Have lived on the west side for years and only recently tried this place. Great food, good prices, attentive staff and my husbands new favorite place to eat.

I've been here lots of times over the years. The food is great, but the service is always really Great!! They don't rush you out like most restaurants. The staff has been as kind to take photos for me while there celebrating special events. It's a consistent, & really comfortable, inviting place. Food is reasonably priced. You can order traditional, healthy, or more upscale food items. A lot of variety on the menu. They bring their Delicious salsa out Ina plastic carafe so you don't have to ask the staff for refills-refill your bowl as you like. Easy to locate, & ample parking. I LOVE their patio when it's warm out.
It was our 1st time there an it was great wait staff was very friendly an on the spot food was good an hot an not cold tacos are the best all in all everything was awsome we will be back many more times over again
Cancun is my go to place for great Mexican cuisine! I especially enjoy the Shrimp Cocktail and the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. The folks are so hospitable and friendly. Love it every time!
Amazing margaritas!!! Great food!!! We shared brisket street tacos!!!
Patio is interesting for people watching! Will def go back!!!!!
We have been here several times. The shrimp cocktail is in line with what they serve in Cancun, Mexico.
I love their food and the margaritas are awesome.
We always have the best service and their chips & salsa are the real deal!
This was the second time I've eaten at Cancun's and it was every bit as good as the first time! Great food and great service!
Great service and food was so good. :) Ordered the strawberry margarita and it was amazing
Love this place. I will be back real soon..!
I️ love it! You have to get the whole fish!! It’s awesome! They cook it perfect! They have amazing soups and the service is always great! It is true Mexican food. Margaritas aren’t to bad either😉
We arrived about 1pm to a nearly deserted restaurant, but by the time we left the place had practically filled up. Tostada Ceviche started our meal and it was quite nice. I had Camrones Rancheros and I loved every bite of the Shrimp dish along with the nice salad ( I had to ask for dressing) and the rice was also flavorful. Shrimp tacos and Carne Asada were also ordered and both were very well liked. We finished with a decent Tres Leches cake. I also had a respectable margarita and this was the first time that I tried their hot sauce- Valentina and I loved it. I liked this restaurant with it's okay décor and friendly staff, but the food would more than anything bring me back.
Excellent Tex Mex. We had the cheese enchiladas and flour tortillas. We will be back. We loved the salsa because it was not super hot, but very flavorful.
The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable and not over-crowded like many places. Great happy hour margaritas!
Food was delicious. Best Chili Relleno I have had in years.
Amazing!!. I have lived in Fort Worth my entire life and never heard of this place. I must have driven past it a hundred times and did not know it existed. We tried Cancun for the first time tonight after reading great reviews on Urbanspoon and we were blown away. It is a smaller restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The ceviche and the fajitas were fantastic and the prices are great. If you've never been, Cancun is definitely worth a visit.
Best Service. CANCUN MEXICAN RESTAURANT
has the best service, great food, and prices to match!
They are making a beautiful patio for the loyal patrons to enjoy an
authentic meal on the scenic Camp Bowie Boulevard.
Try their Great margaritas and Micheladas!!
Read the reviews and decided it was worth trying. We were not disappointed this place is great! Food & service could not be any better. Check it out you will not be disippointed.
No Passport Needed. Driving down Camp Bowie West I made a U-turn and drove back to Cancun Mexican. I'm sure you have seen the restaurant in its Miami Vice pink and turquoise colors. I'm sure you've wondered (like me) could the place be worth stopping in for? A place calling itself Cancun Mexico brings to mind a lush foreign paradise with palm trees and sunny beaches. It certainly would be cheaper than flying to Cancun, so I decided to give it a try. I waited at the door for a couple of minutes or so to be seated. They were quite busy this Wednesday afternoon with the lunch crowd. I was given a back booth and a menu. There was a little water spattered on my table and the person who sat me apologized and came back to wipe the table down. They took my drink order (iced tea) and gave me a few minutes to decide what I wanted. In the meantime my server took care of a few other tables and later brought me chips and salsa and took my order. The chips were delectable, although a little darker brown than most. The salsa was good too. It wasn't real spicy but was close enough that I really could not say that it was bland. For those who like a salsa with a big tomato punch, then this is for you. It wasn't very long that my lunch entree of chicken milenesa arrived. This is chicken-fried chicken without the gravy. The breast was pounded thin, breaded with a coarse breadcrumbs, seasoned and fried. It was a perfect lunch-sized portion and was very good. The rice was fluffy, much better than I could do. The beans were smooth and creamy and very good. The salad should have been unremarkable but it was fresh other than for an errant purple onion that was one of the hottest onions I have ever encountered. I put the other onion slice aside. Other than that one misstep, I was totally pleased with my plate. This also came with grilled tortillas, in my case flour (although corn was offered as well). The iced-tea seemed a little harsh at first, but was better after subsequent refillings.
I was pleased with everyone I encountered in the restaurant. Everyone was very professional and very friendly. While the restaurant was clean in almost every aspect, there were a couple of tables that the carpets were desperately in need of a sweeping or even a vacuuming. It looked like there may have been a couple of families with kids that got carried away with the tortilla chips because there were dozens of small pieces under those tables.
I definitely liked the food at Cancun Mexican and am looking forward to returning for some more of their fine cuisine. Another great thing--I don't even need to pack or bring a passport.
Always excellent service and tasty food, a hidden gem to eat at Has become a favorite!!
I have lived in Ft Worth all my life and I love Mexican food, esp fajitas.. Tonight was the first night I tries cancuns and it was AMAZING! I can't believe I have been missing out all this time! The fajitas were beyond perfect. And I tried a bite of the enchiladas and it was the best enchilada I ever had. Personal opinion but I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a Mexican food fan :). Good margaritas and queso too
This place is great !! I always get the tamales !! Never EVER had bad service or food for that matter the people are so sweet and its family owned
Love this Place. I cannot believe it took me so long to try this place. Now that I have it's a weekly visit. I love the enchiladas, chili rellano, and the fried whole catfish what can I say but the best I have had in years! Just tried the charro beans,Great Flavor! Great Food, Great Service and reasonable prices, is definitely one of my favorites!!!!
Love This Place. I have been eating here for over 6 years and they have recently remodeled the place. It looks great, but the best thing is that the delicious food is still just as delicious. My favorite is the chicken enchiladas, but I've never had anything here that wasn't great. Great service, wonderful food and reasonable prices....what's not to like!
Can't go wrong!. The new Cancun restaurant is definitely a breath of fresh air. An insane amount of improvements were made here, not only with the atmosphere that was completely revamped, but the food is better, too!
The Ceviche is great!! It's tender, juicy, and so full of flavor as it falls apart in your mouth. I fell in love with it on the first bite. The Seven Seas soup is my favorite soup, but I do wish they would clean the mussels more carefully, there are shell shards in the mussel meat and are not pleasant to crunch down on, and they need to TAKE THE TAILS OFF OF THEIR SHRIMP so pieces of shrimp skin do not fall away from the tail and get mixed into the soup.
my favorite is any of the combination platters, they are huge, and full of variety.
AMAZING!!! This place has coompletely remodeled and its surprisingly beautiful. Frozen Margaritas are great. The have many flavors availabe. Chips salsa great. Flower tortillas great. Its now one of my fav mex restaraunts in FTW. Last time I was there was 4 years ago. It was just ok then. I went last nite. BAM..Completely different restaurant. It was packed with people and rightly so. I HIGHLY recommend.
Absolutely a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy here. Just good Mexican seafood dishes. Reccomend the large shrimp cocktail and shrimp enchiladas.
Value. You can't beat the beef fajita nachos, margaritas and hole-in-the-wall atmosphere for the price.
The chips and salsa are AMAZING!!! Service was decent. Food was really really good surprisingly enough considering it was really cheap!
First time coming here, was recommended by a friend. Great food and friendly staff, the amount of food received for the price was acceptable. Bathrooms look like they could use some upgrades but other than that good place to visit.
Oh my goodness! This place was delicious! The portions were HUGE! The staff was super sweet. We loved it all! They are short staffed, so the wait to be treated and to get our check after the meal was a little long, but nothing crazy. Just have a little patience. It's totally worth it!
2 years later, still so good. Hubby had enchiladas. I had fish tacos. Both were delicious. Still great portions. Still seemed a bit understaffed.
Great service, very nice staff and overall a great experience. Thank you for making sure I never ran out of tea and making sure I had some to take with me! The flautas were delicious!
Food is fantastic Thank's Y'all and we did a pickup
Came here because a friend said their margaritas were on a “best of Fort Worth” list. Came on a Saturday around 1pm. It was a nice day but really windy so we sat inside. The restaurant was about half full. Service was good. My friend got the house margarita on the rocks and I got the beer-Rita. We both enjoyed them. Food was delicious! Came out hot and relatively quickly. Will definitely recommend & be back again.
Highly recommend. Friendly staff. Delicious food!
Always good, consistent Tex-Mex. Service is always great, reasonably priced with a cozy environment. We eat here regularly.
No matter how many times I come here it is always wonderful. Their customer service is extremely excellent. They do not discriminate at all. Everyone is so nice and never messed up my order. The atmosphere in this place is so calm and relaxing while still playing nice little upbeat music. The food is always good hands down
Great food. First time eating here and it was good. The waitress was young and full of life which was great. Keep up the good work!!
I like the flavor of the beef fajitas and the service is very good. I'm grateful I stopped by on my way home from the gym. A very nice first time to eat here at cancun Mexican restaurant.
I had the fajita chicken street tacos. They were served on corn tortillas and topped with fresh diced onion, cilantro, lime, and a green chili sauce. The plate came with 5. I ate three and took two home and put them in the fridge. The next day, I heated them in a toaster oven. I think the toasty-ness is what they needed because they tasted even better. I topped them off with pace picante sauce and wished I had 5 more.
Very delicious, a good place for lunch! I got the chicken enchiladas and it came out hot and fresh ^.^ they seated us super quick too! All in all a good time!
This restaurant is by far a enjoyable experience on all levels!! Want to go a level higher.. try sitting outside when weather permits.. have a cocktail to refresh and the seafood cocktail to devour.. it’s fantastically delicious!!
Restaurant was super clean, we were greeted right away and the server was super friendly. I got the camarones a la diabla and my husband got the Chile rellenos with fajitas, everything was delicious!!!
My husband is a picky man when it comes to Mexican food, he always says "why over pay when we can make it at home?" This time it was different, no complaints and he even mentioned he would be willing to stop by again. Next time, we'll bring the kids as they had a nice family atmosphere and maybe sit on the outside patio and enjoy a margarita or michelada.
Great food, and good prices. We love their Cheese Enchiladas and their Beef Street Tacos. Great Queso too.!
We ate at Cancun Mexican Restaurant for the first time last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything from the chips and thick, rich and spicy salsa to the Mexican Coca-Cola to the tortillas and every food dish that we had was wonderful. Our waitress did a great job and we will definitely return for more of their wonderful food!
