This place is like home. I love coming here I have such wonderful memories of my parents my sister my nephew that has gone to be with the Lord. Everyone is so kind the cooks I’ve never have met but so far the well done pancakes and Cobb salad is the best!

My Grandma, Florence, has enjoyed coming here daily for breakfast for years now. The staff is beyond amazing and treat her like family. Any time I have joined her for breakfast the food has been delicious and the service has been phenomenal. Thank you for helping make her 90th birthday so special.
The place is very popular especially on the weekends. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and courtious. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
We live in Flagstaff, but, I love when we are in Phoenix and able to go to 'Kiss the Cook'.
The atmosphere is kitschy and fun, the staff are delightful, attentive and wonderful, and the food is flavourful and simply delicious.
I always seem to have the same thing when we go, the snow pea and water chestnut omelette, but this time I decided to try something new and had the corned beef hash. It was the best I have ever had!
There is a reason they are always hopping. We normally are there on weekends and always there is a line, which we do not mind in the least waiting. This visit was on a Monday morning, and we didn't have any wait, but we had apparently just timed it perfectly because, even on a random weekday, they were full.
I can't say enough good things about 'Kiss the Cook'. I look forward to my next opportunity to enjoy a meal there.

Biscuits and gravy were heaven on a plate. Brought back memories of my grandmothers cooking. The complimentary assortment of mini muffins were very yummy and a wonderful surprise. The omelette was enormous. Cute cozy little place that I'd love to visit again. Maybe try the big cinnamon roll next time. �

The breakfast was awesome....I wish they would serve salads on Sunday that was the only bad thing but everything else was great the server kept checking on us making sure our drinks were filled great resturant I wish I could give it 10 stars.

My friend and I hadn't visited together in quite some time since we live on opposite sides of the valley. We inadvertently walked in 5 minutes before closing. We offered to take our order to go but our server insisted we relax, order and enjoy. The BLT with Egg and side of Potato Salad was delicious. He was very kind not let us feel rushed.

Really good corned beef hash. I love the peppers and onions in it. Cooked crispy on the outside. Good potatoes. Eggs perfect.
The gravy was good, but the biscuits were to die for! I would say the best biscuits I have eaten!

**A Diamond In The Rough**
This is hands down one of the cutest and coziest restaurants. Me and my family were driving through and all starving, and saw this place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside and definitely in need of some TLC to the building, but we stopped anyways, and I’m so glad we did. Our waitress was Suzanne, and she could not have been anymore hospitable or attentive. She’s so friendly and kind and have great suggestions on the menu. We ordered the chicken fajita omelette, corn beef hash, and blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast breakfasts not a single item we ate was less than fantastic. Everything cooked fantastically and seasoned to perfection. I forgot to mention while you’re waiting for your food they bring out a basket of fresh and warm mini muffins and real butter to snack on. They’re so good, and tasty we ordered a basket to go for later. I really don’t know what was better here, the breakfast we ordered, the muffins while waiting, or Suzanne being so friendly, funny, and welcoming. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Darling little place with amazing food - and THE BEST iced tea!!!! Their bakers basket is full of delightfully flavored little muffin morsels, the omelets are light and fluffy, and the biscuits and gravy are so good!
I have been coming to Kiss the Cook for over 25 yrs. This downtown Glendale establishment is like you are stepping into the past. The place is decorated with vintage items & the food is served on mismatched China dishes. The food's quality is top notch. They have been featured on Diner's Drive it's & Dives. Be willing to wait especially on the weekends there is always a wait list. Don't get discouraged it will be worth the wait. All the staff treat you like family. It is apparent when you see all the customers that they know by name. My go to menu item for breakfast is the Jalapeño Popper Egg Benedict . This is a new addition to the menu. Also you can never go wrong with the Pecan Cinnamon Roll. After your belly is satisfied and your falling asleep from food coma the check is delivered with Hersey kisses . ( Super cute it plays of the name.) I highly recommend to anyone to visit this restaurant and see what all the hype is about.
Amazing food. The waitress was very kind to us while we were there the entire time. She even brought us chocolate for staying there! The muffins they provide for free are exceptional. The food in general is just off the charts delicious. Recommend going for breakfast! Atmosphere is very relaxing.
This is where you go when you want some food from Grandma. All the ladies were extremely friendly. They mainly serve breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served until they close.
Great little breakfast spot. Friendly service and delicious food. The portions were good sized and the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The coffee was a little weak, but not bitter. The biscuits and gravy was amazing. The biscuits were homemade and so moist and buttery. The gravy was thick, creamy and full of flavor. The corn beef hash was delicious! They fried it with bell peppers and onions. They also give you a basket of tiny delicious muffins!

Always a yummy breakfast!!! We each ordered the Cooks Combo which includes 2 eggs any style, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 pancakes and bakers basket. We also added a side of potatoes for a couple dollars more. When ordering any meal with a bakers basket they will bring out a basket of warm tiny muffins (usually an assortment of zucchini, bran and pineapple) and these are to die for! You can also purchase some to take home.
The food always comes out fresh and hot and the pancakes are light and soft, not dense like hockey puck pancakes, and served with a topping of soft whipped butter and one of my favorites in the area. The scrambled eggs are cooked fluffy, never hard and bacon is always crispy.
The only drawback for me is all of the clutter and knick knacks in the dining area collecting dust. There are even displays on tables taking up valuable dining space. Some of the chairs are quite uncomfortable and most of the chairs do not match like they were from your grandma and her friends old used furniture. They have about 6 outside eating area tables as well.
There are a couple of cute statues and I understand this is their decor, but I guess I am watching to much Restaurant Impossible and prefer a restaurant more streamlined and dust free eating environment.
Overall the food is worth overlooking all of the dusty clutter in the restaurant and possibly waiting for a table because of the wasted seating space.

When you walk in you get this immediate sensation of comfort and joy. The interior designe of the place gives me home like vibes and there is just enough decorations to have something to look at while not being overwhelming.
The server is outstanding and food gets to you really quickly. Not to mention they give you a basket of mini muffins that are warm and fluffy right off the bat.
To top off the experience they give you a Hershey kiss before you leave. 😘
First time enjoying Kiss the Cook, but definitely not the last. The muffins that came before our meal were warm and delicious. My omelet was so fluffy and was so flavourful. My husband had the breakfast burrito and loved it. The service was top-notch, and we enjoyed every minute at this gem.
Awesome little mom & pop shop! Very charming inside, a nice change from the chain & strip mall places. Breakfasts are served with a basket of mini-muffins, which are delicious! We particularly liked the Cajun hollandaise sauce. They take credit cards, but much prefer payment in cash to avoid the credit card fees
A bit of a drive but WELL worthwhile!
The three of us (self proclaimed “breakfast snobs”) gave it 5-stars, both breakfast and wonderful service!!! Highly recommended.
Great lil place to stop in for breakfast.. lots of things on the walls to look at as well as several news articles about the restaurant dating back to 1982. It's a 40 year old place but it's been taken care of and the service is top notch.. I had the breakfast burrito and she had the 2 egg breakfast and it was very good. I forgot to order a side of sausage gravy with breakfast and she had it outin less than a minute. Also the mini muffins were very moist and delicious.. my favorite was the pinneapple orange one! We will be back!
Love this place but they need more than two servers in the morning. Our server seemed frazzled and it affected her work. She forgot things and took forever to come back to us for refills and to check and see if we needed anything. We couldn't blame her for the restaurant being short-staffed. We will be back again
