Castiglias delivers consistently great food. They are almost always busy and the service can sometimes vary, but they’ve been an iconic Fredericksburg restaurant for over 20 years. My kids grew up eating spaghetti here. They have continually reinvented their look and feel and expanded to include a wood fire oven, a popular bar, and a rooftop restaurant. They have great apps, drinks, sandwiches, pizzas, calzones, and Italian favorites. The atmosphere is casual, kid friendly, and can be noisy and busy at times. You can eat here on the cheap or go fancy. We stopped by today, Mother’s Day, for a quick lunch of a few apps and some carry out. Friendly bartenders helped us have a great time.

Come here often. Always forget to review but today, I decided to get the Fig & Prosciutto pizza…. So so glad I did. It’s absolutely amazing. Sweet & Savory. They never disappoint in most things they do. Give ‘em try.

I visited this restaurant recently. I do not live in Virginia, my sister and I were visiting my brother, we are from Iowa. Walking by, I saw a man sitting outside on his phone, obviously FaceTimeing his family. He was so happy & laughing.❤️ I heard his language and immediately knew he was Italian. 💕 We entered this restaurant and I no idea it was where he worked. I figured he must be kitchen staff as he was dressed very informal and very casual. Come to find out , he and his brother moved from Naples at a very young age and created this phenomenal business. I saw this man behind the counter and I said You’re Italian! His answer was “welcome to my family” ❤️❤️ Let’s be clear here - the service was over the top the food was fabulous. If I lived there - I’d be there Every Single Day! That’s enough info to intrigue you to stop in and experience this wonderful piece of heaven ❤️

We've been to Castiglia's maybe a half dozen times including last week. Generally, we go when the weather is nice and we can eat on the roof. Food is always good and sometimes excellent. Loaded nachos last week were among the best we have had. Shrimp tacos were also very good. Beer selection is a little weak. Service has been generally good. Ratings on Google are skewed high, so four stars would not be enough, but there's no 4.5 star selection. Posted photos of the two meals I mentioned. If this helps you, give me a helpful thumbs up. Thanks.

Castiglia's rooftop dining experience is one on my favorite in Fredericksburg. Service is always good even when they are very busy. Food is fresh and tastes great!

The only restaurant in Fredericksburg that would seat us outside for dinner. Our new server was enthusiastic, patient, and attentive with a sense of humor (5⭐s for her). It's a good thing we planned for the lack of outdoor heaters, with fleece blankets to sit on and cover legs, making the 50-something temp bearable. We shared a Greek salad and a delicious burrata & prosciutto pizza and some cocktails. I'd go back to taste more of the wood-fired oven pizzas, there were so many that sounded yummy. Coming from Colorado, accustomed to restaurants catering to people who want to sit outside no matter what, it was odd that this establishment has not invested in outdoor heaters. No masks indoors was also a shock (pandemic anyone?). By 630 or so, they were busy (indoors), and could expand their available dining area to the patios, an alternative to gathering indoors catching/spreading.
