This is one of our favorite places to eat! We’ve been there lots of times and have always had a great experience and wonderful food. My kids especially like the margherita pizza!
We stopped in because we heard they had excellent pizza.. from Lafayette they do not have much selection .... it was the best pizza ever!!!! We also had 1/2 salad and bruschetta . The service and food was superb and I highly recommend!! Will defiantly be a return customer ... wish they would open one up in Lafayette!!! 5 stars .....

When the grandsons are in town, they live in Avon and I live in Warsaw, we always go to 800 Degrees. One of them can not have gluten so he always orders a gluten free pizza which is cooked in a different oven so not to be contaminated, then Gets a Cesar Salad with no worries on that either. Always have great service. Last time we were there we ate outside and service was even better. Keep it up 800 Degrees, we will be back this fall when they are on break.
Best Gluten-free pizza I've had yet! Delicious! I recommend this to all of my friends!
Great pizza, crust just like I expected, spicy chili oil added a good kick. Claire provided great service in the bar section. Will be a regular weekly stop for us
Advertise your vegan cheese and sausage! It will attract so many people in Fort Wayne and is so delicious. Thank you.
Love the sandwiches except not yesterday 🙁 my husband bit into it and his bridge on his teeth came out! Ugh expensive lunch dang!
Crazy good pizza, and kentucky bourbon barrel ale is very good.
I was raised in Italy and this pizzeria is THE only place that brings back the flavors from home. Great job!
Would put as 1 top 2 on my list of favorite pizza spots ever!!!
Fabulous pizza. It's as close to Italian pizza as I've had in the area. Wonderful definitely return to this location .
Amazing pizza! Best I've had in the Ft. Wayne area.. And lots of options!! Plus my kids loved it!
Great food for every appetite.
Delicious food. Drinks were good variety of craft selections and inexpensive. Lunch special (personal pan/salad combo) was a great deal. Bar service from Jonah was wonderful!
I come here with my family and we love this place. We usually get a salad and pizza to share. Great tasting salads and pizzas!! We have never been disappointed
I'm willing to spend 20 bucks on pizza for one if it tastes like this. I just wish I could figure out their complicated ordering system....
I had the hawaiian pizza, it was delicious, and good quality ingredients. I also had the mista salad, it was equally delicious. I don't mind paying extra for quality food. The confusing part for me is the service. I really think they should commit to full service or self service, instead of the odd combo that they are doing. When my husband and I were eating there were three servers standing around. I am a cook myself, and seeing waitstaff stand around gossiping drives me crazy! I think they could follow the model of say , five guys, or firehouse subs... seat yourself, order at counter and call out a number. Or go full service. The half and half is weird and I didn't know if we were supposed to tip, since we ordered at the front and got our own drinks and to go box.
Great food, odd service.
One of our favorites!. We have been going here ever since it opened and we love it.
The pizza is a different style, but we like it a lot. We usually get the panni pazo and a pizza. We recently tried the pasta and it was great as well. The service has always been fast and courteous. I also like the selection of craft beers. We go here quite often and have never been disappointed.
My only complaint is that they used to show only soccer games on the TVs. I guess they were going for the Italian vibe. They now show basketball and football - so all is good.
Like the pizza, more gourmet than normal Pizza Hut. Little pricey to feed the whole baseball team, but perfect for a family dinner.
Yum. Have only been here once, as I live downtown now I frequent the new location. Big fan of all the different types of pizza. Also, there's always a fantastic selection of beer and wine. Like the lunch specials.
OK pizza. I took my boys there today. I try to go to every pizza place that opens in my town, because I love pizza and want to try different types. I eat pizza at least three times a week. We ordered the pepperoni and carne pizza and the pirelli. I liked the pizza, my boys did not. I will never go again even though I liked the pizza. Why??? The two 11 inch pizzas, bread with cheese and sauce plus two soft drinks came to 45.00. Way over priced. We could have at Pizza Forum two days in a row for 45.00. I did vote a thumbs up even though I won't go back. I am just being honest. Good pizza, but very over priced.
Good but pricey. The food here is good and fresh. A good value though, it isn't. The pizza's are small and thin, not much to them to warrant such high prices.
Great food, atmosphere, and beer selection!!. We recently moved to Fort Wayne and 800 degrees pizza is quickly becoming one of our "goto" restaurants. We always get excellent food and service, and we really enjoy the atmosphere. The price is moderately high, but it reflects the quality of food they serve. Overall, highly recommended!!
Great Pizza. Great pizza, good salad. Nice date idea, wouldnt take my kids there. Loved the quality of ingredients and the taste of the wood fire. Cant wait to go back!
I love this restaurant. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the food was just as good during non peak hours. Plus the bartender was friendly and quick. I really love the 800 degree pizza and Caesar salad.
Best Pizza in Town. What more can I say? If I go out for Pizza, I go to 800 Degrees. As a matter of fact, I brought four pizzas home for a small get together with friends. Their reaction when I walked through the door said it all.
Ridiculously good pizza. Price aside, at least you get what you pay for when it comes to taste. My favorite is the Funghi which is filled with a delicious variety of mushrooms. They have a gluten free crust option which is amazing, you would never know it isn't traditional pizza dough.
It was enjoyable. Not something I would crave but a nice spot for lunch on the weekends.
Great, italian style pizza.
Almost, but not yet. The Good
-Fresh ingredients
-Quality ingredients (Finally, someplace that carries prosciutto)
-Correct baking temp, traditional wood baking heat source, traditional brick oven
-Beer selection was interesting and worth a trip alone
The Bad (Think Cici's pizza here)
-Service is odd, some full service is available, at the bar and outside, but most service is non-existent. You order like at a fast food restaurant, except for alcohol you get your drink like a fast food restaurant, they bring your order, they take your plates. So, do you tip??? I really have no idea.
-Wine list. There was not a single Italian wine, and no Chianti. This is a real tragedy for an Italian pizzeria.
The Ugly
-As in all great pizzas the crust is the foundation, this one is ugly. Perhaps they've killed the starter, bought an inferior starter, or frankly don't use one? Bad water? Perhaps they don't take the time to make the dough? Either shortcuts or bad starter dough, this crust is not chewy, doesn't fold right, doesn't break right, is heavy, and doesn't taste right.
-Crust could be thinner, and baked a little longer.
On a scale of 0-10, where chef boyardee is 0, and East of Chicago is 1, Pizza Hut 1.3, 800 Degrees Wood Fired Oven Pizza is a solid 5. If you want to try a real pizza Margherita, there are several places on the east coast that come close to Italy and the real deal. However, 800 Degrees Wood Fired Pizza is not yet one of them.
On my visit I had a Pirelli appetizer, which fortunately doesn't taste like a tire, I had a pizza Margherita, a calzone (it is pronounced Kal-ts'own-eh, not Kalzone), and a 12oz Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (Although I have my doubts on the full 12 oz).
Price -Once they figure out how to make the dough and bake it long enough, they could go up in price. As it is, it is good value for the price.
BTW, I should point out I've been to Napoli, I've lived in Florence and I've had the real deal.
Fresh and Delicious. Worth the price.
Garlic pizza. I was in fort wayne visiting family and my sister took me to 800 degrees for lunch. i now live in upstate ny and i must say 800 degrees far surpasses any pizza i have ever had even in upstate ny. i greated my own garlic aioli sauce with mushrooms and cheese out of their create your own pizza..out of this world!!! i wish we had 800 degrees in upstate ny. i would visit it just about every day.. if you have a chance to visit where there is 800 degree pizza get some!!!
Very good!. I had heard mixed reviews from friends about 800 Degrees, but decided to check it out for my mom's birthday. She is gluten intolerant, so it was a nice treat that she was able to eat pizza without worrying. It was an additional $3 for gluten free crust, but was well worth it! Everyone enjoyed the pizza and the salads; I would definitely recommend this place!
Unique!. I really liked 800 degrees because of their unique menu and ingredients to choose from. If you are looking for a plain boring pepperoni pizza don't go here. That is why it is so great. Not to mention it is really good too.
I don't live in Fort Wayne anymore and everytime I come back to visit family and friends I have to stop here for the signature 800 degree pizza. Also half my family is gluten free and they can make there pizzas gluten free
First time, probally the best pizza I have ever ate so far. Prices a bit high, but that can be expected for the high quality of ingredents and being fired in imported oven from Italy. Definitely will be back.
Good but Pricey. The wait-staff was great. Atmosphere, ok. Thin, chewy crust, and lots of original/gourmet options. I ordered 2 regular pizzas,(which are about 10 inches) a kid's pizza (super mini) and a Gluten free pizza (again, about 10"), 2 drinks and my bill was $53. Quite pricey.
Never disappointed by the food from here!
Pinnacle of Pizzadom in Ft Wayne. This is the way Italians make and eat pizza- in Italy. Crisp crust, light, fresh high-quality toppings and just a touch of cheese. This is the 800 Degree Pizza product. The best in the area.
This was my first experience of Wood Fired Pizza at this Restaurant, we ordered the 800 degree, since then me and my wife have kind of adapted the recipe to use at home. Overall good pizza.
Great flavors! Came here during a business trip on a recommendation from the front desk clerk at my hotel. I had the Margherita pizza and the mista salad. The pizza had a great, slightly smoked flavor to the crust that also had a great chewy/crispy balance to the crust. Not too heavy at all. What I really, really loved was the mista salad. Awesome flavor with a strong vinegarette, fresh greens and rich pine nuts. Check this place out!
Tasty. We went there the other day when they were slow so its hard to comment on the service even though the waitress was very helpful & friendly. We had a pep, saus, & mushroom pie. It had fantastic taste & the crust was just as good. The only thing I would've changed it the way they do the pepperoni. It was pretty greasy & if they would just precook it just a bit it wouldnt be so greasy. But all in all that was one of the best pies we have ever had in the FORT.
This place is great. Huge change from the other cookie cutter pizza places.
This place is great! Good atmosphere and the food is fantastic!
Great pizza place!. The food is wonderful and the service is great. It's a little pricey for pizza, but it's definitely worth the cost. Their beer selection is great, too. So, I'd recommend giving it a shot.
1st timers, great food. The food/drinks dont match the boxy strip mall atmosphere. this place is great, no joke. affordable by all means. 2 fat guys got full for under $20 (- the 3 beers)
I had a fantastic pizza there last night, and a beer thats in my top 5 ever favorites. congrats to this chef for his experience and his place, but heres to hoping he gets out of the box.
Flavor Party in your mouth! Great food, very clean and friendly staff. A must visit again.
Amazing!!!!! Some of the best pizza I've had!!! A must if your in the mood for pizza!
I'm a big fan of 800 degree pizza. It reminds me of pizza I used to get while living in italy. Wood fired pie is the best IMO.
Good though service is weird. The pizza is good and fairly priced since they are using top-notch ingredients. I had the 800 degree pizza and my wife made her own. We both really liked our pies.
The confusing thing was how service worked. You place your own order and some brings it out. You also can fill your own soda at the soda fountain. It acts like a fast causal place though it looks like tradition restaurant. It was confusing because we didn't know whether to tip or not.
Delicious. I normally don't review food, but 800 degrees, while pricy, is, in my opinion, 10 cuts above any other pizza in Fort Wayne. The toppings are mostly of local origin, and of very high quality, and the wood cooking adds a delicious flare to the crust that you can't get anywhere else in fort wayne.
This place is always packed, and the pizza is the reason, not the serivce, which is lacking, though the people are nice enough.
This type of pizza is not for everyone. It is not bland and tasteless, and you could very well get a burst of flavor that sticks to your mouth, real flavor, not chemicaly enhanced. I feel good after eating this pizza, fill up with less (meaning my body is satisfied with the real food, whereas it is not with standard pizza), and don't feel sick the next two days.
What a great place. The price is right for the cool atmosphere they provide. The 800 degree pizza is spicy enough to fill your urge for a wild taste in your mouth but not so spicy you die. Two thumbs up we will be back.
The One. I have been searching for the ultimate pizza for years, and I have found it! A pizza lover all of my life, my first job was working in a mom & pop pizza joint in high school. We made some great pizzas there, but I moved away & been searching for something that measured up ever since. That was 20 yrs. ago.
First of all, 800 degrees was packed when I went, but it was worth the wait. The concept of ordering and paying at the counter, then having a waited table is not new. Mancino's has been doing this for years. The person taking my order was quick and kept up with me the whole way. They know what they're doing.
I ordered a small salad as a starter, and it was as great as salads I've had at upscale steak houses. Roasted veg, lots of fresh shredded cheese. No iceberg lettuce-yay!
When the pizza came, I was in heaven. I got the Funghi with pepperoni added. The crust is amazing-soft and flavorful on the inside, light and crisp on the outside. The toppings were fresh and perfectly proportioned to let all of the flavors shine. I swapped a slice of mine with my son's House Special, the 800 degree, and was impressed. I was afraid it would be too hot but it was just right. I never thought ricotta would be good on pizza, but it was.
I can't wait to go back again.
The carne and the bianco pizzas are delicious and the crust is buttery goodness. The mista salad is also really good.
Delicious Pizza with Unique Toppings. I think this is an excellent restaurant. The food is a little on the expensive side, but you can always take home the leftovers. The salads are amazing with excellent greens and toppings. The pizza is very good with a chewy crust and just the right amount of toppings. Watch out if you order the 800 Degree pizza - it is very spicy! Overall this is a great place, and I am glad it is making its mark in Fort Wayne!
WARNING. First time customer. I ordered carry out.
I felt obligated to pay for the pizza.
NEVER again.
15 bucks for the SMALLEST take out pizza i have ever seen. (think personal pan pizza).
I figure i paid 15 bucks for about a dollar 50 worth of stuff.
Save your money and get 2 buckets of chicken instead.
First visit. LOVED IT. Bravo to a local company doing creative, delicious work with fresh food. First visit today and we will be returning very soon. Kat
Pretty Good. This was a good pizza. We had the Margarita and Pepperoni pizzas. Nice flavor, Nice Drink Selection, Decent set up. A bit overpriced for what we got. Overall I recommend it.
Best Pizza in the Fort. I tried 800 Degrees while running my Mom around on errands. She and I were both delighted. Authentic Napoli style pizza is just what was served us and it was remarkable! Mom said she hadn't had such good pizza since we left New Jersey in 1959! I was so impressed by the food I later brought my wife. I'll admit I would prefer not having to get our own soft drinks, and order at the counter. Food of this quality should be served with equal aplomb, it was not. On my second visit the server was a bit of a flake. I feel at these prices, one should be able to expect a higher level of service than was delivered here. but the food ROCKS!
The GF crust was even good!. My husband and I decided to try 800 degree pizza because I have celiac and love pizza. They offer a gluten free crust, so after experiencing Mancino's and B. Antonio's gluten free pizzas, I wanted to try the one at 800 Degree. It was refreshing. Most other gluten free crusts fall apart and get soggy. This one was thin and crispy (kind of similar to Pizza Hut's normal thin crust)! It even held up left over. The pepperoni had a really good flavor. My husband enjoyed their "carne" aka meat lover's pizza.
I do agree, that their prices are a little high (our bill for two pizzas and two drinks + tip was $37 but we also had half of our pizzas left so next time we will probably share one). The service and the pizza was good, we will definately be going back. :) I just wish we lived on that side of town!
Good Italian Pizza. Good Italian pizza, chewy crust, spicy sauce, great cheese, and cooked to perfection. Very few places actually serve Italian style. Most try to imitate New York (soft crust and much blander flavors), Chicago (thick bread with lots of cheese), or Cardboard (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's, etc.). Greasy - yes, but that's what you get from REAL meat and REAL cheese, cooked at that temperature, instead of the plastic stuff cooked at 600 that's served on the Cardboard pizzas. If you're looking for something a little more American, but still a good pizza (not Cardboard), try Lexy's.
One of my favorites!. I've been here a half-dozen times, and every time it has been delicious. They have unique combinations of toppings as well as some standards. (Try the 800 Degree Pizza for an amazing spicy treat.) The garlic bread is different--it's basically bread with cheese grated on it--but the flavor is tops. The only thing I've found that is comparable in town are the wood-fired pizzas at Casa's...also very good.
However, if you are looking for a run-of-the-mill pizza chain, don't bother coming here. So many of the negative reviews sound like they're coming from people who wanted Papa Johns, didn't get it, and got mad. Look at the place you're going to beforehand, they have a website! And as for the woman who said the bottom of the pizza was "dirty"...it's fired in a real wood oven, genius!
Good at what they do (5 visits). They make a special kind of pizza that requires a brick oven. They seem to care about sourcing quality local ingredients when they can. The food they offer is a great addition to the Ft. Wayne cuisine.
They have the highest quality pizza in town, but it comes at a premium price as well. If you eat to fill your stomach, go to dominoes. If you want a great blend of herbs and toppings on deliciously baked pizza crust, definitely go here.
Their beer selection is amazing. Again, not in quantity but in quality. The taps rotate and they have several craft beers available at any time. (So tired of the Bud, Bud Light or Killian's draft selection in FW)
I have mixed feelings about the atmosphere. I have kids so I appreciate paying upfront and leaving whenever we are finished. When it gets busy, it looks like a mad house. People are lined up behind the cash register and there aren't any tables available.
This place is a must go if you like quality food. Don't let yourself get turned off by the atmosphere.
Great Place for a Date. The place shines a bright light on Fort Wayne pizza. Great selection of salads and fantastic bruschetta. The wood fired pizza actually has cheese that has flavor! If your looking for anything that tastes like pizza hut don't go here. Staff is polite tentative and extremely accommodating. A must place to visit for local diners.
Enjoyed the 800, Saliccia, the Veggie Lover, and Pepperoni. The Forno salad was lacking; go with the bruschetta or pane pazzo instead. Also seem to have a nice selection of wine. Great service. Great Atmosphere and outdoor seating. The prices are fair for this gourmet-style menu. Grab a cookie up at the bar before you go!
They also have excellent cheesy bread that is not on the menu - gotta ask for it!
So you looking for real authentic and fire cooked pizza? Well 800 Degrees Wood Fired Pizza is as close as you're going to get! With there fresh cut veggies and fresh authentic dough. All cooked over a wood fire. You are only getting the best Pizza in town! I dare you to try it!
Fresh. Legit. Delic. Nothing more to be said. =)
Great place. Went a few weeks ago knowing what to look for in a woodfired pizza orderd the margarita the true test of any pizzaiolo , it was the best pizza i have had in Fort Wayne some are just ok one place B.T just waste there oven ..and the House is just good not great well 800 does a better job then most in the area however its not as good as Pizzologys in Carmel but a close 2nd Chef/Manager/Pizzailo brothers Matt and Criss are as great as the place well worth the 50 min drive if you want a good pizza in Fort Wayne go to 800 I know what good pizza is,Im V.P.N trained. I should know .
Domer. Clean and modern atomosphere. Upscale furnishings and artwork. Individual pizzas were excellent. This is our family's new, favorite pizza place!
First off they have Bell's Oberon, so that goes a long way. The atomosphere is very casual, order at the counter then wait. The food was great, and the pies where a good value.
Very Good - I don't understand the bad reviews!. The pizzas and salads are very good. For the quality of what you get, I think the prices are very good.
Their beer selection is also very good.
I really don't understand all the bad reviews. Perhaps the reviewers hoped for the "awesome" experience of either treating themselves to a Papa John's clone or immersing themselves in a Pizza Hut-style "come-n-git-it" atmosphere.
Don't get me wrong, sometimes one of these mass-produced pizzas is all that will scratch and itch. But if you want something that is a cut above, I recommend an 800 pizza.
Poor reviews based on service may be accurate, but I have never had a bad experience (been there at least 6 times during peak hours, and sometimes with a larger party).
