Old fashion diner booths and counter built in 1955 and still there in 1955. Good food reasonable prices, good value. Over the top friendly personable service. For a long time we avoided the place because of an old greasy spoon look but one day all the regular brunch places were full or closed. We Went here on a hungry lark. This is now a "go to" regular place.
This is our favorite breakfast spot. The staff is wonderful and treats us like family every time we go. Food is delicious and they are very accommodating about special requests. We have never had a bad meal there!
Great down top earth spot. Very homie. Huge pancakes, delicious breakfast! Sweet waitresses. Highly recommend!
best diner in the burg. breakfast, lunch or dinner I'm never disappointed. friendly staff, home town favorite. must try Greek steak and cheese!
I've been coming to this diner once every other week for the last 2 months. That is the best food I've ever had at a diner around here. I love the steak and cheese sandwich they have there.
I don't think I've given a review before now but should have! I found out, from a Greek Festival that I attended every year, that 2400 Diner was the caterer of all the delicious Greek dishes. One dish I couldn't get enough of (still can't lol!) is Maria's homemade pastitsio!!!! I have placed I don't know how many orders for it (just picked up the latest small pan order [she makes a bigger pan too] yesterday 4-20-18 for my son and I). Tonight, it's gone and I'm drooling for more lol! I haven't come in for a sit-down meal but after reading some of the other reviews and looking at the picture posts, I'm gonna have to! Thanks so so so much, Maria! I'll be ordering more pans...MANY more!
After we were ignored at Amy"s Cafe and never getting seated we decided to come to 2400 diner. It's been since my childhood the last time I ate here. So my daughter and I came in were acknowledged right away. Order taken right away. We both ordered a cheeseburger . My daughter had fries and I had potato salad. OMG! It was still so hot when we got it which made it soooo good! My daughter said it was the best cheeseburger she ever had! I have to agree! All the waitresses were very sweet. This place was full and still got great service! Thanks 2400 Diner!!!
The food here is great (especially the burgers). The atmosphere of the place is also great, a nice old fashioned diner. The staff is very welcoming and the service is very quick. No complaints.
The breakfast here was amazing, best home fries we've ever had, and the corned beef hash was fantastic!
Special was spinach, cheese and sausage omelet, which was very good. Service was quick. We split the omelet and it was plenty.
Pro: Amazing vintage atmosphere, great food, flawless and cheerful service. Family owned for decades, with "regulars" coming for just as long. Large portions on the cheap.
Con: It's popular, and not large, so you may have to wait for a table oftener than you'd like. The modern LED lighting is not quite bright enough after sunset. Needs a jukebox, though I don't know where they'd put it.
Bottom Line:. If you're local, becoming a regular is worth it. If you're passing through, you'll regret not dining here. Either way, you're welcome.

Love going to this place. Good service, very friendly cook, and great food. The prices are also good. Im not giving 5 stars because they don't have turkey sausage or turkey bacon options, which seems very behind the times. Lots of people don't eat pork because of health or religious reasons. Most places have turkey options. I rarely get breakfast here because breakfast is best with a breakfast meat, which I can't eat here. They have great sandwiches, and good onion rings.
The ONLY thing bad about this place can be trying to get a seat. It's popular. The food is excellent, and the service is great. If I have family or a friend in town, I'll bring them here. Guaranteed to get a great meal with good service at a good price. Nothing prepackaged about this place. This joint is truly is one of the gems of Fredericksburg.
Great local diner with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food was very good and an excellent price, though maybe a bit underseasoned.
One of the best kept secrets of the state. Simple food made amazingly well. Hands down the best Western omelet I have ever had. Not expensive but they could charge more.
