Saturday night bingo and this place is hopping! Great atmosphere staff is super nice! Food and drinks were excellent!
Cool little joint just off the 196 freeway, we're new to GR so we're trying some of the so called 'standards' of the area and this gem didn't disappoint. I would suggest you make reservations, at least on the weekend as it got busy quickly around 6pm and it's not that big of a restaurant in the first place. Nice ambience, cozy, low ceilings, full bar. The staff was super nice and friendly too.
We had the Fettuccini Alfredo & Chicken Divan. Their unlimited garlic bread was good, nice crust on the outside and soft on the inside. The only complaint I'd have, and it's not a big one, but their dinner salads leave a lot to be desired. You get iceberg lettuce, some shredded carrot and 1 cherry tomato - exactly 1 tomato. It looks like they used to have a salad bar, looked to be covered up with white cloths. If they bring that back, I'd give it a solid 5 stars, but for now, a pretty solid 4.
I have only gotten takeout, but everything I have tried has been so good! Pictured is half of the pasta combo, it is the perfect amount to split for 2. What is not pictured is the amazing flavor that everything has that you don’t get at most American-Italian places! We will go back every time we want Italian food.
50 yrs in business. Come get some real authentic Italian food. Support our small Businesses for a change. Must try.
Old style Italian restaurant with great ambiance. Service was great. I love eggplant Parmesan but most places don't remove the skin which is like eating dental floss. But this restaurant removes the skin. The portions are big and prices are good. The only thing I didn't like was their red sauce, it was very sweet so much so my wife and I found it off putting. I liked everything else so much that I will return and try a different sauce.
This was our first time at Florentine's. We sat at the bar & quickly made friends with the bar tender Caroline who has worked there for 31 years! She gave excellent recommendations & was so knowledgeable & fun!
We ordered chicken cantinelli & chicken parmesan, both were amazing! Most pasta and the sauces are handmade, everything is so fresh!
The bar area is swanky, it has no windows & had that old school vibe. We Entertained ourselves with touch tunes on the jukebox and played mahjong on their game machine. We will most definitely be coming back for more food & fun!
Best Cauliflower crust pizza in town! Been coming here for years and always get the this pizza. Loaded up with toppings and the sauce is delicious!
We were seated promptly, and the service staff did a great job keeping us in drinks and food. Polite and friendly. The meal was prepared very well.
The pizza is a bit pricey but it is very delicious with alot of flavor. I recommend giving them a visit if you are looking for a better than average pizza.
It was a stab in the dark, we are not from the area, but we're driving through and wanted pizza. It was a great choice! So glad we stopped. The whole experience was great, from the welcoming hostess to our friendly server and let me just say, the food was FANTASTIC! We will be back for sure!
First time visiting this restaurant and I am so happy that we decided to eat here!!! The food is amazing and the portions are huge and the pizza is cooked over a wood burning stove!! I will definitely be back !

Florentine is a classic. The food is decent (entrees) to excellent (cheesecake). The ambiance hasn't changed in over 20 years. My son and I took my parents for their birthdays.
We started with the Italian Sampler appetizer, which consisted of fried ravioli, provolone sticks, and boneless wings (a last-minute substitution for mushroom caps, which they were out of). We enjoyed all three.
My mom got manicotti with meat sauce, while I had the manicotti with marinara. My dad had the meat lasagna, and my son had the sausage sub. We were all satisfied with our entrees.
For dessert, my son and I had cheesecake, mine with raspberry sauce and his with peaches. The slices were huge, homemade, and delicious. Both of us took about half of ours home. My mom got the cannoli (served in a pair). She enjoyed hers as well, and she took one home.
Our service was great, but we were there on a slow Wednesday night with only one couple there when we got there. There was a large group that came in about halfway through our meal. It was clear they had a reservation.
Overall, Florentine offers consistent American comfort food versions of Italian dishes in a classic retro atmosphere.
Had a fabulous dinner here tonight! Their staff is so warm and friendly, needless to say their service is SUPERB. They made us feel so welcomed! The food was delicious, just check out the generous topping on my husband's pizza and my Greek Salad was GIGANTIC. They have terrific gluten free options that you rarely see at an Italian/Pizza place. I had the gluten free chicken strips which I didn't take a photo of because I gobbled them up too quickly 😅 Everything was terrific and next time I'm for sure ordering their cauliflower crust pizza...just the look of their homemade sauce made me salivate. We're definitely going back, dare I say, become "regulars"!

Great restaurant with a friendly staff and incredible, authentic food. Their sauces (pizza and pasta) are delicious and everything tastes freshly handmade. This place is a true gem!
