Simply Amazing! Went there on a Saturday night with a large group of friends and was pleasantly surprised how accomadating they were. We were first kindly greated at the door where we were told it would be about an hour wait. That's understandable since it was a Saturday night on beautiful lake lanier. Perfect time to gather with friends as we sipped some very delicious cocktails. When we sat we were next to a sand area with live music! We were in paradise. Then the food came! My oh my are the fish tacos to die for. The orange sauce on it made it pop with flavor! My husband had the aloha chicken and MmmMmm good! We will definitely be back!
Relaxing atmosphere! Great service!. Great place to go eat lunch on a weekday during your lunch break...gets you out of work mode and into relaxed, vacation-esque mode! They have some of the greatest serving staff I've ever seen...never met a nicer and more polite group of employees who really put the customer first!!
Lake Lanier's Paradise. This restaurant has incredible food and drinks! My husband and I always love to spend our date nights here ordering refreshing drinks from the bar, an appetizer of Fish Tales, fresh seafood for our main meal, and to die for key lime pie. We also love to bring friends and family here for the fun atmosphere of rockin' service and live music. On top of that, we love looking eating our meal right off the lake.
Great Ambiance!. I absolutely loved the atmosphere at Fish Tales! Being able to sit outside by the Lake and listen to live music was so relaxing! The sand area was a plus for the kids so the adults could chill! The Salmon was prepared perfectly and the mashed potatoes were wonderful! Overall great food and atmosphere!
LOVED IT!!. Such an awesome place to be, the atmosphere is so fun. My kids love the sand box and I love that it keeps me entertained and that it's keeping others kids entertained as well. We did have a small wait but the food and service made it well worth it! If you've never been I would defiently try it out!! It has become our new favorite summer restaurant!

Wow!. I was never really a seafood kinda girl but oh my! When I tried some of the food at FishTales boy was I amazed on what I've been missing all this time. Definitely will be back!!! Great atmosphere to be at and oh so colorful haha. :)
Just hear say, or its THAT great?. I overheard a conversation at the office concerning Fish Tales Lakeside Grille. My husband and I decided we would give it a shot. Immediately upoin arrival, my two kids were totally in. WHO would've thought a restaurant with a sandbox?! Our service was awesome, the staff are very knowledgable, the wait wasnt long at all, and the food was absolutely WORTH it. If you get a chance , you won't regret eating their grouper fish tacos and plantains! we will definitely be back!
THE HIDDEN TASTYNESS!!!. When i first heard about fishtales it was during a boat rental my family and I were taking from port royal. The rental attendant showed us where it was in a marina called hideaway bay. At first I was super skeptical about driving all the way back to this marina by boat but I figured what the hell I'll give it a try. It was well worth it. Service was spot on and food was no less. Very flavorfull and fresh fish much unlike any of the other restaurants on the lake. Completely satisfied.
Best place on the lake. This place certainly lives up to its name when it comes to quality and environment. I have been twice this month already- oops! Tried their fried cocktail crab claws with the “boom boom” sauce, I couldn’t stop eating! The food has great value and sure is delicious! Our server had a lot of knowledge on the restaurant and menu, and everybody is so nice and bubbly there. Wish there were more restaurants like FishTales in this town. Planning to make weekly visits when summer hits
Fishtales is such a fun family friendly place! With their entertaining love music, and sandbox for the kids to play in it's worth every penny! Not to mention their cuisine food and amazing service! I would recommend this place to everyone!
A deck with a lake view!. The perfect place for apps and a drink on a sunny afternoon. The food is okay and the service is top notch. Try the fried mac & cheese.
Awesome place, open in the off season for your fish fix. Holly was excellent in service. Try the fishtails with drawn butter.
So awesome! We loved everything about this place - the view, the setting, the staff! The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had, so good that we took doubles to go. Shrimp and grits and shrimp pasta were also really good and well-balanced and spiced. The view of the lake just adds an additional plus to the whole picture! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and quick! I would highly recommend and take the drive out!
Delicious and fun seafood with great atmosphere. Definitely start off with the Fish Tales (fried grouper) and drizzle some malt vinegar before dipping it in the dill sauce...so crispy and fresh! We got the oyster poboys, creole pasta, grilled grouper sandwich, and the shrimp and grits for our entree. They were all plentiful and delicious, and I loved my side of sweet potato fries that are dusted with cinnamon and sugar. We went on a Fri night for dinner and thankfully we got there at 5pm and had no problem getting seats but there was a large waiting area once we finished eating. The restaurant has a large welcoming sandbox for kids and a welcoming field for those who want to grab some food while in a helicopter.
Excellent food, awesome view and service was spot on. Our waitress Heather F. Was very conscientious of our special diet and made great choices to tell the chef on how to accommodate us. Will definitely go back!
We showed up at rush hour, and the wait time was said to be 2 hours. We were able to sit in the lower area next to the sandy Beach and ordered drinks and appetizers. While waiting and chilling, and starting some appetizers, we were called to be seated. The food was tasty, live music was soothing. This experience turned out to be better than we expected.
1st time here Victoria was our server she was awesome.
We got the calimari to start. My man got fried grouper and fries. I got the basket with 2 options and a side so i got blackened tilapia. Fish tails. And fried mac and cheese.
FYI the fried mac n cheese is like corn nuggets but mac n cheese..... when my plate came I was like where is my mac n cheese? Lol she was like it is there my face musta been like..... cause she was like would you like something else? I was like nah I'll give it a try.

Calimari was okay wouldnt get again.... the fish tails were good but i feel a lot of seafood places use bland breading vs seasoned so probably why I say was just okay I like my stuff seasoned but just my personal opinion.

The blackened tilapia was probably best thing I had out of it all. Perfectly cooked.

We recently invested in a slip at Hideaway Bay Marina. And we are so lucky to have a great restaurant located on the property! Fish Tales has amazing drinks and wonderful food items. We love it. And excellent service! SARAH, our server was bubbly, friendly, personable,and attentive. She was training someone new. Her trainee is in the best hands. I waited tables many moons ago and recognize good service. Especially in our times of mediocre service becoming the norm! So nice to find good service, relaxing atmosphere, and yummy food! Thank you Sarah!
