Good prices, great service, excellent food. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They want you to be satisfied. We had the tangerine chicken, and sweet/sour chicken lunch combos. We were very happy with them. They were so good!
Going to Ta Chen was one of the most genuine and welcoming restaurants I have ever been to. We ordered take out on Christmas Eve. When I got there my food wasn't ready, so the owner (David) gave me some soup, water, and a cookie while I waited. He talked to me about being in business for 37 years and how the community of Garden Grove was wonderful. Both the customers before and after me knew David. And by the way, the food was good! What a find.
The worst thing I could say about this place is that I have so many favorite dishes that choosing is impossible! The food is amazing and every time I try something new I have a new favorite. The owner is also very sweet.
They have reasonably priced great food and friendly service. We each had the szechwan dinner. It came with hot and sour soup, egg roll, fried shrimp, wrapped chicken, and rice. We tried the orange chicken on recommendation of a friend and the moo shu pork. I like how they put scrambled egg in the rice. Each entree was enough for two.

I came here on new years eve. It was opened for take out only. I've never met a nicer owner in my life. The food was great and it was great customer service. I will be coming back soon. Family owned place.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Dine in was closed but they let us in anyway. Food was the best authentic Chinese I have ever had. The service was beyond compare and by the end, we felt like family. They even gave us extra food. They gave us water bottles for the road because we were going for a love drive. The owners truly want the best for their customers. I will definitely come back.
My meal was tasty and the service was excellent. The gentleman who took my order and presented my meal was very kind, attentive and welcoming.
In a time where your quintessential Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen, Ta Chen certainly surprises. The food was delicious, and amazingly prepared. Nothing soggy, overcooked, or over/under seasoned. Simply put: It was perfect.
The service was top notch. When walking in to the building to pick up our food, I was greeted by a sincere and energetic woman. It was sad to see the restaurant empty, but that is only due to current COVID restrictions in the area. With ample food, soy sauce, and a bag of complimentary almond cookies in hand, she bid me farewell and a happy holiday.
It’s a bit out of my way, but I’ll definitely be back. That’s how good this place was.
Highly recommend, support small businesses! The customer service is amazing! Owners are so kind and go above and beyond, they noticed we were here from out of town and gave us extra food. Food is delicious and great price!

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten here because I’m in the Inland Empire now. But their lemon chicken…truly the best I’ve ever had. I haven’t found lemon chicken out here that even comes close. Their chicken is cooked to perfection, with delicious lemon sauce. The service was wonderful!! My niece, who is now in Arizona, and I were talking about this restaurant and their lemon chicken. We both miss it terribly.
