Pita Hot is a casual family restaurant in Fullerton, California, serving up delicious Israeli cuisine cooked fresh to order by the owner himself. The beef kebab plate is a must-try, with a generous portion of rice and your pick of two sides. I highly recommend the hummus, baba ganoush, and Mediterranean salad. The wrap sandwiches are also excellent, especially the chicken one. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
Sorry, I couldn't take the picture before I started eating. Really wonderful and very filling! Everything delicious! The Red Cabbage, the Hummus, the Falafel, I can't say which was better. All done on time! We will always come back and recommend.
Pita Hot is consistently excellent. I can always expect my food to taste the same every time, & the owners are awesome. It can get a bit hectic in there, but the two owners rum the entire kitchen with little help from open to close. They always make me feel welcome, & their hard work & dedication is admirable. It's great food, & even better people making it. That's something I can get behind 100% of the time. Don't sleep on Pita Hot.
Oh, & be sure to get extra garlic sauce. That stuff is like sweet nectar from heaven.
Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in the area! Thank you for serving us so well❤️
Such a hidden gem! If you like a middle eastern food, this is a place to be! Very tasty food, generous portions, and nice staff..It could be very busy on weekends..
Used to be extremely delicious, however the beef has gotten tough and not to thrilling. The rice, hummus the cucumber yogurt are still very good. They were nice enough to let us sit in the additional seating area.
The food is unbelievably good!
Likely vegetarian options (a vegetable plate with grilled vegetables over rice, or a falafel plate with falafel over rice). The vegetable plate also comes with falafel so that's our favorite..
You get two sides with each plate, but really we just get the band ganoush cause it's so good. Their hummus and tabouleh is good too, in case you want variety.
The service is a hit or miss at times, depending on whether the woman at the front desk is having a good day. But overall it's not a big deal.
Dine in closed for now. But they have ample outside seating.
Also note they don't use any delivery/ordering apps. They have their own website but it is incredibly buggy and charges a lot for delivery.

Excellent food. Really the best falafel and rice I’ve ever had.
We passed by Pita Hot a few times cause it’s next to our yoga class. Glad we decided to give it a try. They have limited vegetarian options — just falafel plate and vegan kabab plate. I highly recommend the vegan kabab plate which comes with eggplant, mushroom, tomatoes, bell peppers, etc made in the same way a kabab would be. You get to choose two sides — definitely try the baba Ganoush - which is simply amazing!
The only one thing I’ll say is that the lady who takes orders and serves in the front is either extremely overworked or just plain really really does not enjoy what she does. It like drains your energy just to talk with her for the two minutes when you’re ordering.
But if you can get past that (or order online on their website) then the food is absolutely worth it.
The food was amazing!
Only gave 3 stars for atmosphere because the usual was SOOO LOUD thart no only couldn't hear the lady taking our order then couldn't enjoy sitting down to have a conversation with companion.
Food was yummy though
Very good chicken shawarma plate! Cucumber yogurt & hummus. Last minute decision to stop in and I'm glad I did. They load the food on, I'ma big dude and couldn't finish. First time I've ever had falafel too, very tasty! Will be returning for sure.
If you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern food at reasonable prices this is THE place. A family-run business serving delicious food prepared fresh. They're kebabs and falafel plates are very good and my favorites. If you like lamb, their lamb kebab is the one to get, never overcooked and always perfect. As for sides the hummus and moutabal is as authentic and delicious as it gets. They get very busy so order ahead on their app. We eat there at least once a week.
This place consistently delivers authentic, fresh, healthy options at a great price pount. My Israeli friends love their set up, service and foods. My kids give it 2 thumbs up. The lamb chop plate ($10.99) is my fave.
George is so consistent with his food. I crave the kebab with garlic sauce. And his special savory rice is really good
My nephew graduated from Cal State Fullerton
The best thing from his graduation was when he introduced me to Pita Hot 🤣
Pita Hot become our family favorites
The quality is very consistent since the day I dine, which is 10 years ago!!
It’s owned and run by husband and wife
The husband cooks a perfection!
The steak kabob and lamb chops are always perfect
Chicken shawarma is delicious
Falafel is made to order. They are crispy on the outside and soft inside
We just can’t get enough of their cooking
I recommend this place to all of you!
Really good amount of food for what you pay for. Couldn't believe how good the shawarma was. My wife ordered the falafel with cucumber yogurt salad which was good to put on the shawarma. Large amount of seating. Popular with college crowd, food takes a bit of time to be ready but it is so worth it.
Best shawarma, fresh and delicious. Better than at some fancy expensive places. Kabobs little bit dry but still taste good. Big portions and affordable price. "Turkish salad" big question as I've been in Turkey many times differently not how it's supposed to be.
