This was mine and my husbands 1st time and my son has been to Ruthb Chris several times, Brian our waiter was very friendly and treated us well, even went out of his way to welcome my son home from the military and gave him a special dessert and thanked him for his service, the food was amazing even though the shrimp and lobster tail had cajun spices on them that wasnt specified on the menu. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
Had a great dinner before seeing a show! The staff was amazing! Our waitress Autumn did a great job from the beginning of our meal to dessert! Thanks for a great night!
A friend and I had dinner there last night to celebrate a birthday. The food was awesome!! Perfect steaks, wedge salads, loaded baked potatoes and bread/butter.
The bread pudding was tasteless so we didnt eat it. When the waiter asked how the dessert was, we told him the truth. He apologized and removed it from the bill so we were satisfied with that. It is expensive but worth it for special occassions. Best steak ever!
As usual, the food was fantastic, the service was outstanding and the wine was perfect for our meal! When in Grand Rapids this is a place we must always visit!
Stunning service. Phenomenal food and drinks. Not my every day meal of course, but highly recommend.
It was a beautiful evening and I was with my Love and he surprised me with dinner reservations at Ruth’s Chris! Never been here before and the food was delicious! Great food and great service!!!
Went there last night with a buddy just because, we had the scallops as an appetizer (Phenomenal) he had the filet and I had the ribeye! Both cooked amazing, lobster Mac and cheese and asparagus for sides! No complaints. Our server was training someone and both did great! Was all top notch! Love me some Ruth’s Chris! 3 on the year
My sweetheart took me for my birthday! Atmosphere was great, Ben our server was super professional and helpful. The food was great!!!!!! I had the lamp chops they were as good as in my native country Greece!!!!
Excellent food and service. Love this place. We have been to several locations and the food is always the same standards . The steaks are out of this world.
We had a nice experience visiting Ruth's Chris for our first time. The dining area is large with decent space between tables. We were fortunate to get a cozy spot in a corner, providing a quiet space to dine. Everything is clean, perhaps a little aged.
The food overall was excellent, as it should be at this price point. The filet was cooked perfectly mid rare and delicious. The stuffed chicken is super flavorful, probably the best chicken we've ever had. The star of the meal though was the veal ravioli appetizer - it is absolutely divine and highly recommended. The only food item that was disappointing was the garlic mashed potatoes, which honestly were too close to instant mash consistency.
The cocktails are pricey but strong pours, the Harvest cocktail is great.
Service was fast but not pushy at all, and the free dessert was a nice touch.
All in all Ruth's Chris is worth the price.
My wife and I chose Ruth’s Chris Steak House for our 3rd anniversary celebration, and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly.
The cocktail selection was sublime. My wife enjoyed a phenomenal pomegranate martini, while I savored a Gambler's old fashioned—both crafted to perfection. As a starter, we shared the Veal Ossu Buco Ravioli, which set the tone for the exquisite meal that followed.
For our main course, my wife had the 6oz Filet with Spicy Crab, and I had the 8oz Filet with Bleu Cheese Crust. Both were cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes we shared were the perfect complement to our steaks.
Unable to resist, I ordered another old fashioned, which was just as fantastic as the first. To cap off our marvelous meal, we both had an espresso that came with chocolate and a sugar-encrusted stirrer. We also shared a crème brûlée that was nothing short of divine.
Special shoutout to Michael and Briela, our attentive and friendly staff for the evening, who ensured our anniversary went wonderfully. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion—or simply to enjoy an unforgettable meal.
Service! Ruth's Chris is where the high level of pleasant and exceptional service defines the experience. Our dinner evening was beyond excpetional...and a visit from the chef upon request by our 8 year old grandson, was over the top cool! Seafood Tower, champagne to bread Pudding and cheesecake with port...thank you for each detail!
We went to Ruth's Chris for our one year anniversary. The online reservation was super easy. Our server (shout out to Joyce) was AMAZING! She walked us through the menu, made suggestions, and when we decided to split a steak she cut it ahead of time so it was really easy to share. This food though, was the best steak my husband and I have ever had. It melts in your mouth.
We skipped potatoes for three veggies- mushrooms, asparagus, and Brussel sprouts. SO GOOD.
Lastly they surprised us with a dessert wishing us a happy one year anniversary. The whole experience beginning to end was fantastic- we will definitely be back!
Always a wonderful experience in the Amway this time. Ruth Chris for art prize 2023.
Sweet potato casserole, cowboy, ribeye, and lobster bisque
Definitely a great dine in spot in Grand Rapids!
We have been to Fort Wayne's RC and the one in Toronto Canada by far Grand Rapids and Fort Wayne tie for the BEST in food...service & atmospher. It's definitely worth every dollar
We had the best time at Ruth Chris. The ambiance of the restaurant to the staff was above and beyond! The food was divine and absolutely delicious. I will be back again and again!
I came here with a colleague and although it's a bit pricey, it is well worth it. If you want the best steak of your life, look no further. Everything came out wonderfully. Gambler's Old Fashioned is an amazing compliment to your Filet. Sides are served family style and are amazing. Desserts are perfect. Take a date, expect to spend around $250-300 and enjoy your life.
This was our first time at the restaurant, and I was not sure what to expect. Our expectations were more than met. From the time of arrival, the waiter asked about what we were doing and then was very good at describing the menu and answering any questions. He even explained to this none wine drinker the subtleties of the selection and helped pair it with dinner. The steak was perfect. Great flavor, cooked as asked and so tender. We had the Brussels sprouts and they took were fantastic. Then at the end of the night, our waiter brought a complimentary dessert for us to celebrate our anniversary. What an experience. I would recommend this place to anyone. Just be prepared it is on the pricy side, but it's a steak restaurant, and it is worth it.
Outstanding meal! Beef Filet, chopped salad, au gratin potatoes and roasted corn. The Turley old vine Zin was amazing. Our server Kurt was polished, prompt, and knowledgeable. Count on Ruth Chris to do it right.
We had the MOST wonderful meal here. Special thank you to our server Joyce who made the experience amazing. She provided so much helpful info and had a wonderful warm attitude, we felt right at home. And the food was AMAZING!!! Hands down best steak I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants amazing food and amazing service for a date night!
Best steak I have had yet, sides were good, desert was amazing. Our Server Autumn was amazing and made us feel comfortable and did a wonderful job.
Fantastic dining! It's literally the best steak I have ever had. If you park in the amway grand parking ramp, they will validate your ticket for 50% off. If you go for your birthday and tell them they will give you a free amazing desert. It's definitely worth dining at least once in your life. Bathrooms are small, and it is a little tight when walking around the dining areas. The full menu is in the photos I posted.
Great place for expensive taste . Good ambiance and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The steak was delicious and juicy .
We sent on the back side restaurant because they are full in front area . I can say the table is smaller for bigger orders .
Overall it was good choice and relaxing night to dine .
We are hungry so we haven’t got the picture. Check out their site & menu for dining options.

Everything was fantastic. Suzanne was our waitress. She was great. Informative, with good recommendations, and just enough enjoyable conversation. Not overly talky, like some people can be. And I was super impressed when she asked if we had any food allergies, so she could make the kitchen aware.
I ordered the Ruby Red Greyhound, and it was so good, I had 3!
For dinner, I had the ribeye, and it was so juicy and perfectly cooked. Not to mention, huge! The sweet potato casserole was almost like dessert! So good!
My husband had the lamb chops. They are served with a delicious mint jelly that really compliments the meat (of course I had to try them, too). He didn't stop raving about them. About halfway through, he said 'These are so good, it makes me wanna eat the bone!'. So I'm guessing he liked them.
For dessert, he had a raspberry sorbet, and I had cheesecake. Which was delicious, and way too big to finish in one sitting.
Is it a little pricey? Yes. But is it worth it? Also yes.
It was a perfect birthday dinner.
We'll be back next month, for our anniversary!
Chef Ramsey would be impressed. Food was 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋, service was AMAZING 👏
