Good place to eat. We eat here from time to time. My boyfriend loves their meatballs and uses them as his benchmark for good meatballs. The food is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. Everything seems to be made from scratch and we've always had a good experience. I even buy their red sauce occasionally to use on my own lasagna or stuffed shells.

I'm a very big critic when it comes to places like this. Especially pizza. But let me start by saying this place is outstanding and very reasonable priced. I ordered 2 pizzas, the artichoke dip, salad, and chicken tenders. The dip was extremely good! Especially with the garlic bread. The salad had nothing but green lettuce and tasted amazing. The pizza is some of the absolute best I've ever tried! And I like to try pizza places all over the US. The chicken tenders we won't even count because it was the kids' menu, haha. Overall, this is one of the best pizza places in GR I have tried!!
My wife and I had dinner at a table in the bar area which is a little less noisy than the main dining room when busy, especially on a weekend at this popular west side neighborhood Italian restaurant. A welcoming family environment for 47 years now. The food is fresh, homemade, tasty and reasonably priced. Service was great. My wife had the lasagna and I had one of the specials, maple glazed salmon. Both were very good. Will return to try other entrees or pizza. We did return this evening for dinner for the manicotti special on Tuesday's. Delicious! We returned again tonight and tried a couple of other entrees. I had the linguine carbonara which was very good. A half order is enough, trust me. My wife had a personal size pizza of their award winning Taste of Grand Rapids which has various ethnic spices on it which is very good! Sorry I was so hungry I forgot to take pics. Geez!
We rented the back room for a Christmas entertainment and it was perfect. Our waitress, Alison did an excellent job as well as the back of the house staff. Our food was served in a timely manner and was hot, delicious and of the best quality ingredients. The ambiance of the room was cozy, warm and welcoming. We all had a grand time and I highly recommend renting this room for your next intimate gathering. They can accommodate up to 40 people.
Driven by this place a thousand times in 40 years and never paid it no mind.....Pizza was delicious. The Bruschetta was not what I'm used to eating around here, but it was MONEY!! Salvatore's is my new Bruschetta spot. Yo, check them out! 💪🏽 😋😋
Stopped here on our way to our Airbnb. Found this place on Google while searching for pasta. The atmosphere is very simple and old school. Our waitress was absolutely pleasant. We got so much food for the prices. We both tried fettuccine alfredo with chicken, brichetta, and pizza. Had food for 3 days! And the food was delicious! This was such a great way to start our trip!
I was visiting Grand Rapids we stopped at Salvatores for dinner, I had the veal Parmigian and a muscles in there own sauce both were good. The veal was tender with lots of gravy and cheese simple classic dish. Wait staff was nice and food came out quick.
We came for a birthday dinner for our son. He enjoyed the BDay cannoli......Only complaint would be soggy eggplant parm and tough with the skin still on. Our server seemed very rushed with very little eye contact, so I feel like we missed that aspect of our dining experience. Overall we would definitely come back another time.
We had carry-out from here for our wedding rehearsal with about 25 people. We ordered a few pizzas, a half tray of fettuccine alfredo with chicken, a half tray of lasagna, and the accompanying salad and garlic bread. It was delicious and everyone loved it!
I got the sampler platter. The lasagna was just okay for me but I enjoyed the rest of it. The portions are very large especially for the price. Meal came with a salad and garlic bread as well. I recommend getting the calamari if ordering an appetizer. They have great prices for pasta on Sunday if you’re looking for a great deal.
When we order from this place the food is excellent we do mostly deliveries when they say I'll be about 45 minutes it turns out to be about 30 the delivery guy is very friendly very helpful and very professional he always has something nice to say and when I order pizza for spaghetti and let me tell you they have a bad spaghetti in Grand Rapids Michigan that's my personal opinion with big huge meatballs there's always nice and hot and very well pleasing I will recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a great great meal with friendly atmosphere professional people with a smile if you wasn't having a good day when you walked in you definitely leave with a good feeling thank you for being there for us
Really enjoyed this place. Atmosphere/food wonderful. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating space. I had Eggplant Parmesan. Came with a side of spaghetti and garlic bread. Also enjoyed local wine.
A great local spot for food and spirits on the westside of GR. I recommend enjoying drinks and conversation over a plate of veal Parmigian on the patio if weather permits.
Really good Italian food overall, but I enjoy their pizza the most. They have pretty much any Italian dish you would want but try the pizza if it is your first time.
We decided to check this place out based on word of mouth. They did not disappoint. It’s fantastic!! Thank you Salvatore’s for making us great pizza!
