Yes good food.but u pay for latter.
Good times. Love the sopapillas!!! raise the flag
Yummy. I have been eating at Pancho's for over 50 years. Yes, their recipes have changed over the years. Yes, there are some items I don't order anymore. The thing is their chile rellenos can't be beat by ANY mexican restaurant I've been to in Fort Worth. I love their rice and beans, green stew and red stew, and their enchiladas (every one of them.) I haven't eaten there in a while, so I will go there tonite!!!
This is food.. Don't waste your time, just get the chicken tacos. service was incredible, too by the way.
Either people like it, or they don't.. Pancho's is one of those quirky places that either people really like the food, or they hate it. For the price, it can't be beat. Granted, I have some nostalgia with Pancho's because we used to eat there when I was growing up. If I'm thinking of a fine-dining experience, it would not be at Pancho's. If I'm thinking health food. . .it would not be at Pancho's. If I'm seeing the first cold front roll through here, and I want something a little greasy (in a good way), carb-packed, that's gonna stick to my ribs and warm me up. . .I'm thinking Pancho's. If I want to take my children for Mexican food that I know they'll eat, and we can all enjoy the variety and fun atmosphere. . .Pancho's indeed.
The childhood memories of Panchos were great, the present day Panchos is still good. We always say it's the last time we go... The service was great! The chicken tacos are the best flavor so juicy. The place overall looked & was very clean. The bathrooms were interesting. The sopapillas were golden crispy and amazing. Will we go again? Probably will in a year! May God continue to give them favor.
We drove 600+ miles to try this restaurant. I walked in and it smelled amazing. The rice and tacos are really good. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The decor really is an mid 90s-70s take on the old world charm of a quaint Mexican market. Would make the drive again. ⭐
I like this place every thing was was fresh when we hit the door. It took me back in time to being a teenager. The taste-good smells that were brought about.
The colorful combination of foods.
My favorite thing to come here and get are the chili rellenos smothered in nacho cheese sauce and topped off with pico de gallo. Accompanied by guacamole.
The sopapillas accompanied with honey and butter! Yum!
There was a pretty large selection of hot food!
Everything thing tasted great and seemed fresh. The flautas were absolutely amazing. They also bring a basket of chips to the table.
The sopapillas are made fresh to order. Service at the table was quick, even though they were busy. Staff were so friendly!
Small dessert area with a few baked goods, and ice cream was available.
The salsa station had a small but good selection.
This place was also really affordable at $16 per person.
Definitely worth checking out.
Love Panchos. So bummed most were closed down. People saying it’s bland and not e only lol it for nostalgia lol. What do you think Menudo is or hamburger helper for us white folk ??? It’s comfort food. An acquired taste. Not that it’s really good. Panchos is good though. No it’s not fancy dining or even the best Mexican food but it is good.
Food was decent.
Service sucked.
Our waitress was at the soapapilla station reading text messages. I tipped her $5 ahead of time expecting better service.
The atmosphere? The plants are dead or dying. The layers of grease on the lights in the guys bathroom was insane. At our booth was a dying plant but right next to it was something white, like a mushroom, and that thing must love grease because it was thriving.
Overall, I won't go back. Too many negatives to outweigh the positive.
Good old Panchos, a Fort Worth tradition. A nice atmosphere reminiscent of Old Mexico. Food is average but certain dishes are always nice, like the rellenos. In my 20+ years coming here I've never had bad service either. Some people complain about the price but this isn't 1990 any more, EVERYWHERE is expensive and Panchos isn't really that much by comparison.
Horrible. Everything fried was both greasy, and too burnt to eat at the same time. Rice was hard. Chips were stale. "Salsa" was just canned diced tomatoes in their juice. Server was inattentive.
BUT! That's what we go to Pancho's for! Nostalgia! It was exactly what I wanted 🤷🏼♂️
Whatever they did keep doing. Food and service improved greatly since lasr time
Not many Pancho's around anymore but just raise the flag and the memories come flowing back just like their sopaipillas and honey
