If I had to find something wrong it would be my Sangria drink was very weak, too much ice. If I wanted kook-aid, I would have brought some from home. My meal was great and our waitress was outstanding! I will also add, a lot of these places play there music way too loud. But, my meal was great! 😉
Well I am disappointed to read any bad reviews here. This is a wonderful restaurant - with food and service to match. We were fortunate to choose it last evening amongst so many other choices in Grand Haven. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was absolutely 5 Star quality. We both had the specials, pasta for my husband and pork shank for myself. Both were exceptional. Creme Brule for dessert was the best we've found in Michigan. For those who thought the price too high, I say you get what you pay for. Yum!
Beautiful time with my kids. Had a food issue and it was taken care of like I was the Queen of England. Jack was the best server!

Got seated quickly, it was a Tuesday night however. We got the nachos as an entree and they were amazing, my teenager putting them on par with our par with our local nacho haunt.
I got the kale salad, I was ready to lick my plate, son got the chicken parmesan, the Mrs a walnut salad, all very happy with our choices.
Our server Carly was very nice and checked on us often. We would come back for sure

My husband and I went to Grand Haven for a quick get away. After walking through town we settled on The Kirby House for drinks and appetizer. We sat outside on the rooftop, which had great view of the river. Our waiter was attentive, drinks were thirst quenching and the macho nacho lived up to its name and was delicious.
Bar staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about their craft beers on tap! Food is always great as well.
Great place to have some fun! Great atmosphere too! Only negative, drinks cost WAY too much!!! $7 for a glass of wine is ridiculous … I can go down the street and pay $4
We celebrated our anniversary last weekend at the Grill Room. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out!

Made reservations to celebrate an anniversary. Host and server welcomed us by name and wished us a special evening, and that went a long way. Service was excellent- with an appetizer, there was a steady stream of tasty food. The lady ordered a NY strip and i ordered the filet, which was divine. Pricey but well worth the investment. Will be coming back if we ever find ourselves in the Grand Haven area again.
Delicious steak options. Fresh seafood. Service is professional from the preparation of the meal until you walk out of the door. Set in a late 1800s Hotel, the vibe inside is retro and urban feeling. The Bar is well stocked with any option and shelf imaginable. Reservations are tough, calling ahead is a must. On a busy night you will wait for a table. It will be worth it..
Their website gives no info on the Grill Room menu so I had to call for details. Very limited offerings, 3 entrees, 1 salad and 1 appetizer so was apprehensive.
Pleasant Surprise the food was really good. Service also excellent.

The place to go in Grand Haven for a steak dinner. We were a little underdressed (didn't realize it was an upscale restaurant) but we were all in the mood for steak and from the looks of most other places in town, this was the only option. The food was awesome, my husband & I had the petite fillet which was delicious. I had the Brussel sprouts & he had the wedge salad, both delish. My son had the strip steak, it was good too but he said not as tender as mine was (to be expected). He had the garlic mashed, yum. The sides are a little pricey but are meant to be shared, big portions. The service was stellar. We will definitely return if we are ever back in town.
The staff were nice & friendly. It appears this is 3 establishments in 1 building. Kirby Grill, K2 (pizza upstairs) and the Dark Room (night club in the basement). The grill is busy, pretty noisy, and the food is a little on the high end. Wife had a great chicken stir fry with plenty to eat. I had the Scallops. Three scallops for $19 was a little bit surprising. Tasted great but not a lot for the money. I'd go again but I'd ask more questions before choosing an entre.
Took my wife here for our anniversary. The steak is amazing always cooked to perfection. If there is a band playing next door it can be a little loud but always try and take my wife here whenever we are in Grand Haven
Great selection of fresh seafood and steaks. Service is top-notch and the atmosphere is friendly. Our waiter, Benjamin, was helpful and good. Great dining experience.
