The food was really good. During my stay at the Glen House, I got the chicken and waffles, cheese curds, Chicken Statler, french toast with berries, bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel with fruit, oatmeal raisin cookies, blueberry muffins, and lemonade. All of the food was delicious. The only complaint I have is with the service. It always took a long time to be given our bread, drinks, and food. Even when we were the only people there, it took over 2 hours to eat. I understand that we were a big party, but it was kind of ridiculous to see multiple other tables be seated after us and leave before us multiple times. The price was on the higher side, but the food was very good.
I had a wonderful dinner here with my family. The food was outstanding, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was lovely. We sat outside, and the view of Mount Washington was amazing. We ordered salad, lobster bisque, tomato bisque, short ribs, and spinach and artichoke dip. The prices were reasonable, and we had a great time. We really appreciated their kid-friendliness. We were here once before, and this time was as nice as last time.
Loved our stay at Glenn House, and the food and service at The Notch Grill! Farm fresh food, excellent presentation and service, wonderful drinks, and great menu! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic.
We stopped here for a bite after our drive up to the top of Mt Washington. The view, food and service were top notch. You get what you pay for here. Relax and enjoy.
Excellent food and super friendly and polite staff – conveniently located in The Glen House where my husband and I stayed for 3 nights. I wasn't able to get a picture of each meal but pretty much everything was absolutely delicious. First and foremost, they have got the most delicious french fries! The lobster roll 5/5, Chicken Caprese 5/5, Fish and Chips 5/5, Grilled Cheese 5/5, 2 poached eggs with toast, bacon and hash 5/5, The Caesar Salad could have been a 5 if fresh and warm chicken was used, it was served with cold chicken which was not particularly good. That was the one minuscule complaint.
Stunning views of Mount Washington to enjoy while eating your breakfast!
Simple breakfast offerings along with some interesting mash-ups. Pricing is average for the area ($15-25pp) food was not bad but I can't say anything stood. The waitress was fantastic.
Went here for breakfast on both mornings of our hotel stay. Fantastic quality food and generous portion sizes. I had the French toast and the omelette and both were delicious. The orange juice is also fresh squeezed. They give you muffins as an appetizer with house maple butter. What’s not to like? Looking forward to coming back next time we’re in the area.
Great views eating outside on the back porch! After spending the day on Mount Washington, I was able to enjoy a really great meal with friendly service, looking out on a beautiful panorama with the peak just visible. There was a fire pit with big comfy-looking chairs, too. (Note to management: careful not to over A/C the bar area!)
The pork belly burger is fantastic and the views are even better. I could spend all day lounging in front of the cozy fireplace looking out the windows.
The Porch at The Glen House hotel at the Mt Washington Auto Road and Great Glen area. The Notch Grille is a beautiful off-lobby restaurant and bar with a great selection of beer and ale on tap. The service was... Top Notch! Our bartender, Ryan, was excellent and really made for a memorable visit.
The porch is the outdoor seating area and the crown jewel (in my opinion) of the hotel. As a North Conway NH area real estate expert and owner of my own business within Keller Williams Lakes and Mountains Realty in North Conway, I like having an area that brings us closer to the source of our longing for the sublime peaks. I highly recommend The Notch Grille at The Glen House on Rt 16 at the Mt Washington Auto Road for local business, families and anyone looking for the true mountain atmosphere.
Beautiful setting where you can choose between a casual section or a more formal one. The casual section has a bar area with a high ceiling and a huge window. The view is simply amazing! The food, service and atmosphere is just very inviting. We spend a relaxing afternoon there after some xc skiing.
We visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were blown away. The Auto Road Omlette and French Toast were delicious and the views were stunning. Getting views of the snow whipped Mount Washington and Great Gulf while were the perfect way to start our day.
Service was great and the food was even better. I could've eaten the broccoli cheddar soup all day. The burger I had was one of the best burgers I've had to date. Its somewhere you definitely have to try if your in the area.
The chicken n’ waffles are 100/10!! Bloody Mary, not so great. Service was good and the view is incredible!
The in-house restaurant at the Glen House at the foot of Mt. Washington. 30 minutes from North Conway and 15 Minutes from Gorham (with nothing in between so they sort of have a captive customer base with hotel guests). Nevertheless it's worth a trip from either direction.
Awesome views from the lounge and dining room. Service was prompty and friendly. We just had drinks and breakfast the next day. Drinks were ample and very well made (my wife said the Lemon Drop was the best she's ever had). Fireplace and view of Mt. Washington make the whole scene wonderful. The breakfast menu has evolved since they opened and is now quite comprehensive. Food was excellent. We regretted not staying for dinner but we have a favorite place in Gorham that is our go-to when we stay here. Still, I think next visit we'll stay two nights so we can sample the dinner fare.
