Hidden Gem for Chinese Cuisine - Christina Wan Restaurant Review
I stumbled upon Christina Wan restaurant after work, and it turned out to be right across from my current residence! Although I had to wait for around 5 minutes before anyone noticed me, the friendly Asian lady at the bar took my order promptly. I opted for their house rice, mandarin beef, honey garlic chicken, and some egg rolls. The food was quickly delivered, and the packaging was excellent.
The egg roll was decent, but the real star was their house rice - absolutely delightful! The mandarin beef was good but lacked a bit of salt and had too many onions. As for the honey garlic chicken, it was okay, but I'd explore other menu items next time.
I found the ambiance cozy and inviting, typical of Asian restaurants, with a classic yet elegant decor. I plan to dine in next time to experience the full atmosphere.
Overall, I rate Christina Wan 4 stars with the potential to reach 5 on my next visit if the seasoning improves. I'm definitely returning to savor more dishes.
The lady walking around filling waters was very attentive to the refills. The meals were delicious and I really liked black pepper beef which was a fan favorite suggested by the waitress. The General Tso chicken and House rice was really good along with the crab ragoon.
Christina Wan's is one of the good Chinese restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. The food and service are always consistently great.
Tonight we had the desire for Peking Duck and we were not let down. The taste was enjoyable with crispy skin. We added an eggplant vegetable. We started with an order of egg rolls and chicken soong.
All was great and certainly too much to finish so take home we did for another night of enjoyment.
Absolutely, positively, the best Chinese food in Florida!!! Possibly the best in the entire United States!!! I live 100 miles away one way and every chance I get I make the drive!! The entire staff are amazing and treat you like family!! The mandarin beef is amazing!! The lo mein is made with homemade noodles and is so delicious!! The Mai tai is my go to drink. This is the greatest Chinese Restaurant in all of South Florida. The food is the best I have ever had. The service is so good. You will love this place! Try them once and you will be hooked.
was in dire need of food after an exhausting but exhilarating 2 hour workout. Christina Wan's was just around the corner, and a welcome sight for sore eyes and hungry bellies.
The place wasn't overly crowded, but there were people watching the game at the bar and a couple of booths and tables occupied with groups. The layout lends to a much more open feel. I loved the decor, complete with wall art. It looked like there may have been close to closing, but the staff was still very welcoming and accommodating.
We ordered the pan fried vegetable dumplings (I'm trying to be healthy, not insane ) to start. And for entrees, Veggie Singapore Noodles, rice vermicelli noodles with, beansprouts, onions, and peppers in a spicy yellow curry, & Ja Cheung Mein, a bed of egg noodles topped with minced pork in a hot, spicy oyster sauce.
The food came out quickly and was hot, fresh, and smelled amazing. My dish looked a little like spaghetti and meatballs, but when I dug in, all of the yummy Asian flavors sprung to life. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The food was delicious and it was actually spicy. I never expect when the menu says spicy that it will be, but this dish actually had a good kick.
The portions were also huge. I couldn't finish my meal and had to take some of it home for the next day. I actually meet the owner when we were leaving and had a very nice conversation. She's very amiable and makes you feel at home. I noticed her checking on the other guests while we were eating.
I'm learning about more spots in the area and this one I'll definitely be revisiting. There are many items on the menu that I've already targeted, so I plan to be back
Owner was amazingly pleasant. Great atmosphere. Everything is homemade from all the sauces to the dough for dumplings. 10/10 am coming back.
Absolutely loved the food, service and experience of this place! What a charm to find vegetarian Chinese dishes made to perfection. If we are visiting Fll next, Christine’s place is it.
The food was excellent and had great appeal and taste. we ordered a variety of items from the menu and everyone enjoyed the food. If your in the area I would recommend checking them out.
This is a great restaurant! The food is always fantastic. The service is on point! Always a wonderful experience!
Great dine in when reopening allowed! Super clean. All staff wore masks and gloves.
The dish shown is colossal ginger/scallion shrimp. The shrimp were definitely colossal!
Everything was delicious, tho I only thought of the pics when almost done. Great portions. Outstanding spot!
Excellent chinese food. Traditional favorites like Singapore noodles and ha gow. Very good service. Wish it was closer! Michigan girl!
A local friend recommended this place and I went with my little brother. He had the Orange Peel Chicken and he was very impressed. I ordered the krab ragoon (“Crab Puffs”) as an appetizer, and they were definitely home-made, legit, and delicious. For my meal I had Black Pepper Beef, which was also a very tasty dish. Staff were friendly and attentive. They started us with water and fried noodles with spicy Chinese mustard and sweet and sour sauce—all included, and the meal ended with a fortune cookie! Highly recommend!
