Cedar River is NOT for pretentious ass hats. If you are looking for a decent southern style seafood meal for a reasonable price you won't be disappointed.

Great Food - Great Value. This was our favorite restaurant last year while on vacation, and it was our first stop this year. The oysters were small, and we don't think it was as good as last year, but we still enjoyed our meals. We will return. I really enjoy the stewed tomatoes and okra.

Tried this place on a whim while on vacation. Food was good, service was great. My only complaint is they have a bit of a fly issue. Thankfully none landed on our plates but everything else was great. My kid loved the mac n cheese and hushpuppies, hubby liked his crab stuffed salmon and the crab legs I chose were very good. Tea was sweet too!!

It was good, don’t get me wrong - food was great and the atmosphere was very homey and familiar. However the grits in the shrimp and grits were a little underdone, not a deal breaker though. The shrimp more than made up for it, cooked perfectly and tasted great! Plus the loaded potato was perfectly cooked and they really make it loaded! And the sweet tea was southern sweet, which I loved!

We enjoyed our visit. There was a little confusion with the hostess as to where to sit us, but it was worked out quickly. We believe she was kind of new at this position. We had a great waiter. I wish I could remember his name. It was busy and loud in the restaurant so it made it a little hard to hear everything clearly. Portions...make sure you go when you are starving because they bring you enough for two people to eat! My husband and I couldn't finish our suppers due to the ginormous amount of food we were served! I got the fried shrimp and it was great! My husband got the broiled chicken. The garlic mashed potatoes were amazing and the cole slaw was good as well. We both ordered those. All of the wait staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and that made for a more pleasurable dining experience in top of the amazing food! Thanks for the fun and laughter! We will definitely come back!

It was my son's 28th birthday so we decided on lunch here because of their frog legs. It was a cold, windy day a lil after the 12:00 rush so they weren't very busy. We were seated and served our menus & drinks right away by a very nice hostess. Our waitress came with menus and taking our orders , answering any questions with a smile. I forget her name but you could tell she loved her job as well as people in general. The frog legs were a lil overcooked but not enough to complain about. I had a side salad with my shrimp & oyster lunch which was absolutely delicious. It was much bigger than I expected which I'm very grateful for since I felt like for the price of my meal I should have gotten more shrimp & oysters. Overall, I was very pleased with our meals , I'm not sure if $90.00 for 4 peoples lunch is the new norm or not but was a lil higher than I expected. It was my son's birthday so of course I was happy to pay with no complaints. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It has been here for years serving the community with smiles , making good memories.

On foot, we found this great restaurant—Cedar River. Fried foods are moot our choice, but we had options. My flounder was broiled and our chicken entree grilled. Lima beans like soup, cooked in a light ham broth with butter and pepper. Yum! Almost as good as the Italian flat green beans with bacon. But the ultimate flavor came from cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes. Luke, our server, was excellent. Attentive and polite. We would most certainly try this restaurant when on Amelia Island.

I give this place 5 stars because of their kindness. My husband and I ordered crab legs and we eat crab legs all the time.. these crab legs were just not great they seemed to be overdone. May have just been and off night not sure.. we kindly let them know and the shift leader really nice lady offered to remake them.. we agreed to try again. Same thing happened.. we showed them what was going on when we tried to crack them they were sticking to the crab leg they would not come out.. like I said may have just been an off day. Atmosphere was lovely and our server Luke was amazing.. along with the shift lead. Even though they didn't charge us for the meal we gave a tip to Luke. He didn't deserve not to be recognized for his kindness and patience ❤️❤️all in all great experience and great people 😊

Good lunch, good variety to choose from. Very reasonably priced for fresh seafood. Great location, if you’re visiting Amelia Island, this place is a short walk to the Beach.

Delicious! Our waistress was quick to seat us and take our order, our food was delicious and fresh, and it was very quiet. Hands down best gator tail I have had. Not too expensive! Definitely worth the price.

My husband and I decided to give Cedar River another try after not eating here for years. We were pleasantly surprised at how much it's changed. The place looks great. The food came out very fast and it was delicious! The service (Amber) was great also. We'll definitely be back.

This is my go to place. Anytime my family or friends come into town I take them here. The waitresses are amazing here and it always feels like home with the hospitality! The crab legs are great and can't complain at all. Love this place!

It’s a family eating place. This time I took 4 grandchildren (10-1) and 3 adults. Our server was Luke and he showed infinite patience with the confusion and excitement of kids and a restaurant. Luke suggested sweet chili shrimp and it was great. I’m getting that for my entree next time we go there. Our group had appetizers and various meals. Everyone was happy and had plenty. I’ve been visiting Amelia every year for a business trip since the adults in my group were the ages of the grandkids! Cedar River is a family owned business and is a good place for quick food and lots of choices

I remember eating at this establishment years ago so I decided to revist with my family. We ordered the gator bites, lobster bisque, fried shrimp 🍤 and fried clams. Everything was beyond delicious 😋. The gator bites are the best I've ever had. Fried to perfection. The sauce that comes with them has a wonderful spicy kick to it. The fried shrimp were a good size and tasty. My son said the clams were "ok". His main complaint was that they were fried hard and crunchy. The lobster 🦞 bisque remained me of something you'd get at a popular seafood chain. It didn't taste authentic and was kind of salty. Customer service was on point. We ordered to go, but was happy with the service provided. We will return.

Loved it. Food was amazing (I had the Aligator tail, and my wife had the Fish Tacos), and despite the busy foot traffic the staff handled the rush well and our food arrived warm and in a timely fashion. I can see why locals seem to love this place!
