Based on my experience with the adjacent bar called The Hideout, my expectations were low and I was more looking forward to trying this place and to be done with it than the pizza itself. I'm very happy I enjoyed my pizza. I got the Mikey's pizza to go which was a little over $18 with tax. Seemed kinda high, but it does come with four toppings and they were pretty generous with them. The thin crust is hand tossed: not sure if this adds value to the taste, but it did add value to the prep. All pizzas are 14" and I don't believe they offer other types of crusts.
I have a couple of suggestions for the decor: You need a good sign. One at the end of the parking lot pointing to the restaurant and another outside the restaurant above the door. If I hadn't been here before, I would have assumed that Ikey's was no more since I only saw signs for The Hideout.
Also, don't use the dinning area as storage. Whatever is under the tarp by the front door needs to go.
I could see myself going back if I was nearby, but couldn't help think of two other pizza places nearby and more on my way home that I enjoy more.
A cute little hole in the wall hidden away on North Oak. I’m glad we stumbled upon this place a little over a year ago. It seems that every time we go the food is never a disappointment. It is always fresh, never burnt. The staff is always making sure to keep your drinks filled and is on top of your needs. Even when it is busy. They have a wide variety of appetizers, salads and pizza. I highly recommend trying this place out next time you get a craving for pizza!
This place is a hidden gem(literally and physically). One of the best places in Gladstone to grab a cold brew and also some killer pizzas. With a wide selection of foods to eat. This is a good spot for a first date or even if it's your 50th date. Grab a bud and go grab a bud this is a place you want to eat at.
I have been a returning customer ever since I tried it. Last time I ordered to pick up they had a 5 min longer than expected delay when i came in so they offered me a free beer while I waited. 5 star food, 5 star customer service!
Have loved taking the family to Ikeys pizza for years. We love the cheese pizza and calzones, it's our go to that we drive for when we are craving pizza. The last we went about 2 weeks ago the always awesome extreme cheese pizza was a complete meltdown, I mean letdown. The used to be stringy fall off the pizza cheese was barely existent with a lot of seasoning on top. We asked the cook if they changed their ingredients because something seemed off. The cook said the manager or owner changed how much cheese was allowed but didn't really know. Hopefully this isn't the case. This review may seem silly all over cheese pizza but we think it's the best in KC! The service is amazing especially from the bartender/waiter that runs all over!
I'm stuffed. First time in and ordered a pizza here. Toppings were fresh and cheese was decent. Crust was excellent. It's a bit light on sauce - I recommend a little extra! Service was quick and very friendly. Restrooms were tidy and clean. I'll be back. Thanks guys
One of our favorite local spots. Angela is star. The wings are ginormous and delicious. They have live music multiple days per week. Give it a try and don’t forget to also tip the pizza guy if you order hand-tossed pizza.
