Barbarian is literally the best beer in Idaho. Maybe the best in the country. I’ve been there many times and I’ve always left happy. The owners are kind and knowledgeable, their employees are well trained, and their beer is delicious! They have a variety of beers so there is something for everyone. Their Belgian Style Tripel is the best beer I have ever had! They also do fun events periodically and they are pet friendly!

Just opened my first bottle of The Trickster Sour from my membership package. Amazing Barbarian! You make the best sours! I haven't found anything like them here in Washington. I recommend everyone stop by, especially sour lovers!

Off the wall sours with incredible thought, passion and creativity in every beer they make. Chill vibes and the friendliest staff. Big shout out to Brock the bartender! He is knowledgeable, patient, has great recommendations and never fails to be both charming and polite. Bring your friends, bring your family, it's an absolutely fantastic place all around.

Opposite review. The owners came into my place of work for a beer pairing event. Not only were they polite, well mannered, and engaged with the service staff, they were fun and just damn good people. Them being such amazing guests has definitely made a trip to the brewery a must for me! Thanks guys!

Nice little 5 barrel system that churns out some excellent sours. I had a flight of all sours and filled a growler. Dog friendly place too!

Great beers and great selection. We stopped off for "just a pint" and ended up calling friends who'd never been there before, had a taste flight, got a couple growlers filled and a bottle.of Big Bad Wolf. 4 hours later...

The most unique brews of any of the dozens of breweries I've ever visited. Also possibly the best brewery I've ever visited--absolutely loved several of their beers and didn't find a beer I disliked (sampled 6). Filled two growlers & wished I had at least one more. Lots of unique sours--including a delicious sour porter. I'm not big on hoppy beers, but even I loved their Beta Wolf sour IPA brewed with mangos.

Quite possibly the best sour beers in the US. Cry of the Blackbirds (no longer avaliable), Valkyrie, and Beta Wolf 2.0 are amazing.

Some of the best beer we have had in town. Found you guys at the Boise Brewfest and was happy to hear you had a store front as well. Looking forward to making this a regular stomping ground.

This might be my new favorite Idaho brewery! I got a sampler of six beers and every one was delicious! So many fun and unique flavors. I'm a big fan of sour beers and they have the best selection I've seen. Try the coconut sour, you won't be disappointed.

Straight outta the gate this place is killing it with very intensive styles and very true to style beers. James is an artist and if you do not give this place a chance you're only cheating yourself.

Great spot. Unique, barrel aged and wild sour ales. This one compares to Block15 and Great Notion. Bring your own food, and enjoy the beer. Nice outdoor patio, minors are allowed. After a 3 week road trip to Utah National Parks, having high quality delicious beer was a treat. I will be visiting Barbarian Brewing again as soon as possible. Thanks for the great beer and friendly atmosphere. See you soon hopefully.

Top notch beverages and service as usual. The tap list is smaller than their downtown location, but ambiance is better. There is also an outdoor seating area that's cute as heck in the summer. And, if no one has ever been here, it's a sort of Disneyland for beer lovers who are after unusual brews. These guys are pretty damn amazing

Love the new brewery space! Lots of room, dog and kid friendly + misters for the summer on the patio. As always, the beers are top notch, creative, and diverse. Do yourself a favor and absolutely make this a stop if you are from out of town and doing brewery tours. Kismet being onsite adds tasty food options that change seasonally which is a huge plus IMO. Great job everyone!!

The new location is awesome and the outdoor area is huge, perfect for gatherings large and small. The bartenders are all very attentive and friendly and are great at making selections, they know their beer!

If I could give 10+ stars, I would. AMAZING beer selection. My wife & son love sours and the sour selection did not disappoint! I enjoyed the variety of IPAs and darker beers very much as well. Great outdoor space and the entire beertender team was awesome! Highly recommend stopping by when in Boise.

Pretty decent beer, but they don't allow "minors" (our kid is 7 months old) after 4pm at the new location. Which is weird because we've had our kid at both of the other locations past 4pm. I get it if they don't want loud kids. Even still, it seems like a strange business practice. I don't know anyone that wouldn't show up if there were kids present, but I know many people that won't show up because they don't allow kids. We used to be fans, but now we will just hit Western Collective, Mother Earth, or Payette, all of which are kid friendly and have better vibes anyways. Maybe rethink the policy? No kids after 8pm would be more reasonable as most kids are in bed so they wouldn't be kicking post-work parents to the curb. Edit: Changed to 4 stars after the response from the owner. We're glad we get to take our daughter there now. We appreciate Barbarian's policy change after getting the new location up to speed!
