We were in the area on our Anniversary trip. Momma G our future Step-Mom/Mom in Law told us she wanted to take us here as an anniversary gift. It was awesome! The chefs here are known for continual humor. The jokes and wise cracks are real!😂 Our server and chef were excellent. Chef got mad Habachi skills. Great place to eat. You get great food and humorous entertainment all at the same time.
Owners run a top notch eatery. They have been a pillar in the restaurant industry on the island for over 20 years. That says quite a bit about them and their product. Sushi is ALWAYS on point. Grill is always fun and entertaining...Highly recommended.
Always a fun time!!! Love the atmosphere!! They never disappoint! Food is amazing, cooks are great, and waitresses are on point!

Husband and I couldn’t decide what do do for dinner and after driving around, we stopped here. What a great meal! We loved the scallops! Had a great time.
We came from Delaware Water Gap Pa. To go to the Shrimp Fest...my son brought us here. NEVER been to a place that cooked rite in front of you. From the four adults, to the 3 young ones, we had a great time Pedro was our chef, he kept everyone involved, even joking and doing magic tricks. Exellent food...we look forward to stopping next time we get down there.I give it 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ ♡♡♡
Very kid friendly!!! The staff- from the hostess, waitresses, chefs, to the busser- were beyond nice and accommodating. The food was ahmazing and we plan to be loyal patrons!
One of my favorite restaurants on Amelia Island!! Great food & service!!

As I read some of the reviews, I was quite baffled. I have been there many many times and found the atmosphere, the waitresses and cooks to be awesome. Best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to.
We have been here and it's always wonderful. The service is great and the servers are very concerned about your stay. The food is very good. We will be back when we are able too
We love it! Went there last night for my daughters birthday! Wananobee is always awesome!
Good place for Habachi. Had a great and entertaining cook. Don't serve noodles, which I like. Steak was a bit overdone, but overall a very good and entertaining meal. A good value for the meal. I plan to go back.
Top notch sushi and hibachi, and a great team of people working there. Kabuki is great!

Food was really good and grandsons loved watching the cooks at the table.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Just one word- DELICIOUS!
GA Resident Loves Kabuki. I come from Georgia to visit Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse. It's the most authentic Japanese hibachi restaurant in the area. The chefs speak English and put on a great show. The food and atmosphere is spectacular.
One of the best restaurants on the island!. Far from being just a flash in a pan, the long-standing classic Kabuki has been dishing out amazing hibachi style food and sushi for many years. My husband and I spend a few weeks a year at our beach condo in Fernandina Beach and this restaurant is just a few miles away. Everything about Kabuki is absolutely great. There is always tons of parking out front. The atmosphere is tantalizing; the restaurant has great traditional Japanese accents and the most friendliest staff and chefs in town. My husband and I love Chef Steven and Kevin the best. The most amazing aspect of hibachi style restaurants like this is the ability to communicate with the chefs and watch as they make the food in front of you. We have been to many hibachi style restaurants around the east coast and this is by far our favorite. The ingredients are the best ever. Usually restaurants like this use dark meat chicken and lousy steak and seafood. The meats are so fresh; it seems like it comes straight from the market. White meat chicken and great rib eye or filet steaks. And did I mention the sushi? Absolutely the best sushi I have ever had in my life. Sometimes we sit at the sushi bar and that is all we will have. Every time my husband and I come we try something new on the sushi menu and it just makes us want to come back for more. If you want a great romantic dinner with amazing food and the friendliest staff, visit KABUKI!!!!
SUSHI!!!. Best sushi in Florida hands down!!
The food was fantastic u left full but not miserable I can't wait to go back the chefs were good but not the best good show and big flames I had the shrimp and chicken the ginger salad dressing could have been better
Used to be awesome, still is good, they have just slimmed down A LOT with the quantity of the food for the price, but definitely still good service and good atmosphere.
I have been eating at the restaurant for years and it only gets better! A previous comment suggests that the owner's son is "loud and obnoxious", but that is what we love about him. He is funny and has some of the best food I have ever tasted! We request him every time we eat there.
We had Kabuki for Valentine's day! It was wonderful! The food was amazing! I'm not one to generally enjoy Japanese but my boyfriend loves it! So we decided to try it! Our chef was funny! I can't say enough good things about the food! Best rice I've ever had, steak and chicken were cooked perfectly, waitress was always refilling our drinks, etc. We will definitely go back many times! Mushrooms were even delicious and I dislike them with a passion!

Kabuki needs to remodel and clean the place up!. We have been going to Kabuki since they opened their doors and have held many a private party in the back room, but the place is so dirty now... We went again last night as my sons( who are 15) love it but we all are scared to touch the floor, tables, etc. I carry an expensive handbag and I wish I had not taken it in the restaurant. The chef we had was very nice and they are running a great special for early birds during the week but they need to do serious renovations. I love the atmosphere the teppan grill offers but honestly Jade's. Hana, and Fancy Sushi are so much cleaner and more pleasant to dine in. I think they would do great if they went back to their old standards and closed for a major renovation, new everything on the interior.
Food favorites are the shrimp for me and steamed rice, my family loves the steak and shrimp and the sushi guy is great. Tell him what you want and he will make it happen.
Not bad. Good show. Lots of food and very tasty, too. Try specials. Service is friendly but not speedy during holiday week.
Best sushi on the island. Better than any place in Atlanta.
Scary on the outside, but good on the inside
Best Sushi on Amelia Island. The owner buys quality obviously. I love the sushi and the food is excellent. I recommend filet and shrimp on the grill and I personally like the sashimi chef's choice. The fatty tuna when they have it in is excellent and yellowtail is great. If it's crouded on the weekend I usually just go or sushi.
They also have premium selection of Japanese beer and saki.
Better sushi than habachi.... Better sushi than hibachi menu. 2with sushi and beer for < $50. Best to go during the week as service suffers on Fri/Sat nights due to crowds. Try the volcanoe roll!
Good food and good show. Try the sushi.
Best place for dine in. Excellent sea food options available for those who demand halal food. Just ask them to cook your sea food before the other meat, they do it for you.
Everything was great; food, service & show. My only complaint is that they charge you additionally for vegetables (typically a standard party of the meal/price). I’ve never been to another steakhouse where that was done. We enjoyed our meal.
This was the very first Japanese Steak House that I took my son. 12 years later it is still there in the very same place. I am positive that the cook was the very same guy. He was so funny and entertaining. Food was also very good and plentiful.
Delicious and entertaining teppanyaki experience. The sushi was delicious with generous portions of fish cut for each in the sashimi servings. Almost too large to eat as a single bite! Not that I'm complaining! A couple of minor misses that I usually experience at other Japanese restaurants was the pickled ginger slices to help cleanse the palate between sushi elements. As well as the usual ball of wasabi. Not sure why they weren't included on my plate this time but didn't detract from the experience. All I had to do was ask and got what I needed.
This place is definitely worth a go for your Japanese cravings! The teppanyaki steak, chicken, fish and scallops were also very generous portions including the rice and vegetables.
We have never had a bad experience here! Even when it's crowded, though we know how to be patient. The food is awesome and the service is great. We love to splurge and go here for holidays and birthdays.
We love this place, we've had the same chef every time we have gone there to eat and really enjoyed the food and the show
This is by far the best hibachi place I've been to. Their ingredients are always fresh from the ocean. The shrimp is huge and very tasty. We love to sit at the sushi bar they have a lot of different types of sushi that's not at other places. And if you don't see something you like the sushi chef will come up with something for you. My sister has a shellfish allergy and they were very accommodating with the sushi and habachi. I can't recommend this place Enough.
Fun spot for tableside cooking and sushi! Great service made our dinner very enjoyable. I loved the large hot sake and how attentive the chef and servers were. Food was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. We will be back! Enjoy!
We had an Awesome Birthday Dinner for my Daughter isabell at kabuki Japanese steak house this evening as ussual. The service was Excellent and the Atmosphere and Show were Tastefully and Masterfully done.Cooking our entire meal in front of us with class and showmanship.please don't miss an Amelia Island treat. We enjoyed the food and show!!😁👍🔥😁
Yummy food. Great service
I have eaten with all 3 chefs now and they are all awesome with different entertainment.
Got us in fairly quickly on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant seamed clean, even for a busy night. The food was good- just hope you like garlic. The chef covered everything in garlic powder. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t what we were used too.
My coworkers and I came here for an end of year celebration dinner on Saturday night. We had a great time. Our server was super attentive, and Pedro, the chef, was amazing, per usual. I haven’t had a disappointing experience here.
Overall great experience. I’ve been a few times now and it never lets us down.
It was my first time dining here. My girlfriend has talked about how GREAT this establishment is many times. Her and her friends used to come to dinner quite often. I finally tried it. It was amazing! On of the best, if not, the best Japanese steakhouse I have been to. Loved the atmosphere, the waiters, the cooks, and the owner. But especially, the shrimp sauce. Will have to visit again for sure!
