First time visit to this location. Our server was great. Very attentive and friendly. I recommend trying the chili instead of a salad. I always get salad, but felt like trying something new. Glad I did! The Smoked Sirloin is outstanding! A perfect medium rare. The smoky flavor was complimented by the peppery crust. The Strip Steak was delicious as well. Love this location. We'll be back!
Wednesday September 12 around 8pm. I had never been here but it was recommend to me. Although I was tempted to try the chicken friend steak, I opted to start with the Beau fries (potato chips and ranch), and a salad came with the 7 oz sirloin cooked medium, which also came with a baked potato. I sat outside on the deck/patio and wish they had candles or table lights available. The deck lighting is BRIGHT! The server was attentive and I never needed anything. Filing and satisfying meal :)
Been here many times. The staff is friendly and efficient. It was anniversary week so we had a bit of a wait when normally we are quickly seated.
Food was good. It's near the trailhead and the bayou. We'll be back.
Awesome food! Texas Pesos for appetizers, Chuck Sirloin (cooked to perfection!), loaded baked potato & salad for our entree. Would have liked to tried their dessert but we were full! Perhaps next time as we will be coming back when in the area. Our server was extremely friendly and courteous... as were others who attended to us. Overall A++
First time visiting Hoffbrau and man was I impressed! I ordered their 16 oz steak and it was AMAZING. I forgot how good steak tasted like before I came here! Everything was delicious, very nice staff. Try their burgers and Mac and cheese too!

Five stars for what it is. It's not a gourmet restaurant, it's just good, down-home food. The service was excellent. All the employees have a smile on their face or extremely helpful. This place has good steaks at very reasonable price and good hamburgers. For the same money, as a hamburger, you can get the chicken fried steak. It's not the best one ever, birds pretty good and it's very filling if your hungry. A little heavy on the breading but overall a decent value. Good atmosphere, reasonably priced food is a good combination. I've been here two or three times and will go back again.

Had a great experience at the HB on 377 last week that I wanted to try this one on University just south of downtown, and what an equally awesome experience! My salad was fairly standard, but our server was outstanding, and our main courses were fantastic! This time I had a full rack of the BBQ Ribs: I was starving and stuff down nearly everything - all but 3 ribs remained! I'm either a carnivorous pig or I just love great food, or both! ;) Bravo to Hogfbrau! Next time I'll try to have some modest dishes so I can save enough room for dessert! Lol!
Hoffbrau has good food and what I really like about the place is the Fort Worth location by the Trinity River is pet friendly. As you can see they welcome your friendly companion in their outdoor dining area. The waiter even brought my dog a bowl of water.
Our server Dylan was awesome, food was SOOOOO delicious. Pleasantly surprised with our surf and turf. Can't wait to go back.
