Reviews Big Apple Pizza

I tried their pizza at the Tippy Creek Winery in Leesburg. I was a little skeptical of prices, even though I was sure the pizza would be amazing because of the choices. I got a slice of the Gramma pizza, which was only $3, and it was huge! I was also worried about it not being crisp enough to bite into since I only had one hand available (I had a drink in the other hand and was standing) but again, I was surprised by how the crust was crisp enough and not doughy. Super impressed! I am so glad they are not in my area all of the time because I would eat it way too much haha :)

We first heard about Big Apple Pizza from an Italian friend who is both from New York and only eats pizza from Big Apple Pizza. We finally made it today, and it is literally as though a small slice of NYC is here for the experience. Real New Yonkers, real NYC style pizza pies and the best ingredients. Last time I had pizza this good was Manhattan in 2011. We think this is the best pizza by far in Fort Wayne. We like supporting a private local business, and we will look no further for Italian food in Fort Wayne. Plus, the service is NYC friendly and watching the pizza being made is seeing artisans at work, rather than employees in a kitchen adding ingredients to an oven. We are very fortunate to have found Big Apple, and will be regular customers from this day on.

The Big Apple Club is the best Deli sandwich in town. Lots of good fresh ingredients plus really crisp bacon. The house made bread puts the sandwich over the top. I love this place.

The only place in Fort Wayne that you can find actual authentic New York style pizza. As someone who lived in Manhattan for 4 years, I can say that this is without a doubt the closest thing I've found in Fort Wayne to NYC pizza.

Got to visit the food truck while it was out for lunch on the square. My husband and I both had a slice of "Hells kitchen " and wow it was good. Little dollops of the most delicious ricotta cheese I have ever had, mixed with the perfect amount of garlic. Then you get into the melty cheese and spot on sauce, and then BAM, perfectly cooked crust. It was so good I can't wait for my next visit!

I stopped in tonight and grabbed a pepperoni and chicken, bacon and ranch pizza slice and it was amazing. I forgot to ask for my slices to be browned off a bit, but the crust was like a cracker...out of this world!! I love grabbing a slice vs. a whole pizza, I'll be back!!

This is the best pizza in Fort Wayne! Seriously, best sauce, best cheese, the crust is thin, but not too thin.

Because we got a little business I didn't get to have my supper while at work. I decided to check Big Apple's Deli truck out for my late supper afterwards. I was not disappointed! I got the egg sandwich with bacon and American cheese. The sandwich was large and absolutely delicious. The best part, it was wonderfully priced. I can't wait to try their pizza, I'm certain it won't disappoint.

The most authentic New York style pizza I've discovered since moving here from the east coast. Definitely worth the experience for anyone who has not had this style pizza.

Ordered a large Manhattan Cosmopolitan pizza and a half order of garlic knots to go through their website. Total was $22.00. Was told it would be ready in an hour. My wife went to pick up the pizza, upon arriving and asking about our order she was told that we didn't have a pizza in under that name. The man was very confused. I sent her screenshots of the order conformation, he looked at them and used our order number to find the order which was never made. He then gave us someone else's pizza, so, I'm sorry to that person. This is a fairly new place and very busy, so I understand them still having some issues getting a system down, but their 1 star reviews tend to be little issues like this that could be easily resolved with some more organization. On to the pizza. The pizza was fantastic. The cheese was some of the best I've had, melted perfectly and with great flavor. The sauce is also extremely flavorful and doesn't cease to amaze. The curst left some to be desired, it didn't have the crunch that you expect a thin crust to have, the underside was barely done as there were no dark spots. I prefer a pizza that is a little toasted. The slices are cut very large, pizza tasted fresh and is well priced. 9.4/10, lacking only because of crust. Bonus review: Garlic Knots. These were fantastic. Not only was the bread itself good, but the sauce was incredible, unlike any garlic sauce I've had, very fresh tasting. I would definitely come back for here. Hopefully they can figure out their organizational issues.

I have heard some people say this is the best pizza in Fort Wayne, and they aren't wrong. I was absolutely blown away by how great this pizza is. I come from the East Coast, and this is very close to what you can get there. I got the 24" margarita pizza pictured below. The slices were huge, just like you can get from the shops in New York! The flavor was amazing and it was easily enough pizza to feed 4 adults. I can't wait to get my next pie!

This is a must visit for a pie in the Fort! I have been here over a dozen times and I will say they do not disappoint! I have had the pizza and garlic knots. The pizza is fantastic, 4.4 of 5. The garlic knots are good, but not great, they need a little more flavor, in my opinion. I am going to say that this is currently the best place for pie in the Fort.

Update 2/14/22- While I was extremely frustrated with my burnt pizza, Management team reached out to me and was very helpful and wanted to make it right. They gave me a full refund even though I only had one pizza that was really burnt. Great customer service. 2/13/22- Mmmm.. I love burnt pizza especially on Super Bowl Sunday with all my friends. $60 for 2 pizzas that are burnt. How do you look at this and think its expectable to leave the store

This pizza is amazing… popular downtown spot. Another nearby place we had planned to go to had no room so we went here and we were not disappointed! Got 2 24 inch pizzas which we twice what we needed but now we have leftovers. Service was friendly and fast. As most places these days they were short staffed this night but were transparent about it and still knocked it out of the park!

Love the pizza, it's unique in Fort Wayne. By far my favorite by the slice place, and one of the very best thin style pizzas in town. Crispy outside chewy inside thin crust with a great flavor, and the toppings are always just right. I like mine with just a little extra sauce on the side. If you love pizza and live in or are passing through the Fort this is a must stop shop.
