The service really made this a stand out place for me. The gentleman working the register was so kind and patient taking my order. The staff was welcoming and genuinely thanked every customer. They have plentiful seating if you chose to dine in, and you can see the ocean right across the road.
A small detail, but I appreciated the box they put their mozzarella sticks in. It has holes on the top to prevent condensation so your hot mozzarella sticks stay crispy! A great Galveston spot.

It’s not the first time but after more than a decade we visited here by our friends recommendation and invitation.
Our friend ordered for us as combined order of Xtra Large Margarita & Xtra Large half Shrimp & Spinach Alfredo and half Vegi Special. We enjoyed a lot for this change and our family enjoyed the most with Margarita Pizza.
Wonderful experience and thanks to our friend’s friend who was the main hero for this whole process who baked us the pizza’s and he specially taken care for our request to cut our pizzas with clean knife.

This place never disappoints! It’s been a few sence I’ve been here. Just as good then as now. Wide variety of food to choose from but they are known for the pizza. Huge individual slices. See pics fir size reference. They were making the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen..see pics. The staff was great . They guy at register was very knowledgeable and quick with the jokes. The food was fast and fresh. They offer lunch specials as well. They do serve beer and have big screen TVs . I’ll be back sooner than later!
We come to Galveston frequently for quick weekend trips and found Papa's one day by happenstance and ordered a couple of pizzas to go. One happened to be the meatball pizza and it was amazing so we decided to get it on our next trip, We've now been to Papa's 4 times. Twice we have picked it up and twice we have dined in. This last visit, we ordered a couple of Texas size slices to share. We got a pepperoni and a meat lovers slice. I have to say the Pepperoni was best. We also tried the toasted ravioli and they were so good! I forgot to take a picture of those but there were 10 in an order.
We will always be back!!
This place is a down home legit pizza joint. We were welcomed by an excited employee. We placed our order and w/in 10 to 12 minutes, we had fresh and hot pizza. The Caesar salad was very light and refreshing. The meat pizza was on point. The meatballs and sauce were out of this world good. The prices are very reasonable. The lady bussing the tables was very nice and polite. Next time I’m in Galveston, I will be coming back here. Keep up the good work papas pizza
My husband and I started coming here over 12 years ago and now take our kids here. We love the pizza. This last time the girl behind the counter taking orders wasn’t rude but had no emotion when talking to you and looked like she could have cared less about being there. Did not go in the restroom but the seating was area was clean minus a napkin a little kid dropped walking to his table. As expected pizza was good but $30 for a one topping large pizza and 3 sodas, all the drinks from the machine were flat, is ridiculous. Next time we will take the pizza to go and would not order drinks. Over all I would recommend their pizza and will continue to be a custom I just do not think we will dine in next time.
Hands down some of the best pizza I have ever had, the staff are so cool. It's a must go many generation owned family restaurant.. The sauce is so good it tastes authentic and not so sweet like chain restaurant pizza sauces.
The wet lemon pepper wings were amazing! The slices are huge and not expensive at all.
We had some yummy pizza at Papa’s after splashing in the ocean for awhile. We had a great view of the water and the pizza was delicious! We’re from Chicago and this was a great find in Galveston! The owner was so friendly and grateful. We highly recommend it!
Honestly, the best pizza you are going to try, nobody can compare to this pizza 🍕 the flavor is on another level 💯 definitely worth driving 5 hours 🤤 definitely going back !!!
Best pizza on the island! Stopped in for a late lunch and our pizza slices were made quickly and to order. Ordered 2 of the single slice specials, one cheese and one Meat Lovers giant slice, with thin crust. Both servings were more than enough for a lunch portion! Great service and great food - Will definitely eat here again!
Pizza and the shrimp alfredo are 😋 delicious. We always stop by when we are visiting Galveston. Plus it's the best right after you're done with the beach. The wings and fries are also a must have. It is a bit loud and always crowded when we come but we never miss coming here when we are in town.
Cheese bread marinara and ranch was fantastic, opted for the meat lovers big slice, mine was a little on the cold side but decent. Will try a fresh pizza next time.
We’ve come here every year we’ve visited Galveston and we love it! Some of the pizzas are a tish greasy for my liking (but I’m really picky when it comes to that). Ordering is easy, parking can be a challenge but overall we really like this pizza place! We always get 2 large pizzas so we have leftovers for lunch, it’s great!
Ordered the fried mushrooms, they let us swap the ranch out with blue cheese. New Yorker Calzone, PhillyCheese steak French fries and a large pan pizza for my kids. Price was exactly what it should be. The pizza was perfectly done. The mushrooms were large and fantastic. The calzone was amazing. Would recommend to anyone that wants a good tasting yet easy meal.
Ryan and the team were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to give us a phenomenal experience. The food was absolutely delicious. You could taste the freshness in all the ingredients. We had the meat lovers and the double pepperoni pizza's and they were both mouth watering. A definite must visit.
This place is AMAZING! Brian was a SUPER NICE dude. We got a ton of food because we wanted to try so many things and absolutely, everything was awesome! My wife told me about this place and it was my first time. Highly recommend the Big Papa's Supreme pizza on the thin crust and the Philly cheesesteak! Place is seriously clean, nice environment and Brian and the rest of the staff are very friendly! If you are visiting from out of town and want a great place to eat with great food, super clean, and a friendly staff, then definitely go here!!!! 5 star plus!
I had horrible service on my first order years ago, the manager personally delivered a fresh pizza to correct. It's almost always a madhouse when we go inside, but the staff is fun and the taste is unbeatable. We order the "Don" pizza regularly and have never been disappointed.
Papa's has the best pizza on the island.
Ordered delivery...was received within the quoted time frame. This is good, tasty pizza, with plenty of toppings, and arrived hot and perfectly cooked. Will definitely order from here again if in the area. Or we just might visit in person. We had the Hawaiian pizza.
