disappeared from the time she (finally) dropped off menus until we were ready to order food. I’ve had this experience a few times. I will say that the service is much better and more predictable when ordering drinks from the counter. Overall, the food is great. I love the local bread and coffee. The lemonade is killer too. I just wish the servers were more consistent, friendly and quick.

Very cozy and friendly place with a wide variety of very tasty sandwiches. Also looks to have breakfast. Chelsea was wonderful with our daughter. (She even named one of her dolls Chelsea when we got home.) And that Lavender Blueberry ice cream!! Stop in and say hi. You will have a very enjoyable experience.

This little place is so charming (with mismatched retro chairs and tables), reasonably priced (my amazing egg bake was $5) and the service is excellent. Our server took the kids from the table to show them the crayons and coloring books and was extremely patient while our six year old debated which jam she wanted. This place has great food and service, a fun atmosphere, and you can get in and out without paying an arm and a leg. Which is great because then you can go to the cute gift shop next door and spent what you saved!

Fun cafe in downtown Fergus Falls. Lively atmosphere! Had lunch with 14 ladies in the private room, worked out so well! I had the Thai chicken wrap and it was very tasty. Great sandwich menu, featured soup, coffee bar, and baked goods.

Great service and great food. We were traveling through and needed to get in and out and the food came out fast! It was exactly what we needed. Chelsea helped us with the menu and gave great suggestions. The coffee was out of this world! We travel through here often and can't wait to stop in when we drive through again!! Unique menu and wonderful atmosphere, thanks again Chelsea! Good luck with your two boys :)
