Great tenders and house sauce. Drive Thru and Take Out only. Not the fastest place, but that is in part to how busy this place gets. If you go at peak times, expect quite a wait in line.

Today was my first time eating here. We ordered BBQ dinner plate with baked beans and potato salad along with chicken tenders and fries. Chicken and fries were good, BBQ & POTATO SALAD were DISGUSTING! Took one bit of BBQ and potato salad and to the trash it went. Hate I threw that money down the drain.
Fresh, Delicious Chicken. Yard Birds is affordable, fresh food. The 6 finger, Fries, Toast, Slaw, and Sauce combo is $7.41. It's a lot of food for that price. Your wait may be longer that usual fast food, but everything is made fresh to order. This restaurant falls somewhere in the small scale Canes or Zaxbys. I personally would rate it equal with Canes and well above Zaxbys. The sweet tea is southern sweet, and pretty good as well. Overall, after one dining experience, I would say this is definitely a place to check out if you enjoy this style of food.
Great wings. Their chicken is great when they have some but it has been too many times they are out of chicken.. Avoid their pork, last I got their sandwich it was literally the scrapings off the cutting board.
Best chicken tenders in FWB! I drive from Destin on my lunch breaks at times just to have lunch there! Great food!!
I stopped by the tire place next door and got hungry. Great place for lunch! I am a fan of zaxbys and this is pretty good too. LOTS of different sauces and not too expensive.
Huge Portion, Great Food, Great Price!!. I was down in ft Walton on business and wanted a good shrimp Po' Boy. I read some positive reviews about this place and they definitely delivered! The bldg doesn't look like much on the outside, but never judge a book by its cover! I got a huge sandwich overflowing with cajun style shrimp, seasoned fries, and some excellent bbq beans. If your looking for some good food with huge portions and a great price on the go, this is your place!
I can't believe I've lived in this area for twenty years and have only discovered how awesome this place is recently. Food is made fresh so be prepared for the wait but it's worth it! Best honey mustard sauce
Best chicken tenders in the 850! You hear that Guthrie's in tally? You may be the best in Tallahassee but Yard Birds has got you beat.
I love the chicken fingers from here. I started going here before they added the BBQ. I have only tried the BBQ one time (pork sandwich) and it was terrible. I will not try it again. But the chicken, fries, and toast are always fresh and delicious.
Awesome food. I created an account just to write this review. This is one of the best fast food places in existence. Awesome bbq pork, awesome chicken strips, awesome fries. I've eaten here at least 30 times and have yet to have bad food. The food and service is always excellent. Hopefully they will expand 1 day. They could become a national chain if they expanded. If you haven't tried them yet, do it. You won't regret it. Highly recommended.

Hearty food, good prices. I was over in Mary Ester for work and passed by this place. Its been on my list to check out for a while, and today seemed as good as any. Its nothing to look at from the road, but seems to always have a crowd of hard working folks at the walkup window, and a line of cars in the drive-thru.
I did the drive-thru, and decided to try the Shrimp Po' Boy. The young lady taking my order, was polite, and helpful. She offered both tarter sauce and cocktail sauce with my meal. I got a large takeout box filled to the brim with food. My sandwich was large, piled high with small battered and fried shrimp, and offset with fresh lettuce and several thin slices of tomato. The large poor boy roll was buttered and toasted. My meal included a cup of slaw and a pile of fries.
This is a working persons joint. The shrimp and fries are from frozen, but are well prepared and tasty. I must confess, it reminded me of Sunday dinner when I was a kid. Shrimp always was a welcome treat, and fresh shrimp was never an option. Mom would buy boxed frozen shrimp and fix them after church. The fries will remind you of Ore-Ida's best.
Bottom line, you get a lot of food at a good price. This is not fine dining. The sweet tea is spot on. I will be back to try the pork and chicken. If they spruce the place up a bit, make the outside seating more welcoming, they will attract more clients.

A Favorite. This one of our favorite places to eat. The staff are friendly and professional. We love the menu. The price is reasonable and the portion is fair. During our first 5 visits the food was excellent. Then there was this one time though that I received a cold BBQ pork sandwich (normally the buns are toasted) and the buns tasted stale, in my opinion. I think they need to just look after that. I thought of not going back because of that, but I decided to try them again. I've been getting hot and fresh food ever since.

Good chicken, and very good BBQ. They limit their smoked meats to certain days but it's always fresh tasting. The red pepper relish is the best. Better than chain fast food places.

Nothing Fancy. But hey, who needs fancy when you can get excellent chicken and bbq at Yard Birds? Great food, great folks, no nonsense, just good grub at reasonable prices, and you don't need to get out of your car. Forget the fast food joints down the street and swing on by Yard Birds. You won't be disappointed.

Way better than Zaxby's!. I love this locally owned drive-thru! The chicken fingers are amazing and their house sauce is addicting! It is always busy when I go there...the locals love it. A must try if you are in the area. After eating here I decided to try Zaxby's since It seemed to be popular....not even close. Yard Birds tastes much better.

Support for the locally owned!. This is the place for fried chicken in FWB. It's pretty much a locally owned version of Zaxby's, but it's been around way longer than Zaxby's has been in town. Everything I have ever had there has been very tasty. Chicken dinner plate is standard, do it!
Chicken tastes so good it would have made Roosevelt walk. Don't forget the chipotle ranch!

Great Chicken. The chicken and fries are great. If you have never tried this place do yourself a favor and get a chicken strip dinner. This is definitely one of those places that fit the saying do not judge a book by the cover.
Tavaris needsa raise or a customer service award or something. He will be the reason why people are returning customers. His customer service skills are above standard. His level of respect is what drives people back. I will definitely be coming back with my family to get more food.
Me and boyfriend were hungry for chicken so we decided to come here again. He ordered wings and he absolutely loved them, he said they were the best wings he's ever had. And I ordered the chicken tenders, they were so good and had lots of flavor. The seasoned fries are my personal favorite. The worker who took our order was very nice, was a good experience.
No inside dining, but the food is always good. Drive thru can be a little backed up, but I guess that's because folks really enjoy this place. I was just there last night in fact...👍🏾
It was my first time eating there today and I got my food to go. The gentleman that helped me through the drive thru was nice and professional. I ordered a 10 Just the Tenders and got a large sweet tea. I paid for it at the window and the gentleman that was helping me said that they had dipped my tenders in honey mustard and I said I didn't know you can do that so he gave me 10 extra no charge! I was like well dang! Good eating in my opinion. The chicken is tasty, not heavily breaded, and juicy as all hell. Def eating there again.
First time we've eaten here, always wanted to try it..We were not disappointed 😋 Wing dinners we're excellent.. everything was cooked just right and full of flavor! French fries are really, really good.. loved the seasoning. Coleslaw was some of the best we've had around!! The man at the drive thru is awesome 👍 Thanku for a great dinner 🤗

I got the 6 tenders, had em toss dem thangs in Hot Buffalo, got an additional piece of TX Toast, extra side of Cole Slaw, Blue Cheese for the Dippin, & xtra crispy fries!!!
I re-plated with my own plate at home built that sandwich out & out the slaw down direcy on top of the tenders! Also, the Lemonade is Homemade & on point! (I just add a bit of Strawberry Fanta to get that Xtra sugar kick!

& if I'm not super hungry I'll grab a Pork Chop sandwich which is on its own level of badassery!

I can't say anything negative about Yard Birdz. I've found something else about them that I love, and that is their potato salad. Omg,I usually never order potato salad from anyone. Too many thing s can go wrong, but theirs was delicious. So coodos,yes, coooodooosss!!

I did a drive-thru at yardbirds. I got wings and a dipping sauce and I chose the garlic Parmesan wings. The sauces are good and the wings are delicious! Drive through person was very friendly.
Always on the money . I get the fish and shrimp dinner and it’s out of control. Plus the lemonade they got in there shouldn’t be legal it’s so good. I’ve been eating here for years and they never miss. The window time is a couple extra minutes but for the food you get you have to wait, it’s prepared on the spot fresh, the time comes with the quality.
