First time dining at Pirate Republic and definitely will return next year. The freshness of seafood served at this establishment is definitely rewarding for the moderate prices, the portions are large and the view is breathtaking. ALISON our server was the best by far server we had in all of Fort Lauderdale, she was kind, accommodating, professional and extremely knowledgeable of all the wonderful array of Brazilian spices, we decided to let Alison make the decisions when picking an appetizer and two entree’s and we were not disappointed. One recommendation I can make for the owners is to stay more true and consistent with hours of operation, guests travel far and wide to come to Pirates and leaving the kitchen open a bit longer during the week would be a good idea, Atleast during high seasons. All in all I recommend anyone wanting the freshest of seafood and great service in Fort Lauderdale, Pirate Republica is the place to visit.

We stumbled on this place after taking a tour, it’s a nice location with a great view of the New River and does have a river boat taxi stop. The food here was wonderful. I’m celiac so it can be tough to eat some places but they have pleanty of options. We had giant pink shrimp and a huge bowl of seafood that was so good we will be sure to go back. Don’t miss this hidden gem.

I brought my graduation party is 17 people for dinner. Appetizers, drinks, and meals were great! The staff was gracious and accommodating. The seafood was fresh I had the most tender octopus I’ve ever had! This is a must stop hidden treasure. Nestled in the city, there was free parking, on the water and near the trains! We had a party!!!

Hidden little gem! The view and the food made this one of the top highlights of our trip. We arrived at 8:50 and the kitchen closes at 9, just a warning. Their website does not state that anywhere! However, their staff was SO accommodating and did not make us feel rushed. Our server was excellent! She recommended all our dinner choices and they did not disappoint! I will definitely be back next time in Ft. Lauderdale.

First time there on a local recommendation and it was worth it! Laid back, casual and great to watch the boats going by on the canal. The margaritas are freshly made (no mix) and the food was phenomenal! Friendly wait staff. A little pricey for a late lunch but will definitely be back!

The margaritas are top notch. The ambiance is extremely nice. Delicious bites, fried snapper is a must have. One of the only restaurants where the owner greets you and converse with each table.

This restaurant was EVERYTHING!! The food was delicious! I ate a lil of everything with my friend we sampled each others plates The red snapper was great just need a lil more season salt. Crab meat pasta was scrumptious with extra butter & the spicy scrimp appetizer was big & scrumptious. Also had the mojitos & daiquiri was tasty. The prices were a lil costly but it was worthy. Atmosphere on the water was so relaxing. I would truly recommend & I will return. My Bday Sept 8th

We had a great time. We enjoyed the food, the scenery and the atmosphere. Service was awesome too. Their menu prices are very reasonable considering it’s location. Overall, a great experience.

Started our evening with ANNA as our server, Awesome job. Had a couple of Stiff tasty Caipirihnas to start, as we enjoyed the sun setting and boats cruising on the river. Beautiful, (thats what my wife said 😁). We ordered the Snapper for two with Blue Shrimp with a lovely garlic sauce made just for them. The snapper was crispy outside with a light lemon flavor throughout. It was very well done and the shrimps were grilled perfect and huge. (The picture is not filtered. Those are shrimp 😲). We paired them with the buttery mashed potatoes and grilled veggies that were just right. A nice meal at sunset by the river at Pirate Republic. We had a great time.

I had a great time... The Pirate Mousse, the Ubatuba Shrimp, the Caribbean Caprese, the Raw Oysters, and the Pirates Treasure- all of it was amazing... The service was excellent...the atmosphere relaxed- all with a Caribbean/ Pirate vibe- along the Intracoastal... You should stop by if you're in Ft. Lauderdale...

A niche and very pirate themed restaurant at the end of what looks like an abandoned street, the Pirate Republic is an excellent find for good seafood with a Brazilian flair. It's not cheap but it does deliver way more than what you would expect for a restaurant with multiple pirate statues. It's definitely worth trying.

Very nice restaurant on the New River. Great views, many boats of varying size on the river. Food was way above average for specialty seafood, this was Brazilian style for the most part. The only downside for us, as well as holding back a star on atmosphere rating, was our table was great when we got there but they let a HUGE 42 Ft boat park at the dock next to our table and all others on the water completely blocking the view. Not Good! Common man!

Celebrating a birthday, we enjoyed all our orders. Food well seasoned and even better the next day. Young Adults enjoyed Coconut Shrimp, the most. Unfortunately it was pouring, so we couldn't enjoy the view of the Bay. We give it a 41/2 star. Couldn't get the star to half. We all agreed that Florida Lobster was not tasty. Over cooked and weird salt taste. We prefer Main Lobster. Our server Renee, not sure if spelling name correctly, was attentive and friendly. He didn't miss a beat. Thank you.

We had a girls night, the location is great right on the water you can drive your boat right up if you’d like. We ordered the pirate republic mojito, pirates treasure, calypso passion, and no guts no glory margarita all were very good! We also orders the garlic spice shrimp for appetizers, and the curry shrimp and anegada lobster trio.

I had dinner at this restaurant with my family and was very happy with the level of service /professionalism by the staff. Victor greeted us at the entrance and took us to our table by the dock. We were greeted by our server(Camarino) who was equally courteous and professional. The food was tasty and the care we were provided with made us feel special. We had the calamari, snapper, linguine, stroganoff, and coconut shrimp along with some very delicious beverages. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

First time there. Had a 9:45pm reservation on a Saturday. Huge waiting section with over 15 people waiting for tables. So I thought it must be good. Lots of life sized pirate statues and decor which was super cool to see. They have a real macaw parrot that hangs out above the host stand which is awesome to see. They are on the water and boats can dock to enter the restaurant. The service was slow but the food was great. I really enjoyed the ambiance and art. No complaints about the food. Drinks were okay I wouldn’t say great. The restaurant didn’t have a bar to sit at and wait. Maybe because it was late but not sure.
