Super excellent ice cream experience!
Spent a 100-degree afternoon with my daughter in Fort Worth. We were both exhausted and ready for a treat when we found MELT. MELT features fantastic homemade style ice cream in the trendy historic Fairmount Southside district in Fort Worth.
My daughter ordered a lemon sorbet, and I had a single scoop of Salt Lick, a "housemade buttery and salty caramel ice cream." Both flavors were amazing and were beyond our expectations. The heaping single scoop portions were more than generous.
The cones were fresh made on the waffle Irons behind the serving area where the staff was busily and courteously helping the many patrons standing in the line. We waited outside for a minute or so to get in, but who cares.
Not super spacious inside, but there's a small seating area and additional seating outside. Even with all the folks coming in behind us, it never really felt crowded.
My daughter accidentally dropped some of the sorbet onto the floor when she was handed the cone, and the server instantly replaced the lost bit with a fresh scoop.
Awesome experience. Thank you, MELT!
Creamy, delicious, and creative!! Love all the flavors and the freshness of their ingredients. There was a line but it moved fairly quickly. You get to taste their flavors before you make a decision which is definitely a plus since they have so many unique pairings. I will be going back to try more
Lovely ice cream spot! They have some of the best ice cream in the city, and they're fairly priced. They have a ton of flavor options, and they welcome all the sample requests! I tried 4 or 5 flavors before deciding on the tiramisu flavor, and I was not disappointed! Creamy, soft, delicious. They also have cone and ice cream sandwich options, which I will certainly try in the future. This is great place to go after a coffee or dinner date on Magnolia!
What a great great after dinner on a hot Texas evening! Melt is quick to serve and delicious. Ricky Road and Peachy Keen topped the list for our group but everything on the menu sis good. Even the shakes are wonderful.
Sad they are not as nice and not as good as before. I remember when Melt was first opened like about 10 years ago at Magnolia st. It was across the street from the current location, plane weird white small building. Their flavor was richer, sweeter, just better. For the first time in like 5 years, I came back missing that flavor. Sadly the place I remembered was gone. It’s now just a plane ice cream store that you can find anywhere.. but it’s good to see their business expending and doing well.
A super cute lil shop near many other shopping places and shops in Fort Worth! They have a wide array of options and I am dairy free so enjoyed their summer pineapple sorbet made with fresh pineapple jam. The sorbet was super fresh and tasted similar to Taiwanese pineapple cake filling! Loved it!
Nice little ice cream shop with a cool atmosphere and good ice cream will be back
We have been to melt many times, and it has always been great! I like the seasonal ice creams as well as the “always” ones. The vanilla bean ice cream is very good, as well as the horchata. The theme of the restaurant is very cute, and the rooftop balcony and patio are very cool! We have taken home several pint sized ice creams, and they’re good too!
A number of custom ice cream flavors. Some delicious combinations. Kids enjoyed a loaded cookie dough cone.
Came for Taco Tuesday after a fun shoot walk down Magnolia. Choice of two flavor scoops, hot fudge, caramel, and whipped cream in a taco shaped waffle. My son chose dark chocolate and strawberry. I got a scoop of BlackBerry pie. All flavors were delicious and a perfect cool down for this humid night.
Staff was sweet and fast. A little line but any place good will have a line.
DELICIOUS not only was the ice cream incredible (I had the vegan peanut butter chocolate chip) but they had the cutest outdoor patio and sweet staff. The perfect place to satisfy that sweet tooth and beat the heat
I would visit this place again for the smell alone! The freshly pressed waffle cones fill the shop with an amazing aroma that's complimented with great homemade ice cream. There are a variety of flavors to choose from, each of them delicious, to satisfy whatever craving you're in the mood for. My personal favorite might be the Cup of Texas, which is a coffee ice cream made with some local craft java! If you just can't choose, build a 3-flavor sundae.
This was a fun local find! Tasty ice creams served in a stylish and cheerful atmosphere. I tried a few, all good, and settled on their vegan (cashew cream) Pumpkin Chip. It was a seasonal flavor and a real treat.
Quite a few choices ranging from classics like vanilla and chocolate to fun and seasonal flavors. They have good toppings as well for .50 extra. Price for 4 ice creams was right at $20. They have some indoor air conditioned seating and some outdoor seating as well. They have a cool atmosphere and serve a good cause (that you can learn about on their wall) as well!
Our 1st visit to Melts, thanks to the recommendation of a friend, and it certainly won't be our last! I told my wife that it is probably a good thing we don't live any closer or I would be in big trouble. The line was down the sidewalk when we arrived, but moved quickly and the wait was more than reasonable. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and more than willing to offer samples to newbies. The saltlick, chocolate chocolate, cookie crack, and beans - we had all these flavors - were an ice cream lover's dream. So creamy and decadent! The dining area isn't very large, but there is ample room outside, or you can take your delicacies and stroll through the quaint neighborhood that surrounds this business .
Cozy little ice cream shop that smells of fresh baked waffle cones. The shop is small but very bright. The gingerbread waffle cone is packed with flavor and blends well with Beans (vanilla). I had the saltlick(salted caramel)and cup of TX(coffee) and both were good. You can request samples if you can't decide. I was there just about 730PM and made it inside. 1 minute later the line was wrapping around the building. Expect a line but it moves quickly. Pints are also available. They gave stickers to the kids and they seemed to be a hit. I'll definately be back.
I had one of the diary options, I had the horchata, one of the best vegan ice creams I have tasted. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet, it’s level of sweetness is just perfect. I don’t remember the name of what my friend got, but it was like a cookies and cream (this one was not plant based). Really loved it and would go back again. Oh and the staff was great, very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. She made it so easy for us. 🙌🏽
Ice cream, you can feel good about feeding your children. The ingredients are natural and high quality....not to mention delicious (hence the line out the door)!
