This place was great. My wife and I have walked past a few times and always talked about wanting to check it out. We went Saturday night around 9pm. When we walked in for dinner and drinks we were greeted with smiles and a very welcoming doorman that made us feel happy to be there. We headed into the dining area and despite the place being very busy found a great seat. Our waitress was definitely busy but really took care of us. Our food and drinks were fast and good. Overall this was a great first experience. While I can't speak for large groups, this was a great date night destination. The DJ really got the room moving and the dance floor was packed. To our delight and dismay, the night flew by (for all the right reasons) and before we knew it 1am was rolling around.
I got the crabcake dinner… Awesome best crabcake this side of the bay bridge. And I know my crab. Server was friendly busy but still took care of us. I will definitely stop by there again. It was my first time there, might stop in for happy hour sometime in the future. Definitely will refer my friends to this place.

Our dynamic server Eric is amazing!!!! The GM and Chef Brandon's food is fantastic!!! And Richard the owner is such a dedicated soul that we can't wait to go back!!!
If you have not been here, then you are really missing out on amazing food, drinks and great service. Restaurant week is on and this is a must visit restaurant.

Very cool place to go for entertainment and amazing ambiance! I'll be back every Tuesday night for Open Mic night. There were some great musicians sharing their talents!
Our waiter was awesome, atmosphere was great and the chocolate martini is delicious!
I have to say , I was a little worried about how my mom's 50th birthday was going to go . Being that I've never been to the cellar door and it seemed like everything wasn't on my side from the beginning. Boy was I wrong ! You guys did a phenomenal job with my mothers party. The waitress , whom i absolutely love , did such a great job with tending to everybody . Such a sweetheart! The food was amazing , and everybody had a great time . Will definitely recommend you guys to everybody! Thanks again for everything :)
I was shocked when I received my check and it was half of what i thought it would be. Great atmosphere, good DJ, and if you stay out on that dance floor long enough, she's going home witya!!!

We recently held a wedding rehearsal dinnner at the Cellar Door, and everything was just wonderful. We couldn't be happier! Even Maryland natives raved about the crab balls. The appetizers looked beautiful and were right in place when we arrived. The drinks and other courses arrived smoothly and were just delicious. All our guests really enjoyed themselves. Kudos to the Cellar Door for giving us such a memorable occasion.
I have been coming here at night for the club like atmosphere for years. Never woukd u have imagined that this place would have such great food!!! Absolutely fantastic. They have always had great service even when busy on a Saturday night. They are well staffed and know how to keep the bar flowing.. Food here is excellent and they have real ingredients.. Do not miss out on the French onion soup. I believe it is the best in Frederick!!!! Come try it and let me know what you think!!!
This picture is one seafood empanada and the loaded bayside fries. Food was great. We also ordered wings and a salad not pictured which were good. We went for the Sunday evening comedy special and will be returning. If you are a Frederick native this is definitely a place you should be adding to frequently visited list.
Cellar Door is amazing! My friend and I usually come here for the night entertainment, but decided to give dinner a try here the other night. Hands down amazing food. We weren't expecting it to be so good. Best nachos of my life, and the staff is very kind and helpful!
I liked it...kinda unique setting in the "cellar" and the food for lunch wad decent. Place was fairly empty on a Saturday at 2pm...I'll have to come back one night and catch a comedy act
Great spot for date nights. We attended the open mic for new comedians and enjoyed every part of our experience. The customer service was great, even better was the food & drinks! We will be back!

We stopped in Frederick for dinner on our way home from Baltimore. I found the Cellar Door searching Google maps, we've been to Frederick several times and wanted to try a new place, it had good ratings/reviws and decided to give it a shot.
It was a rainy Tuesday, downtown was very quiet as was the restaurant, a quiet restaurant always makes us a little hesitant. But, The Cellar Door did not disappoint, loved the atmosphere, the menu had a good amount of options to choose from.
We started with loaded nachos as an appetizer, the portion size was spot on for 2 or 3 people.
I had the Brisket Zane and my wife had the French Dip, both were nothing short of excellent. My brisket was full of flavor, melt in your mouth tender. My wife's French Dip was even better. Again the meat was extremely tender, the bread/hoagie roll was awesome. The Au Jus was full of flavor as well. Last but not least, we both had fries with our dinner, they too were extremely good. I didn't ask, but guessing they were fresh cut and cooked to perfection.
I highly recommend! Can't wait to return.
