This is a fine little Cafe that offers traditional burgers and sandwiches. I got a regular cheeseburger combo for 12 bucks and it was pretty good.
The place is small and the decor is dated but there is nothing wrong with that. If I lived in the neighborhood I would definitely be back.
This is a nice little cafe! I needed a quick breakfast this morning and came in and got bacon, eggs, and hash browns. It was really good! They have Gold Peak iced tea in bottles, which is really good. The owners are a very nice couple. I loved the pictures of the famous George’s on the wall. I’ve not been in for lunch, but the menu looks great. Highly recommended!
Came in for a quick lunch. They are now open until 3pm. Had a simple double burger and fries. Patty is hand pressed , not a frozen one from a bag. Shoestring Fries were crispy and good. They do breakfast and lunch. My meal was worth giving breakfast a try.

Food was great, a little to quit but relaxing to say the least. I would definitely eat here agean owner is nice an the cook is great this place is a must try!!!
I always go here for breakfast and lunch! I always receive warm welcomes whenever i stop in! I have a soft spot for Mom and Pop restaurants. This one is definitely one of my favorites in the DFW area. Especially the breakfast! You can tell the food is made with love.
The place have a good food, if you order online 30 minutes before you can go and pick up so fast after you can eat and enjoy your food on the place. #DoubleChessBurger
Really nice little place, we came to eat as there was nothing around the area and we got burgers, really good homemade burgers!!
Great Food and Service. Would've given 5-Stars but it was too hot n dinning room on a summer day
The food is very good and the owner / employees are very nice. It's not a fancy place but that's what I like. But it's clean and quiet.
A quiant counter service establishment and the food was incredible. I had a bacon double cheese burger and fries. The burger was hot and fresh, hand pressed beef, the bacon wasn't pre-cooked frozen bacon it was fat juicy bacon, and the fixins' were fresh. The fries were fresh shoestring style fries, which in my opinion are the better fry. I work merely seconds from here and always wanted to stop in. Glad i did today. Will definitely be back.
Current status - slightly high prices but wonderful food! Worth giving a try, hopefully soon to be back to "neighborhood's best place to eat."
This is an edited review: I left my original below (2 stars) so you can see my complaints from two weeks ago, and how the new owners are addressing them.
First of all, I went in today to give them another chance. They are consolidating the formerly HUGE menu down to something that doesn't require the massive stock (and waste!) to get prices under control. I spoke to the owner about the pricing - there was one item in my normal meal that has gone up a LOT, which is why I saw the 55% increase - a 140% increase in the cost of something will do that! Most increases going by the menu are much more in line with our "normal" (face_palm) current inflation rate, which you can't fault them for. There are a lot of improvements and changes underway, and the transition period is obviously rough, but they're working on it and actually care about the customers.
The cook in there today (and hopefully forever!) did a WONDERFUL job on the Mexican Omelette I ordered. So the (temporary) drop in food quality wasn't cost cutting on supplies, but a training or staffing issue. They also had a new cashier, and while obviously not completely familiar with everything YET, seemed sharp and did her best to be helpful.
Overall, four stars at the moment, but working hard to get to five. Go give them a chance! I'm glad I gave them another try myself, and I'll be going back regularly.

I've been eating here 3 or 4 times a week since about 2013, through two previous owners. The newest owners have DRASTICALLY increased prices - my normal $7.99 lunch is now $12.38 before drink, tax, etc.! That's a 55% increase! I realize inflation is bad, but that's ridiculous. I can no longer afford to eat here!
Food quality has also gone downhill. Some items are fine, almost as good as before, but other items you have to wonder if the cook even knows what it's SUPPOSED to look like/contain or how it should be fixed. DON'T order the Texas Tuna Melt. It doesn't even resemble one.
But they have a nice pretty new electronic menu and fancy cash register...
My daughter got a Sandwich and I got a traditional breakfast. The food was amazing.
I love the amazing quality of their food! Low prices and amazing taste! I have to eat low sodium stuff and I love that their fries don't have an ungodly amount of salt!
the food was respectfully bussin. everything was delicious, but the salsa tasted like i was about to get drunk. you will be seeing me here again tho!
We had breakfast and the food is really good. The Restaurant is clean and the new owner is very nice.
Absolutely amazing breakfast. The French toast plater was incredible. And the Grilled Chicken w/ bacon sandwich were delicious! I do recommend to try their food!
Great local cafe. Enjoyed their breakfast. Mine was a little bit greasy but it was good. We all loved the food. We will definitely be back to eat this awesome home cooked food. There was a sign on the drink machine that said second refill .99¢ that was a first for me but I understand I guess. But other than that the prices are good and the food was fresh and delicious. If you are in Haltom City stop by and have some great home cooked food I had the meat lovers omelet.
