Good tasting and options for seafood. You have to order at the counter. Worker gal didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Or just no personality.

My husband and I got invited with a friend and it's our first time. Everything cooked fresh and crispy. They use a fresh oil. I ordered a broils cod and a calamari and my husband ordered fish and chips. We recommend this place to our place.
First time here. We used to get our "back east" fried and grilled seafood at Taylor's. Oscar's food was very good. I had the taco special and my wife had the mahi fish and chips. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail. The only complaint I have was the shrimp cocktail was not mixed up. Shrimp wanted to keep tumbling out of the cup I was trying to mix cocktail sauce into. Extremely frustrating. We plan on adding this place into our food rotation.
This place has become a regular stop for us at least once a month. When we are craving fish we come here. They are known for their clam chowder soup (mmmmm tasty). They have all you can eat tilapia fish every day but Friday that comes with fries and coleslaw. They have giant tacos that is filled with meat of your choice and I chose fried shrimp. I love that you can prepare your own drink. Music is decent. Atmosphere is fun. I feel like it mostly attracts the senior citizens. The servers are all willing to help you when you wave them down. I would like to try their jumbo shrimp dinner the next time we come here.
Sometimes there are no words to describe how delicious and perfect and wonderful your meal is. I'm at an absolute loss of words. I'm always skeptical about trying new restaurants, especially a seafood joint. I ordered the 1 piece cod and 1/2 lbs. fried clam strip n chips combo and my mom ordered the 1 piece cod and 4 jumbo shrimp n chips combo. The portions are HUGE. The combos come with a side of coleslaw which, by the way, was out of this world. The food was hot and fresh, and the batter was light and crispy, not too salty. All the food was just perfect, the employees were all so nice, even the soda (Dr. Pepper) was delicious... Just go here. You won't be disappointed, I promise. I will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try the other items they have to offer. One last comment, I live near downtown Phoenix, the drive was not bad at all, only took about 20 minutes to make it to 59th Avenue and Union Hills (during rush hour even). Don't let the location be the reason you don't go.
As recent New England transplants, my Wife and I were missing a truly good seafood place. We were told about Pier 83 and found that they have Haddock. What a fantastic place! The fried haddock was out of this world and the clam strips were as good as anything back in NH! Well done!
I had a hankering for some fish and chips, and have had Village Inn's (greasy), haven't tried Pete's yet, but Oscar's isn't greasy - not only that, it doesn't taste of old frying oil. It seems it was made to order by someone who cares, and I got more of the fish than frying oil in every bite. Definitely impressed, tried some other things 2nd time and just as impressed. Great place! Whomever is managing this place definitely cares about food quality - and that means from the time it comes in to the plate. It is a little on the more expensive side, but I will gladly pay for quality.
We love eating here. The food is amazing. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu.
I always get the 2 piece fried mahi with steak fries and seafood pasta salad. Calamari strips are great. Hush puppies are great. Cocktail sauce is perfect. I do not recommend the garden salad. Best fish and chips in any land-locked state on the west coast.
First time visitor and I will most definitely return. I ordered the haddock fish and chips and it was delish. The food wasn’t greasy and was made to order. The atmosphere was great and inviting. I will recommended Oscar’s to all my friends.
