Blown away with the taste and quality of the food. It was comfort food with great flavor and a pleasant surprise. Friendly people and a different twist on meatloaf with the chipotle sauce. I will definitely go back.

We are regular at Grant's during lunch. Grant has spoken to us on several occasions. You can tell that he cares about making sure each and every customers leaves happy. If you're not, he wants to know about it, so much so that he has displayed his name and cell number on the door. My favorites are the rotisserie chicken and the chicken tenders! There have been several occasions I have made a trip through the drive thru just for the tenders alone! Oh! And I have tried several of his desserts and they are all fabulous!

Awesome When I first walked in I was greeted by Grant, the owner. He was very helpful in telling me how everything works. He even made very helpful suggestions. The workers were very nice and did not just treat me like another customer, but an actual person. I decided to go with the baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and cabbage with the mexican cornbread. My meal was about 10 bucks with a drink, but it was worth. I was told that everything there was fresh. None of the vegetables were canned unlike many of the soulfood restaurants I've been to. It was even healthier than most. The veggies are cooked with chicken stock rather than fatty meats and lard. The baked chicken was delicious. It was white meat and dark meat, but the white meat was not dry at all. The potatoes were very good as well. They were not powdered, but real potatoes. The cornbread was good and still very fresh. Although it is a bit more than other cafeteria style restaurants, I could tell I was paying for quality. I will definitely be going back.
Great food. The meatloaf is wonderful. And the veggie plates are super. Fresh food in veggie stocks. Grant does a great job giving you healthy options. I like that I can choose from so many fresh veggies. You don't see that too often in Jackson. Also like that Grant is willing to share his personal cell if you have a problem. You definitely don't see that too often.
Food was great. Roasted chicken, sweet potatoes and pecan pie were delicious. I hope it stays this good.
Not to be missed. Just made our 2nd visit. We wanted to branch out but the chipolte meatloaf was so good we got it again. Drive thru meatloaf with corn souffle, fresh broccoli salad, mexican cornbread and extra chipolte bbq. YUM! We asked for salad in a separate box and ended up not getting the slice of pie we ordered - I called, got Grant himself, and he apologized profusely and insisted on delivering the slice to us (I had to talk him out of this - as we will be back soon and get it then!). Great food, great service - you need to try this place - the sides/salads alone are worth the drive!!

Chicken and Dumplings in a drive-thru. That is worth going just for that! I picked up lunch on Saturday and brought it home. The food was good, not amazing, but it also wasn't overly fattening (read:cooked with bacon grease) as most soul food/southern places can be. We really enjoyed it and matter of fact, my husband is picking it up this Saturday for lunch! Try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Oh Yeah!. Grant's Kitchen is exactly what Lakeland has been missing. A top of the line meat and 3 place, everything we've had there so far has been excellent. And the owner is extremely friendly and fully hands on.
Love Grant's Ktichen. Only opened a short time but we have eaten there three times. Wow! the food is like I grew up on and delicious. Portions are perfect and the choices are too many. Grant, thanks for coming to Flowood.
Thank you Grant's Kitchen for your great service and food!!!! This was my first time eating here and so was it for my friends. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style without extra long serving line. The servers received us well, gave us options of what to try and what a made a plate as well what would be extra. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was pleasant and home feeling! All condiments were self serve but our food server directed us to them in advance. Grant's Kitchen is a must vist and highly recommend 👌🏾!!!!!!!!!
Fast service, tasty food at a reasonable price. There were few in the dining area and the place was clean and comfortable. I recommend this restaurant
My husband just drove through and ordered two plates for our lunch and the food was AWESOME!!! He had roast beef and veggies and I had country fried steak and veggies! It was delicious !! We eat here often and have taken family there to enjoy their food ! Service is great and the manager really cares about the food and service!! This was my birthday lunch and I LOVED it!!
I came here for lunch. I ordered hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy on both and macaroni and cheese with a roll. The food was good. The roll was kind of hard but it was still good. The sweet I ordered had the right amount of sugar.
Delicious "home cooked meal" when you don't have the time to cook. Food has been consistent in flavor the past several times we have visited, and not greasy like many restaurants that serve this type of food.
