I brought my mom here for her birthday. It was AMAZING. The service was great, the place was clean and smelled like fresh made food and everything we ate was delicious. The rice was amazing, so soft and flavorful and our dishes were beyond, so many layers of flavor and yum. Their prices are reasonable and we both left with leftovers I wish I had the stomach space to eat right now. 😆 I'll be back for sure!!
I and my wife are Indian....both very very picky....actually I am insufferably picky....my daughter (foodie) jokes that I have almost never given a good rating to a restaurant !
Gateway to India in Gig Harbor (we live in San Diego) is fabulous. The service is very good...the ambiance is good and the food is excellent.....very well prepared and presented.
We actually look forward to Gig Harbor visits because of Gateway to India. And Thank God for a relatively original name.....so not keen on cliche names for Indian restaurants!
Buffet here 6 days a week. We are plant based, there are many options that do not have any animal products. They always have at least 4 plant based options plus salad, and poppadom to choose from. Great fast, friendly service. In the Summer you can enjoy sitting outside under an umbrella. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Very good food. Use spices well. Love Indian food. Seems a little different with the small bowls they are in. However, it was very cute with the candle underneath it. And it was plenty with rice, and the soup.
The food is so very good. You should try the mango chutney. Pictured is chicken vindaloo and garlic naan.
This place is great! Good portions, very tasty, and definitely worth the price. Unlike most of the PNW, they have a spice level that is NO JOKE, so go low if you're not a fan of very spicy food. Overall the area is lucky to have this food option available.
Can’t love this place enough!!! Best Indian Food in the South Sound! It’s my 15 year old favorite restaurant too! He’s always begging me to take him there. We love the lunch buffet so much and it’s such a great value. I love that I can try different menu items as they put out different dishes. Every dish is cooked very good and tastes amazing! My favorites are the Murgh Makani, Mutter Mushroom and the Saag Paneer. I can’t wait till the buffet opens back up as it is closed due to COVID. They just opened up this week for dine in. The staff are very friendly too. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, you are seriously missing out !
They had their lentil cilantro soup with takeout, best lentil soup in the puget sound. Two curry meals one vegetarian, 15-20mins. Should have tipped more even for takeout order, so worth it and glad they're open.
