Book Chang Dong is a classic Korean tofu soup restaurant. Their menu is reminiscent of Natural Tofu on Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside. I went here for a family party and they put us in the back room. There was karaoke available and even though we were in the back the waiters did not forget about us. Food is solid here and portions are huge.

24/7 Korean food? Definitely a good thing. I've been here a bunch of times, mainly at night. I really like interior design. It is decently lit and not bright, but just right. The white walls and wooden panels really give it a nice homey feel. Service is quick, the waitress isn't pushy and was very responsive to dishes and drink refills. If you come, be sure the try to bugolgi and soon dubu. The food isn't pricey but it isn't cheap, korean food is never cheap, so the price is actually quite standard. The place is open 24/7, so if you want so korean food at the middle of the night, it's a nice place to grab a few dishes to go. The only downside to coming here is parking. It's not easy to find parking in this area.

The egg goes in the soup! The egg goes in the soup! Whatever you do, don’t crack the egg into your rice. That gesture is bound to give the waitress a heart attack. I find it funny because there is a raw egg in bibimbap but I guess because that is in a hot stone bowl, enough to cook it well? Dinner at Book Chang Dong is nothing short of Korean drama and comedy. I loved it. The food was delicious and it was a great place to host a party. There are private rooms in the back for large parties complete with karaoke. Food is affordable. They have all your staples from pa jun and jap chae to spicy squid and galbi. True joy lies in the kimchi jjigae stews and soondubu but the appetizers and entrees will warm your belly first.

My wife's favorite kim chi tofu stew place! All stews are $10 & $8 during lunch. There's another location in manhattan but this one is better and cheaper. Great seafood pancake too!

Overall good food at a very affordable price. If you eat there, dine in. For take out you don't get the same effect. I think it has to do with the stone bowls that they serve the food in.

This was my absolute favorite korean spot.they had the best food and at reasonable prices. I can't believe it says they are permanently closed! What gives? I'm so sad right now.
