MADE RIGHT THERE!. He makes the ice cream right there! All Natural, but I'm leery of the word Natural these days. But for him to make it there says alot for the quality. AND they have Menudo, every day! Can't wait to try that!
What took me so long?. This is my new go-to ice cream place! I had the Pine Nut ice cream and my husband had the Butter Strawberry. Both were unique and so tasty. You can't beat homemade. Oh, and the actual food is really good too! I'll be back for sure.
Best Tacos. Hands down my favorite tacos in Fort Wayne, and 6 dollars for 3 tacos, rice and beans? You can't beat that. Their ice cream is phenomenal too!
I spend a lot of time in Ft. Wayne & had been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant & I found it. While the menu isn't large, what they do serve is most excellent. I had the steak hurache & smothered it in green sauce. I now have a happy tummy. I will most definitely be back.
Great little place on wells. Nice variety of flavors that you don't normally see. Ice cream tasted great and had a shaved ice feel to it.
Great homemade ice cream very pleasant owner.. We stopped by this ice cream shop/ Mexican grill with our daughter. We found La Michoacana had excellent homemade ice as well as other homemade ice cream treats. The owner, Victor, is an extremely pleasant individual and is quite proud of his shop. Victor provides all guests with personal attention as he invites and encourages everyone to sample his products. It is quite evident his ice cream is made with only high quality products. The other treats are authentic Mexican style treats which are clearly unique to our culture. We have since made another trip to La Michoacana and were equally impressed with the entire experience. The pricing structure is extremely competitive with most price points under $3.00 which is far less than most of the generic national chain ice cream shops. We never have eaten any of the food items on the menu but fully intend to do so based upon our positive experience with the staple ice cream items offered.
Enjoyed a chocolate cone and wife tried an eggnog Popsicle. Both were good.
Big, tasty, & good!. Took group here today - three of my engineers and a service guy. Between the five of us, ordered pork and chicken burritos, and a Cubana [w/o veggies - mine :) ], washed down with fruit drinks. All was very good - only qualm with mine was the sliced pork was bit on the dry side... if that is how its supposed to be, my apologies. The burritos are large, very much filled - one could make two meals. Service was likewise very good - friendly, prompt, and helpful for us gringos. Definitely worth returning - esp. to try some of the paleteria's... frozen ice pops from fresh fruit.
Very good Tamales and Horchata. Driven by this place many times before stopping. Boy am I glad I stopped. It is very good.
Please be aware I have only eaten their guava icecream.
The service at the truck in Promenade park was very polite and respectful. Many times the customers weren’t sure what they wanted in line, but the employees still waited without judgment on their face.
The desert maintained the sweet flavor of a guava and I undoubtedly will look for the truck any time I see a food truck line.
Some of the best fish tacos in town, and great ice cream!!! Perfect local place for lunch.
UPDATE- Also tried their food truck down town, just as excellent trying their burrito, elites in a cup, and waffle bowls.
Mexican Ice Cream place but everything on the menu is great! (That's what we go there for). Specials that are not on the menu. HOMEMADE CHIPS AND GUACAMOLE! Cuban sandwiches are to die for. Across from Hyde Brothers popular book store. AMAZING ❗❗
Awesome fish tacos, really unique and delicious ice cream flavors!
Excellent horchata and one of my favorite places to go for ice cream. I'm excited to try more of their offerings, such as the mangonada. Tried the fish tacos and they were quite good as well. Definitely recommend checking out this little gem.
