Excellent place to eat. All meals are home cook. Place is very clean. Staff are very friendly and kind. Love this place. One downfall they only take cash I would go more often if they took cards because it's a inconvenience to get cash. But overall a awesome place.
Just came back from there just now on my trip to the upper perk YMCA. Place is clean, staff is real friendly. The lady owner said her uncle used to own the place and before that her grandfather who was the founder. It's been around since the 1920s and still tastes great! Only thing to note is they only take CASH ONLY! Luckily I had just enough for the bill! Would be nice if they took credit cards but hey, it was all good!
This is my favorite diner in the area. I've been coming here since before I can even remember and the owners have always been the best, sweetest people. Their home fries are my favorite and the vibe is just cozy and comfortable and welcoming. Please never change!
Not much to look at from the outside but give it a chance. Good homemade soup. Grille cheese made to perfection. Amazing homemade coconut custard pie. Must try for home cooked family run diner. We will be back
I remember eating here with my parents as a kid when we went for a ride in the "country" (we lived in Glenside). What a lovely, quaint restaurant. The food was delicious and the service excellent! Highly recommend a stop here for a good meal and friendly people.
The food is delicious and homemade. Everyone is very friendly and quick service too. Great Mom and Pop diner!! They only take cash but they do have an ATM in the lobby.
I would like to note that the park and the resturant are two seperate businesses. The campground is now closed. The park and pool are owned and maintained by the township.
The restaurant is a family owned business, that has been around for generations. Great little diner. Be sure to try some of the seasonal favorites. Best strawberry waffles, ice cream sundaes, and pie you'll ever have! Most items homemade. If you like the feeling of a small town diner, you will love it here. Best Breakfast around.
This place is right out of the textbook for diners on ole Route 66. Old school table service and plentiful portions. Endless cup of hot carmely diner style coffee. Great variety of deserts anytime of day. Restaurant adjacent to Hickory Park. Plenty of parking. Cash only and they have atm on premises. Good food for value.
