EVERYTHING was great here! Food was awesome, staff was friendly, place was clean. The pulled pork, brisket, collards and coleslaw were all just phenomenal!!! Brisket was probably the most tender I've ever had. I loved the vinegar sauce on the pulled pork and the collared greens were so tasty! Not sure what they did with the coleslaw (different cut and sauce than I'm used to) but it was the best I've had also. Will definitely be back when were in the area!
Additional note: this is a roadside BBQ, not a restaurant. You order inside and then carryout or there is outside seating.
If your coming back from the coast or that direction, DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP! You can't turn straight in from hwy 70. You go just past it and make a U turn. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! I usually keep driving. Now I feel stupid. This is not dry BBQ. The sweet sauce is great too. Make sure to get some. They will come out to you to get your order for safety.
The pork was excellent no sauce was needed. They also cut up Cracklin to add some extra kick in with it. The BBQ chicken was delicious as well, with a very well balanced homemade bbq sauce. A very good rendition of collards, my only complaint would be the potato salad. The potato’s were under cooked and the seasoning was just average. However, overall well worth the you turn you have to make traveling west bound on 70.
The brisket was great! I have the cheesesteak sandwich! The Mac and cheese was good too! The staff was friendly and it was clean:)
Would have been 5 stars if the "set-up" was better . I love a drive thru. I couldn't figure out the one there.
Adam's has most excellent pulled pork! The sauce is somewhat Lexington style with what I'm thinking is molasses. Sweet and delicious. This is a must do destination.
Pretty muc everything on the menu is delicious, everytime! I docked a star because unfortunately I've had multiple ordered messed up and overcharged on an occasion. With it being a take home meal, it isn't worth going all the way back (especially sense literally everything I've eating there is delightful).
