Long Island is not known for the greatest pizza until you have eaten at V.I.Pizza!! V.I.Pizza is delicious! Wherever you live, it is worth the drive. I drive from East Meadow, and I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. The Sicilian Pie is absolute perfection. The specialty slices amazing. Garlic knots are the real deal. The dough, never overworked. Rob, the owner is a true gentleman; his warm personality makes every customer feel like a friend.
Expect pretty good Pizza, garlic knots, chicken roll, etc. The quality isn't too consistent, but it's passable when you're looking for local pizza. The store itself is kept in excellent condition, tables are kept clean, the bathroom is fine. It gets a bit crowded in the afternoon when the nearby high school lets out, but don't let that get between you and your pizza.
Been going here since I was a kid and there is no better pizza place anywhere. The service is fantastic and food is always top notch. Far better than Village Pizzeria or Umberto's. Plus their delivery drivers are the best of any place I order from. The owner Rob is a true professional and shows alot of love for his craft.
Great pizza, great food! After ordering delivery a few times and being very impressed, I had to go in and get a slice for lunch today. I have to say, I was happy I did. But if you can't make it there, you can be confident that your delivery will be just as good as in store. They take extra care of your food when delivering. Seriously. They have "hero boxes". Boxes for your heroes! Most places will wrap your sandwich in foil. Maybe they'll put a piece of paper in between in a feeble attempt to avoid losing your cheese onto the foil. It doesn't work. Your cheese gets stuck to the foil and the bread gets steamed into mush. These guys put your hero into its own box. All the ingredients stay in tact and your bread maintains it's "crispy on the outside" texture that it's supposed to have. When a place cares that much about your food delivery, you just know they care even more about your food. Bravo, VIPizza! Keep doing what you do, and I'll keep ordering from you!
Great wings, fresh salads, great Sicilian pizza and really just a family friendly "joint". Super nice staff so even though the wait can be long for your delivery or pick-up order, its worth it. My family and I will continue to go back! Awesome job guys!
Great pizza great dinners and sides. The only thing I wish they'd change is the price of their garlic knots. 4-$2. That has the local high school kids walking into Floral Park for 12-$3 and there really good. VI your just down the block from a big high school and you make no attempt to draw the 1600 students in. When I went there the same pizzeria under a different owner had specials for students, specials for football & baseball wins. Team pictures hung on the walls and game changers had their pictures up for that week. The place was packed everyday. No business cares about the community and then they wonder why they struggle.
We ordered from here last week in my birthday for the first time and it was AMAZING! The pizza and ziti were both phenomenal. I'm super picky with baked ziti and marinara sauce but there's just perfect ratio of sauce, mozz cheee and (extra!!) Ricotta. It's such creamy goodness. And as for the pizza, just perfect as well. We all loved it. Ordered again tonight, Greek salad was perfect also! So glad I found this place. Definitely knocks the competition out the park!
Amazing pizzeria. I hear there original one is in queens. But I don’t think pizza can get better then this location. There Sicilian is the best I have had. Keep up the great work
For as long as I can remember, there has always been a pizzeria on Covert Avenue in the very same spot. Today it is called V.I.Pizza and owned by a charming young man. His pizza is delicious, and his display cases offered an array of Italian favorites like calzones, stuffed pizza, Sicilian slices and more. It is fun to return and sit looking out onto the avenue. Hard to believe I've enjoyed getting pizza here for 45 years!
Really cool neighborhood pizza place with quality pizza, ample seating, friendly staff, clean interior and nearby parking. Try the upside down Sicilian slice soooo yummy. Also note they take cards with no minimum.
Good pizza. Good heroes. Very friendly and accommodating.
They have a very busy delivery business, so they are doing it right.
The chicken parmagian heroes are very good.
The eggplant parmagian entree was exceptional.
I work for Somerset Gardens Senior Living in Plainview, NY - and I just have to write a review for how AMAZING V.I. Pizza is. They, along with Frontline Long Island, donated 80 of three of their pasta meals for all of the staff here. Each one of the meals were individually wrapped with a full salad, utensils, dressing, and Parmesan cheese. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this was one of the best 'thank you, we're thinking of you' we could have asked for! THANK YOU again to V.I. Pizza!! This will definitely not be the last from us at Somerset Gardens!!

Delicious food always. Clean, friendly and safe COVID food practices, Hopefully they can reopen soon, absolutely broken hearted over the fire that destroyed so many businesses on this block.
Personally, I love the upside down Sicilian and the garlic knots, but everything is great. The owner Rob is also really nice and friendly.

Couldn’t have asked for a better pizza eating experience. Absolutely outstanding service, and even better pizza. Not to mention the incredible family running it
Decent pizza in this part of town. I would recommend the tomato chicken slice. Quick service, all around a good spot.
This place is great. Food is top quality and the service is awesome. Best pizza and pasta around.
