The staff was very friendly. Erik’s omelette was fluffy and light, and the house ranch potatoes were seasoned nicely. My Dungeness crab Benedict was the best Ive ever had. You could taste a little bit of lemon in the sauce and the crab serving was heavy handed. I highly recommend this place for brunch 😋 (my only complaint was the $3.25 charge for a side of sour cream for the potatoes; I can buy a whole tub of sour cream for that price. Sour cream is a condiment 🙄)
The food was simply amazing and lots of it. I can not say enough about the staff. They went beyond friendly and we never lacked for a thing. If there is one place I would not hesitate to recommend....this is it!

Staff, environment, my company, it was fabulous!
Lots of choices! Had to actually reads the menu.
Small, a bit of a wait but worth it!
The bath room is a must see! Especially for kids and wizard of oz enthusiast!
My favorite breakfast stop when visiting Fort Bragg...I was here yesterday and had the Spanish Omelette...waiting in line this morning too before drive home to the Bay Area. ! I'm ordering an eggs Benedict dish...and the biscuits and gravy side! A must have when in town!
Fantastic place to eat!! I got the crab omelette, it was packed full of delicious crab, avocado and cheddar cheese! Best damn breakfast I have ever had. Highly recommend:) love the wizard of oz theme!
we absolutely love this restaurant. Eggheads is a must visit place when we come to town. pumpkin waffles are amazing. no matter what you order, you will never be disappointed. the staff is always friendly and fantastic. you really feel welcome. the wizard of oz them is cute.
Great place to start your day at. Cosy place with fantastic wait staff and food!
I ordered The "Wicked" Benedict and it was full of delicious flavor. My only wish is that I had a little bit more biscuit, but it was great. The biodegradable plates were awesome also. We also ordered the Cinnamon Raisin Toast which was huge and so so good. The theme was cute, I think they should put jn a real yellow brick road through the restaurant, that would be cool. But overall will definitely have to go back again. So tasty. Oh, and my coffee was always full!
Food and service was great, very quaint a bit of a wait for a table but well organized, a little pricey but lots of food, $3:00 extra for fresh salsa. You have your choice of eggs omelette or crepes and a variety of lunch choices, would eat there again
We thoroughly enjoyed the Egghead! Food was heavenly, service was good and the owner came around and chatted with everyone. Great place and highly recommended!
Hadn’t been to Ft Bragg in awhile but I told her Egghead was a must. Food was excellent as I remembered it and service was 5 star as well. Fortunately we were there on a week day and had no wait to get seated. Have eaten there on a weekend and the line was down the street. Will always go back any time we’re in town.
Great local, unique breakfast spot. Wizard of Oz theme kept us busy looking around at the decor, fast friendly service had us feeling wanted and the delicious food filled us up. We will most definitely be back next time in Ft. BRAGG. Also bought 2 T-shirts, that's how much we loved it!
Service was top notch, clam chowder was amazing with just the right amount of jalapeno, burgers were some of the best we have ever had.
Well worth waiting for! The food was terrific, the ambiance wonderful, and the service was great.
Cute little local place - Dorothy’s revenge was an eggs Benedict with crab meat and champagne hollandaise- yummy!!
The food was great. The staff was awesome. My wife was like a little girl in there with the Wizard of Oz theme. She is a big fan of the Wizard of Oz. This was a great way of ending our stay in Fort Bragg.
The service was excellent, and the food was really good! I had never tried eggs benedict before, but when the menu says that it is the "wizards famous," I had to try it. I am so thankful that I did. It had such good flavors that all worked well together. We also tried the cowardly lion, and it was super good as well. We were at the restaurant right at 7AM, so we were the first ones there. We were able to sit at the front table near the window. It had a great view of the main street, so that made the experience even more enjoyable.
Nothing beats a tiny themed breakfast joint! Super tiny place, so be prepared to wait for a table, but fun shops to visit nearby.
The service was amazing, the server was so sweet to everyone and found things to talk about with each person.
The food was so good! We had a special Benedict with dungeness crab and a wizards garlic lovers crepe. The food was shockingly incredible. The potatoes were truly addicting and we loved every bite Truly a gem in Fort Bragg!
Egghead's has been open for 46 years and it's no wonder why. The restaurant is themed on The Wizard of Oz. The food is absolutely delicious every single time. The waffles are amazing!
This place is so cute! We sat right up front next to the window and probably had the best seat in the house. Our server was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious and a great start to the morning.
Loved this place! It was our anniversary morning, and they surprised us with cinnamon toast with a candle. 🥰 Our server, Cristen, was wonderful and so good at her job. She had great energy and made the whole morning better for us. And, yes, the food was delicious. Hard to go wrong with what you order. We'll be back for sure!

I am kind of amazed it’s been this long since I’ve been to Fort Bragg, California most famous breakfast spot. I got to share a meal with two of my favorite people here and it was a welcome choice. I say famous because I'm in hospitality and this is the one local spot every visitor knows besides Glass Beach. Egghead’s has been the same for as long as I can remember and the quality of the food and service remain high. Their Hollandaise is fabulous but today my guests were on a cream gravy kick. I think it rivals their Benedict topping in quality, you cannot go wrong with either. I tried the Wicked Witch, a turkey burger that truly hit the spot. I chose the double which was too big to pick up and fit in my 👄, but tasty nonetheless. Breakfast is king in Fort Bragg and you cannot go wrong at Eggheads.

Clean, friendly attentive staff, and the food was amazing! My boyfriend got (what I believe was called) the Wicked Witch Benedict - the hollandaise sauce had tequila, cilantro and lime and I got an omelette. My omlette was good but my boyfriend’s benedict (which he so graciously let me have a bite of) was better. Their house made biscuits are the best biscuits I’ve ever tasted in my life, and their red potatoes were perfectly seasoned and pan fried. The decor is super cute here too we loved the Wizard of Oz theme. Definitely top 3 breakfast spots in our books 😊
This restaurant is so cute! It’s nestled right on Main Street in Fort Bragg, and easy access from our hotel.
When you walk in you immediately notice the expansive collection of Wizard Of Oz memorabilia, and a single row of original faded yellow tile tile. If you want to know the whole story about the restaurant you’ll have to visit this quaint place for one of their delicious menu items and ask one of their friendly servers.
The food was served in a very timely manner, and their portions are very generous. There’s lots of items to choose from. I’m looking forward to going back next time I’m in California and trying something else on the menu.
We were visiting Fort Bragg for my birthday and a break from bay area living and Egghead's alone was worth the drive. The menu was fun and creative and the food was delicious 🤤 no reservations so get there early and be prepared to wait... Just take a cute walk up and down this sweet Main Street and before you know it smiling faces will be welcoming you in for a yummy meal ☺️
We went twice in one weekend and had two different Benedict's, the crab sandwich and the French toast. They have multiple Benedict's so ask them to take the hollandaise or get it with the country gravy.
Hope this helped - Enjoy!
Great place for breakfast or brunch, great portions sizes. Crab omelet and eggs Benedict tasted great. Nice service and cozy place. Orange juice and coffee were very good. They use local ingredients where possible, read: local cheese, eggs and diary.
Cons: the plates are disposable, following a sustainability initiative, but it makes the meal experience feel a bit like take out.
At first I was a little salty we had to wait 30 minutes. Then I tasted the food and was AMAZED!!!!! fresh everything. It was a small place but I appreciated it after eating there. Friendly staff great vibes with the theme being Wizard Of Oz. Wife daughter and I all loved our food. I got the cowardly lion Benedict and WOW!!! Those biscuits were the best I ever had.
Very popular spot. Only 10 tables so be prepared to wait. But it was worth the wait.
Restroom 🚻 has much to be desired. But the food will make you forget the inconvenience.
Food is served on cornstarch plates, eco friendly and biodegradable. Don't expect china. We had no problem with that as they have it in writing for all to see.
If you wanna complain then just go down the road to Denny's and have some slop.
It’s a small place so probably you will wait until get to sit, but it’s totally worth it. It’s DELICIOUS!
Go for the pumpkin pancakes.
Friendly service. Great tasty egg breakfast. Clam chowder tasted really good with hint of spices. Would come back to order a full bowl next time.
Updated - came back second time two months later - excellent special Dorothy’s Revenge (local Dungeness Crab egg Benedict). Pumpkin Cream Waffle was fantastic with Almond cream (much better than regular whip cream). It’s so tasty- chef kiss !
The Atmosphere is absolutely the best way to start your day! The service is TOP NOTCH! The food is AMAZING, we could not decide so we ordered two breakfasts each! The raisin cinnamon French Toast is a Must! As well as the Pumpkin Cream Waffle. The server even went an above and beyond and made me a vanilla cappuccino, which is not on their menu. If you are in town this is a MUST for breakfast!
Best breakfast in town! Rustic, parking on the main street, inside is small and of course lots of people. Little Wizard of Oz place. If you are waiting for your turn to be seated. You could visit the shop next door. It's like a little museum with lots of cool stuff to bring home. I brought home an 👽. We ❤️ Fort Bragg!
Oh my goodness! The fried raisin bread was amazing!!! Big thick hunk of bread with a light drizzle of syrup and butter. Heavenly!
Had breakfast with my girlfriend. The food was excellent along with the customer service. We had to wait about 40 mins. But we just walked around downtown and enjoyed the scenery.
