The atmosphere here is very classical. White table clothes and waiters dressed to the nines. I ordered a Lobster Bisque, a Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and Creme Brulee Cheesecake for dessert. The Lobster Bisque was simply Phenomenal. Not just the best Lobster Bisque I've ever had, it may be the best soup period. So smooth and creamy, bursting with flavor. The Filet Mignon melted in my mouth, it was outstanding. Easily one of the best Steaks I've ever had. The only note is their medium rare is rare, medium is medium rare, and so on. The Mashed Potatoes were perfect and a very generous portion. The Creamed Corn was also phenomenal. Bursting with flavor and slightly spicy. Loved them so much, I want more. Lastly the Creme Brulee Cheesecake was ehhh. Wasn't a fan of the Creme Brulee and the cookie cheesecake was good but nothing special. The Service was outstanding. Very prompt and informative. Overall easily a 5 star experience. Will I be back? Oh heck yes! This was possibly the best meal alongside Fogo de Chao in DC that I've ever had. Soooo Good! This is my new Birthday restaurant. Finally found the best steak in Grand Rapids! Fyi on your birthday for 1-2 people you get 50% off your food. 3-4 I think is 35%, and 5+ is 25% off. I will be back to pay full price too, not just my Birthday.

First time here visiting here, This place was fitting for a great meal after the hectic holidays. We started out and ordered the French Onion Soup and Salad (Grilled Hearts of Romaine ) with applewood smoked bacon. Then for sharing of Accompaniments We picked Cheddar Au Gratin Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, and Baked Three Cheese Macaroni with Roasted Poblano Peppers. These were spot on delicious we nibbled on a few of these, very filling and in order to have room for the main course we took these home. For Entrees we both chose the Chef's Special of the night, a 11 ounce Filet Mignon with Goat Cheese with Peppercorns with a Demi-Glace. Medium plus was the temp. It was mentioned by or Server (Jordan) said that they under cook the meat here, and to order one above what you would normally pick. The timing between the each course was perfect and attention to detail from beginning to end was great. Jordan was spot on perfect and there when we had questions. Once our entrees arrived they were hot and as described, flawless start to finish each bite was perfect the filet was tender and juicy. Little effort was needed to cut the pieces off. To finish off the night we ordered the Creme Brulee' Cheesecake Of the Day. today's selection was with a oreo crust, This was a spot on delicious and a must have was rich and flavorful. Once done with dinner there is a cigar lounge in the lower level of the restaurant which u can choose from hand rolled cigars and gourmet desserts. However we walked by the steps leading to this section but we were running late and could not indulge in this area. Next time will we do this. I would recommend this place hands down, this needs to be on your bucket list of places to enjoy a great dinner and pleasing atmosphere which make a night out here complete.

Our waitress Brittany was amazing, she was kind, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable. The food was delicious and the service and professionalism of the employees was impecable. Our water glasses stayed full, we saw a table cleared and reset within minutes, I saw a gentleman and his daughter go to the restroom and their napkins were refolded and placed on the table within about a minute. Dessert was absolutely amazing. When we left every employee we encountered said goodnight, have a nice evening, or something. It was the best birthday dinner...thank you everyone, we will definitely be back, the drive from Lansing was worth it.

The Chop House was fantastic! Food was superb, staff was immensely accommodating and cohesive as a team, and the overall experience was remarkable! Great environment, location, and selection. Came for a nice dinner on a family trip and brought our 11 mo old to her first fancy dinner. While she was as active and noisy as an 11 mo old would be, Catherine (our server) and the entire team offered to keep Zoe entertained while mom and dad had a few minutes to enjoy their perfect meal. Can’t say enough great things! Lastly, they had a custom batch of Woodford Reserve Bourbon, which was awesome as well. Thanks again Catherine and team!! Will definitely be back!

Are you kidding me???? The finest steak, food, service I have ever had! Holy crap people!! Do yourself a favor and go there, it is a bit high on the price but it is worth every penny!! Oh and try the old fashion at the bar....incredible!!

I took my wife here for her birthday. Everything was AMAZING!!! From the hostess to all the wait staff, and Jordan our waiter was awesome, (even shook my hand as we were leaving.) He was very helpful with the menu and everything. Both our steaks were cooked to perfection and so tasty. I'd give a sixth star if I could.

A truly splendid place, from start to finish! Excellent selection of drinks of all kinds, the menu selection seems wide ranging. The on site cigar selection is limited but the cutting fee is quite low. Jennifer was a top notch bartender!

Went for my birthday. Best meal we have ever had! Servers made us feel like royalty. Any time we had a question they where right there to answer any and all questions and gave great suggestions and really listened to what I was looking for. Could not have asked for a better night. Would recommend it to everyone for any celebratory occasion!

My fiancé and I dined last night for his 30th Birthday. We had a WONDERFUL time. Our waiter Jordan was great- joked with us the entire time. The food is always excellent and my fiancé enjoyed his gourmet "brunch" with the leftovers today.

We dined at the Chop House on Friday to celebrate a gradation from Grand Valley. The food was amazing, drinks were fantastic and Grayson was a great server. He was on top of everything with great suggestions and some humor as well. Thank you for a great night.

Great location, great food. The bread that they bring before the food is absolutely magnificent. I would ask for two servings of it next time. Lobster bisque is delightfully highly recommend. Also the Salmon comes in a huge portion so you might be able to split it! Depending on how hungry you are. Overall one of Grand Rapids best restaurants can’t wait to return!!!!

We were visiting the area and decided to treat ourselves. We agreed to give this place a go based on other reviews and it did not disappoint! It was such a fantastic dinner experience, and we have never had such perfect steak before. Everything from our drinks, apps (Lobster bites), soup (French onion), and steaks (Cowboy and NY Strip) with sides (asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and baked potato) was incredible and savory. Due to the high quality and setting, it is pricey but definitely worth it. Recommend parking in the garage right around the corner - reasonable rates and easy walk.

Dined here with my wife for our anniversary. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD!!! They have a unique way of preparing their beef Wellington that I had not seen or heard of, but it's EXTREMELY TASTY!!!!!!! The atmosphere here is very quaint, quiet, and relaxing. While I didn't say that there is a dress code per se, but, it would be proper to at least wear something business or dress casual. OUR SERVER GRAYSON WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! This young man is easily the standard as what customer service should be in a fine dining establishment such as this. I had never seen anyone work so hard to make sure that we were happy. Whoever trained they show man should be very happy, they did a fine job. Management should appreciate this young man, as well as the chefs because together they put together one powerhouse experience from me and my wife for our anniversary. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE ATTENDING THERE AGAIN!!

Very great service. The steak was immaculate. They provided excellent customer service with a very delicate approach. The corn is very delicious, the rolls are unique and very delicious. The vanilla bean creme brulee was AMAZING, with it being my birthday they even wrote happy birthday on my plate and lit me a birthday candle.

Eating at the chophouse is definitely an experience. The servers do a great job of presenting the food and making sure The customer is taken care of. We came and celebrated my son-in-law‘s birthday and tried a little of everything. The house salad and Caesar salad were both good. The fillet was extremely tender and the salmon was good. My daughter got the chicken dish which she really liked as well. The asparagus was OK and we really liked the macaroni and cheese, the cream corn, and the brussels sprouts. I also love that their cheesy popovers are gluten-free. There are a variety of food items on their gluten-free menu for those looking for a good gluten-free restaurant. They even have the flourless chocolate cake for dessert.

Service and atmosphere were excellent. In town for a bachelor party and they took a reservation for 10 people and gave us prompt service. The food was pretty good, but our party felt like the food was overpriced. We are used to high quality Chicago steakhouses, so maybe our expectations were higher than they should have been. Still had a good time.

The servers set down your plates at the same time for your main course (how fun). Our waiter was really funny and the drinks were delicious. The whole meal was a treat and the only thing I managed to remember to take pictures of were the deserts. Oh and the Spanish coffee was perfect to add to the desert!
