We very much enjoyed our visit to Gemelli’s! The staff were helpful and polite, and the food was fresh and delicious! We tried a classic Italian sub and a recommended pizza. We enjoyed a cannoli for dessert. We can’t wait to go back again and try some more items on the menu!
Excellent and high quality food. Fair prices. Friendly staff. This is definitely a place you want to go if you are looking for a great Italian food.
Recommend for a variety of Italian goods. Stopped in to get some fresh pasta and stayed for a sandwich. Staff is helpful and ready to answer questions. If things are not on shelves, ask, there might be more in the back. The counter ordering is easy, there are some signs to guide. There are lots of different products offered. Take a look around and check it out. Had a porchetta sandwich on some fresh baked bread. Sandwich was good and made to order.
Gemelli's Italian Market is a true taste of Italy! From fresh produce to delectable prepared dishes, it's a haven for Italian food lovers. The quality, variety, and friendly staff make every visit a delightful experience!
Oh man. This place is amazing. The fresh pasta selection is awesome. And great. And the prepared frozen homemade foods are even better.
We did the spinach and cheese lasagna and it was amazing.
The pizza is great as well. Better than speciality pizzerias.
And add the cookies and chocolates available, this place is a must go.
Excellent selection and subways. I researched and drove 88 miles, one way. I was happy to see staples that I used in Italy. Sorry, but I love Italian food. Yes, to much pasta can make your stomach grow.
It's the quintessential Italian market. Their Italian subs are some of the best in the area. Great pizza doughs and sauces and pastas and cheeses and all things imported from Italy. I love when I have to be in that area and can stop by for various items and a sub. It's worth a trip
Authentic, delicious & fresh! Loved this market. My mom & I shared the Italian sub, meatballs, gelato & Tiramisu. I can't wait to go back with a small cooler to stock up on some delicious cheeses! Also want to try some of the wines. This was the best Tiramisu I've ever had! I also purchased the frozen chicken marsala to make for dinner at home. So good!
Sandwich game is top notch. My favorites are Sicilian and Chicken Parmesan. Get the rustic bread. Wine selection also great. The frozen ravioli and lasagna are solid. Literally not a single negative thing I can think of this place.
This pizza is fantastic. We just moved to the area and asked some friends for pizza recommendations. Unfortunately they didn’t tell us about this place so we tried a few other spots for pizza first and were not impressed. I stopped in one day just to see and my husband and I agree this is the best pizza around. It will be our go to spot from now on. We also got a few subs which were excellent and some freezer meals which we have yet to try. Also had two of the desserts and they were fantastic as well. Very friendly. Excellent food. Will recommend to all our friends and family.
Favorite pizza in MoCo thus far, and by a long shot. lots of great foods and cheese and fresh pasta to pick up in the market. Deli looks exceptional too.
Thought Gemelli’s was just a fantastic grocery store, and today’s visit made me realize it is also an incredible eatery. Had the hot Manzo sandwich on hard (rustic) bread. This was filled with roast beef, aus jus, provolone, and an assortment of acidic vegetables. The crunchy crust playfully yielded to a pillowy interior that absorbed most of the aus jus and broke far before forcing the sandwich’s filling out. I could eat just that sauce soaked bread! Meat was plentiful, tender, and had the appeal of home. Similarly, the provolone was shredded and piled on so that one could take a full mouthful and still have enough to eat with the corresponding section of meat. On top of these, the pickled-like vegetables provided an exquisite acidic contrast to the rich roast beef. Overall, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.
Also tasted the Diavolo pizza which was similarly great, but not as enjoyable as the sandwich. It had excellent sauce that may have lacked in viscosity but washed over the tongue like an ebbing wave of freshness that left behind an exciting burning sensation. The rest of the toppings were alright. Crust was nice and thin while being crisp - their new oven is working wonders!
Also tried their chocolate chip gelati. Again, pretty good but if I were going to get one thing it would be the hot Manzo sandwich.
Now for the grocery portion, Gemelli’s has a fantastic selection of imported and home-made authentic Italian options. A wide selection of meats and cheeses not available elsewhere and homemade pastas are the highlights. Absolutely worth a look.
Edit: Returned and tried the Polpette and Manzo again. Still prefer the Manzo! Also had the pepperoni pizza. Very simple with high quality ingredients that each hold their own. Puckering pepperoni filled with delicious tomato sauce and oil, freshly baked in their speciality oven. Excellent, and better than the Polpette.
really good local Italian market with tons of imported and freshly made foods and pastas. They have great pizzas and amazing sandwiches really nice local business to support.
Hard roll on the meatball sub and soft roll on the classic Italian for the win! This place is a menagerie of culinary delights. From the large selection of ready made stuffed pasta to the vast deli and grocery, this place rocks. They don't make em like this anymore.
I've been coming to Gemelli's since I was a kid. I've always loved their porchetta and sicilano sandwiches l. I also love buying hard to find Italian ingredients like guanciale. A hidden gem!
Best fresh hoagies you can buy on the run. It is so stuffed with the best deli meat available that it feels like there is more meat than bread. It is a delight!
Thee! Place to go for Pizza! Or just go and breathe! The aromas when you walk in the door will instantly lift your spirit's. The sandwich selection is amazing. Friendly helpful staff! I love this place. One word describes this place...go.
Since my first visit, this place has become a favorite spot for Italian meats, cheeses, pizza, and cookies. The aroma of Italian cooking fills the air as soon as you step inside. They have a freezer full of homemade ravioli, sauces, and ready to bake lasagna and parmagians. The La Dolce Vita pizza is a special treat. On my last visit, I discovered a selection of chocolate truffles with limoncello and their cakes. We got the triple chocolate mousse cake and the pignoli. The cake was lighter than air and the pignoli were perfect. The pine nuts were the large ones and the amaretti just fell apart (a good thing) when taking a bite.
