We love the quirky antique atmosphere. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Our server, Kathy, took our drink and food order quickly. I ordered the filet. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. It was served with fettuccine which was also amazing. The amount of steak on my plate was incredible! It had my filet and then the chef uses smaller cuts for presentation. My husband had the stuffed flounder. His was a large portion and delicious also.
Kathy was a great server. She was attentive without constantly interrupting, informative, pleasant. We would love to see her on our next visit.
I have read past reviews commenting about the price. For the amount of food and the quality of the food we felt we had a very good deal. Our total bill was just over $100 and that included one drink a piece and one dessert that we shared. I also saw comments that it was an elderly crowd. We are not elderly and most of the people in the restaurant were not either.
We are locals and have heard great things about Magnolia Grill. We are sorry it took us so long (about a year since hearing of it) to try it. We will definitely be back. I can’t wait to try out the lunch menu also.
The food was completely delicious and well worth the cost! The restaurant/former home took me back and smelled like grandma's home with good cooking and a relaxing atmosphere. The memorabilia all around was a plus!
The food was AMAZING. I got the filet, my wife got the chicken alfredo and our son the Mac and cheese. The atmosphere was very calming and exquisite. The owners Peggy and Tom were super friendly. The museum upstairs was breath taking. My family and I can't wait to go back!
Prices are different in person versus googles menu, so beware that. But....
We had a great time! There was live music (piano) and the place is very old and cute looking with lots of memorabilia.
The food was really good and portions were very good sizes! But it is expensive. The prices online off the google menu option are definitely wrong I added a picture of the menu for prices. It was a more expensive place but definitely worth going to for a nice night out. The portions and service are great so definitely weigh that.
They also allow kids and have a kid menu but I would never bring my kids here, its obviously a nice date night location.
5 out 5 would recommend 👌
Owners and staff were so friendly but professional. From table linens to soft live jazz style music, the dinner was just elegant.
Great lunch! They Seem to cater to an older crowd but anyone can have a delightful meal here. Lots of things to look at, lots of history to take in.
The stuffed flounder is not to be missed! Highly highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟
This is our 2nd time eating dinner here. It is a beautiful restaurant, delicious food, good service, fine dining and reservations are highly recommended.
A place with a great location and decent facilities, although a little dated, still has a nice atmosphere. The food was okay, although a little expensive given the portion sizes. They do charge for the dipping oil and you have to ask for more bread as they will not offer it. Overall left with a neutral feeling about the place, wasn't horrible, but nothing really stands out.
My boyfriend and I are visiting and we were looking for a place with good soup. After some googling we decided on Magnolia Grill. Good thing we did, this place is so quaint and the food is absolutely to die for! My boyfriend got the French onion soup, he said it was the best he's had. I got the crab cake fettuccine with shrimp. As soon as I took my first bite I was in heaven. A hack we learned was if you take the cheesy bread soaked in the French onion soup and pair it with a bite of fettuccine and shrimp... 🤌. It's a shame that we're only visiting, we would eat here on a regular basis if we loved closer.
Great experience fantastic meal. Our party had the blackened amberjack and chicken fettuccine. The museum was great. Our server Cassie did an excellent job. I rate this as the best restaurant on the gulf coast now.
If you are looking for an elegant place to enjoy a delicious meal then I highly recommend dining here. The food is divine, and the atmosphere is great! Our waitress Kathy was extremely sweet, and was very attentive to our table. The owner of the establishment made sure to stop by our table to personally ask us how we liked everything. I would eat here everyday if I could!

Now the food.
Reuben, coleslaw.
The Reuben that all Reubens in the South shall be measured by! Perfect. Sublime. Exquisite.
Coleslaw to match, refreshing and delicious.
Fried shrimp sandwich with ham n bean soup
Prime rib with salad n house balsamic.
Incredible sides, the prime rib was everything you hope to find at a wedding, graduation, five-star restaurant on the high end street of a urban big city ...without the fanfare or formal wear required. Everyone in casual relaxed beach shorts, button down country club summer shirts lovely sundresses & hats, sandals.
Desserts are lovey options
We had a brownie to share.
There is a museum upstairs.
This is a wonderful shady respite from the heat during summer. Sweet tea and charm.
Local Italian restaurant located within a history "self-build" building. Upstairs, you will find a modest "museum" dating back to WWII with various items from military service. Downstairs is the restaurant where live music was being played. The restaurant was packed full with a wait out the door. Once seated, service was good albeit slow due to the diner-to-server ratio. Food is two courses with a soup or salad being the first course followed by the main. Food was delicious and cooked to order.
The atmosphere is wonderful!!!! Quiet and the piano player on Friday 8-24-23 was AMAZING. Wine is great and service is impeccable. We came back the same week and will be back. Food was Awesome. Huge portions. For sure a hidden Gem.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Great piano player too! We will be back when visiting. We had the Ribeye, Seafood medley scampi style and cheese cake. Delicious! The Ribeye is enough to share.
