We saw pictures of pizza on Google for the restaurant, but upon our arrival we found out they took it off the menu a few months ago. We ordered from the current menu just to try it out. Toasted Ravioli, Fries, Stuffed Meatballs, Caesar Side Salad, Buffalo Chicken Mac N' Cheese, and Blackened Chicken Pasta.
Good customer service!
Overall it was good. The only thing that still out as odd was that the cream/cheese sauce was the same for both pasta dishes.... Buffalo Chicken Sauce added to one and the Blackened Chicken Pasta had a sweet taste (like sweet balsamic glaze)...I have never had sweet blackened anything....so it was not what I expected.
I would go again with a group to share plates and have a drink if I was in the area (35 minute drive for me).
We LOVE Cuginos. Everything we've tried so far on several visits has been delicious. The place is casual and clean. Staff are friendly and efficiently attentive. Nice selection of foods without being overwhelming, and also has a kids menu. Affordable prices for a family dinner. A "Must Try" !
Omg … simply delicious!!! I had those meatballs… baby baby baby…. Fye!! I had a buffalo chicken salad. That boy was huge!! I would definitely come back here. My fruity drink in the bag was just right . No too much liquor in it. Very good!!
The service was awesome! Our main server (who was also the bartender) was super attentive and friendly! He went out of his way to do extra for us just because (getting hot sauce for my husband to try, making a sweet tea that wasn't on menu)and when my husband asked for another slice of bread for his sandwich (it only came with one and we didn't know) he was kind and got one for him. He did all this while also manning the bar! The other members of staff were also very attentive. At least three of them checked on us pretty consistently throughout the night which was great! I ordered the parm chicken and my husband wanted the French dip but they were all sold out (which must mean it's pretty good) so he ordered the honey hot chicken sandwich with fries for both and the toasted ravioli for appetizer. The main dishes did take a while to come out but it was fine, it gave my husband and i time to talk and enjoy the music. The ravioli was good. My sandwich was a little burnt on the crust so I didn't enjoy it as much but the sauce that came with it was good. I ate half the sandwich and the fries were pretty good. My husband's sandwich was okay.
My hubby also ordered a whiskey sour which was good. Overall the service was phenomenal and the food was so so however they have plenty on the menu so I definitely will be trying them again!
Great place! The Rum Runner I had was so good! We loved the meatball appetizer- yum! I had the Cod fish dinner- very good! My husband had the pizza and my son had the Blackened Chicken Pasta. Great service too!
Overall solid place. Last two times I've been I ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese. It was quite good but it didn't have enough cheese sauce. If it had more it would put it over the top. Everything else I've had was awesome.
Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have lived in St Louis for 20 years and never knew about this place. It does not look like much from the outside, but the place is awesome inside. The staff here is friendly and professional. The food here is awesome. Great menu to choose from. I am not a beer drinker, but friends said the beer selection is amazing.
What a gem! Amazing Italian food and outstanding beers. A must visit in STL!!!
Wanna know how good this place is??? Well it's good enough I'll drive 5.5 hours for the best meatballs in America and the best beer in St Louis!!! Oh and the staff? Don't come here if you want to be treated like a regular or family, because that's what you're going to get. 100000000% recommend if you only have one stop in St Louis, this should be it
Updated review Feb 2023: This is still an amazing place. The meatballs 😍 Make my heart sing. I tried a special chicken parm sandwich that had something like a vodka sauce on the side and it was heavenly. Please, please put it on regular rotation!
Prior review, May 2022:
Took a group of graduated seniors from our youth group here as a celebration and we tried all the apps - lots of delicious things! The Cubano sandwich and sweet potato fries I got was really good, and very filling. I still had half a sandwich I took home. The chicken bites with Korean or hot honey were both very good. I definitely want to go back, I saw several things that looked good and the service was really good. Our server was very friendly and helpful to our large group.
My wife and I went for lunch. My wife asked for the Stuffed Meatball appetizer with bread on the side so she could make a sandwich. The chef got a hoagie roll and made a sandwich with two meatballs and put a third meatball in a bowl. It was delicious, and there was no extra charge. I got the Blackened Chicken Sandwich with fries, so delicious. We were happy that they made the extra effort to give my wife the meatball sandwich she had a taste for.
It def is somewhere I will return to! It's self seating in which the servers come to you. The food was hot and fresh. We got the tropical margarita pouch which was potent and delicious 😋 I will def be back!
Staff was friendly. Place was very clean, including the bathrooms. My food came out fairly quick. The home cut fries were so good I didn't need and condiments. The French dip was fresh and hot. It came on a good Brioche bun instead of a hoagie, which was different, but good. It was server y with gravy instead of au jus. The gravy was barely warm and not that great, very very peppery that you really couldn't get a good judge of the flavor. The gravy I could have done without. I would come here again, but will try something different next time.
We have been going here for years and drive about 30 minutes to get there. We came for the beer and continue to go back for the food (…beer too). We love their Meatballs, Burgers, and Blackened Chicken Nachos…you cant go wrong! Now, bring back the pizza please.
Such a great local spot. The drinks were so good and they had plenty of options. The chicken sandwich was amazing and that was shocking since it’s a Italian spot. The pasta was very good as well
They deserve the high reviews they get. I went for the beer. Narrow gauge is one of my favorite breweries in STL. As the primary/only restaurant for narrow gauge, I feel like their food is quite a bit better than most other breweries' restaurant's food.
This last visit I got the pretzel sticks which come with movie cheese and cinnamon butter. Pretty good. And the Nashville chicken sandwich which was really good. But the last time I was there, I got the PB&JJ burg and really that was the best burg I've had here in STL.
Busy with large private party. No flights but do offer reasonably priced 7oz pours. Many hazy IPAs to choose from - great since this is my preference. Bar tender/server very attentive and knowledgeable. Enjoyed all that he recommended.
The food was so good. Their homemade nachos and chips were amazing. Everyone at our table was raving about their food! Tons of tvs to watch the game too!
