Although the season has dropped the tourists, I always try to go into the pub when I'm in Frankfort in the Fall. It's peaceful, quiet. The food is a bit pricey, but very good for pub menu. Staff is fun and hometown people. Sports were playing on the big screen! Nice place!

Good food. Good atmosphere. Our server, Susanne, was super friendly and efficient! Highly recommend if you are in Frankfort. (Did not use any facilities there. However, big step when you come in front door. Might be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair)

We had the BEST time at Villa Marine this weekend! Sue and her staff were extremely accomodating as we had over 100 people singing karaoke the night before our wedding. I've never seen servers work so hard in my life, and they were patient and easygoing the whole time! We so appreciate them and hope that you will check out this gem of a dive bar in an amazing location. Great food and drinks! Check out the back patio if you want a view of the marina.

We just stopped for a few beverages but Jeff or Joe behind the bar was very good. Not tried karaoke yet on Friday and Saturday. Relaxing deck out back :)

Stopped in for lunch. Kinda dark inside, had a "dive bar" kind of feel at first. But the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Food was tasty, came out quickly, and prices were reasonable as well.

We had wings and pizza. Arrived in good time and server was good. The restaurant has a great waterfront view and plenty of seating. Two negatives...price is high. You can get pizza at the brewery for less, as well as other menu items. There was a lot of foul language loud enough to be heard in the dining area coming out of the kitchen. Kinda puts a damper on date night.

We were on a day trip along the Northern Lake Michigan coast to visit some of our favorite little summer towns during the winter. It's almost as beautiful in the winter and still holds it's charm. Even though it was a Saturday, the quaint shops and attractions are generally closed during the winter months. Which leaves sightseeing, drives through the wooded countryside with wildlife popping up here and there and the beautiful beach to explore and admire. Lake Michigan has a way of beckoning you to it and we found ourselves a way down to the beach for a long walk on the cold, windy, beautiful beach! Before heading back home, we needed to "re-fuel" and chose Frankfort, MI as our place to stop. We decided to find Main Street which is where almost ALL the restaurants and stores are located in this quaint little beach town. We found this nice pub/restaurant to try. To my delight, way through to the "back"the of the restaurant which faces towards the water and Marina, there were a few tables with large windows. These tables where next to the door which led to the outdoor seating area. It would be a beautiful and romantic spot to eat in the summer during, which provided cover from the hot sun in the day. At night, they had "market lights" which would dimly light the eating area overlooking the Marina and you could hear the waves of the beach nearby! The restaurant prices are reasonable, I realize that term is relative and different for everyone, but they were "middle of the road pricing". We chose Mexican meals that were perfectly seasoned, made with fresh ingredients (always impressive during the winter months) and the portions were so large we easily had two meals a piece out of our selection. The menu is VERY LARGE and the variety of choices was impressive. The bar beer, liquor and wine selections were a bit pricey. Especially the wine!!!! I just wanted a glass of Riesling, bottled from Traverse City, MI and it was $12+ a glass! You can go to Meijer grocery store and pick up a bottle of that wine for about the same price! (So I would say that their menu was what earned my higher rating.) Since there are only a few restaurants in Frankfort, MI, I suppose they take advantage of demand and availability! (The closest Meijer's store was about 50 miles away! 😀) They have quite a few tables there, a modern "juke box", and 1 pool table. I would say their best feature is variety and quantity of the food! One biggest surprises that I have to say I have NEVER SEEN on a menu was that you could bring your newly caught, fresh fish caught that day and they would cook it to your liking!!! It made me smile because it goes along with the entire charm of the Northern MI small beach towns!!! Overall, I recommend this pub/ restaurant for the kind wait staff, generous and tasty meal choices and the variety of food and drinks they offer. Enjoy!!

Returned again, shared the Nachos this time, still good, good service. Sat on the deck this time, highly recommended, great view of the marina and lake. My family and I returned after several months and we we're not disappointed. I went for the Nachos by myself, mistake, way to good and incredibly large platter. This one is a share dish. My son tried the tugboat pizza again fantastic. My wife tried one of the chicken sandwiches and was pleased. We'll be back! Stopped in for a drink, then an appetizer, then dinner. Nice bar, with good choices of craft beer as well as the "standards". The well drink stock runs from good to top of the line. The fried mushrooms were very good. Dinner was Nachos, again very good as well as large portion. My wife and I shared the Nachos, we were both stuffed. We will return!

I've eaten at every place in Frankfort and Villa Marine Bar. Hands downs have the best food, service, and price in the area.

Remember this is a tourist town in the summer! Great time! But more of a local hangout, if that works for you, then you will love it! If not, seek other options!

This was the best wet burrito I have had! It was so huge. I think it still weighed a few pounds after I ate half! The waitress was very sweet and attentive.
