Fun cookie, cupcake, and doughnut designs every week that are also delicious. Custom order cakes are phenomenal, especially in taste. They also sell jellies and meats, which are both very good.
We tried out a lot of bakeries when searching for our wedding cake, and Ed's was by far the best. As soon as we tasted his cake, we knew it was the one. Ed and Beth were wonderful to work with, and he delivered exactly the cake we asked for. We took a huge piece with us on our honeymoon to make sure we got our fill!
Beth was very responsive over email, and even helped me arrange a donut surprise for my husband the morning of the wedding. Ed was truly a pleasure to work with, and gave us a lot of good information on cake sizes and techniques for achieving the look we wanted.
We are very partial to the peanut butter icing, and chocolate cake, but you can’t go wrong with anything Ed and Beth sell from the cupcakes to the cookies to the donuts to the meats. It is all absolutely perfect. We will be happily making the drive from Columbia for more of their goodies!
Ed created my wedding cake and I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with him and how delicious the cake was. Ed was recommended to us after we had tried multiple more well known bakeries and didn't find one we liked. Ed's cakes blew us away with how moist and delicious they were. As soon as we sat down to taste we knew that he was the one we wanted to make our wedding cake. Every flavor was fantastic but we went with strawberry and I still have day dreams about it. Everyone complimented us on the cake and asked us where we got it from. Now whenever I have an event that needs a cake I go to him (even though he is 45 minutes away-it is well worth the drive). Everything is well priced as well. Delicious!
Donuts are amazing. Located in beautiful farm country. We've never tried the cakes or other bakery goods but they look amazing. Get there early if you want to choose from his full selection of donuts
Wonderful local bakery. Very friendly. Best whoopie pies I’ve ever had - the filling tastes like butter and cream, not oil. Cute cookies. Delicious cupcakes. Worth waiting until Saturday to get goodies. Highly recommended!
The best little ma and pa run bakery in Frederick!! Ed and Beth are the most talented and nicest bakers I've met. You're always greeted with a smile when you walk in their bakery. The selection is great and I've yet to find anything I didn't like. My favorites are cheese danish, blueberry muffins & oreo donuts.
Received cookies via Fed Ex.... and they were fantastic! It’s the kinda of cookie you feel a little bad about eating because you know how much work it took to decorate. Like eating artwork! (Notice I said only a “little” bad....). How do they put a blush in Princess Leia’s cheeks? Amazing.
Sometimes when you ship cookies they end up tasting or smelling a little bit like cardboard. These did not. Each cookie was individually wrapped and sealed. They were soft and fresh. Smelled and tasted great! Everything that comes out of Eds Country Bakery far superior to anybody else. Way to go Ed and Beth!!!
