Me and my fiance and I had lunch yesterday.
We ordered the chips and cheese with seasoned ground beef. She had the fish and chips and I had a burrito. Everything was amazing as it always is my favorite place to eat in Grandville. I have been eating here for 20 years or so. I highly recommend.
Really great salad bar for lunch. Got the prime rib sandwich and it looks fantastic, can't wait to dig in to this little gem. Food came out fast, service was great. It also has a really cozy atmosphere. Great place! Will come back if I'm ever around town.
The Grand Villa has been a family favorite of ours for years. It is a family based restaurant that serves American and Mexican dishes. The interior has a relaxed rustic vibe that is a bit dark, but almost seems like you are in a scene from Camelot. The crown jewel is their salad bar. Many times we will make a meal of the salad and various toppings, along with the garlic bread, cheese spread, and liver paste. They also have excellent steaks and prime rib (almost always on special) and the all you can eat white fish is a favorite choice. There is also a variety of Mexican food choices on the menu. They have a small bar and full menu of drinks, a banquet room, and an entirely separated restaurant called the Dungeon in the basement. The service is always excellent and prices are reasonable. The food choices are basic but always consistently done well. A great place to bring the family.
Consistently good food and service. Prepare to wait if you don't get there early as this place is popular for good reason. Pretty good selection of local beers and large portions for entrees. I have not tried any of their desserts, always too stuffed from dinner to order dessert.
Definitely deserving of a 5 star. Not because it is over the top fancy and high class, but because it is homey and welcoming. I eat here a couple times a year and absolutely love it. Food is always great and for a fair price. They really put effort into their work and into the atmosphere of the business.
We went to the Dungeon and two of us split an appetizer and then a meal. It's nice to have an appetizer be an appetizer--something to snack on before a meal. It seems like the trend is for both to be served within a few minutes of each other. The order for dinner was taken about half way through the appetizer. Way to go!
The appetizer of chips and cheese was served with real cheese at all levels--not just on top. There were two salsas--medium and hot. Both were mild but had good flavor. This is a place for a good Americanized burrito. Si quieres autentico, ve a Wyoming. Our chicken avocodo burrito was delicious, but the two of us couldn't finish it. It was huge. Prices are pretty reasonable by today's standards.
Our only complaint was that even though our host was friendly, our drinks ran dry and were never filled or checked on. We waited quite a while for our bill to come.
We loved our dinner at the Dungeon! Great service, good menu options, fun atmosphere. I had a chicken wrap and it was delicious. But the Mexican fried ice cream... y'all... this is my new favourite dessert. So yummy covered in honey! We will absolutely be back for more of that.
Great experience with the family! Josh was a very friendly server, his recommendation of the burger paid off. Also the margaritas were pretty good too
Always good food..and reasonable prices.
The cajun tilapia was beautifully done and delicious...Myself and husband frequently go to Grandvilla. Very nice local restaurant.
Today..went for lunch..
Had the fish tacos....Delish..so tasty and flavorful.
Just a great light lunch..
Coffee was awful, and lukewarm at best.
But food was very good.
Quick service, fairly priced and yummy. Definitely worth the stop.
Definitely lives up to the its name.
We recently went there and had a party of about 25 people. It was extremely busy but our waiter did a good job of keeping up with everybody. My husband got the wet burrito and was very satisfied with it. If you are in a wheelchair and want to go down into the dungeon, they have the old-fashioned lift where you shut both doors and push a button to go down. It was a little scary so hopefully someday they can put an elevator in but overall, it was a good night.
Never go wrong here! Great food drinks and service.
Holy cow what a great find!!! I want to go eat here everyday 🥰. Don't let first impressions of the old floor creaking building fool you. The staff was so pleasant ( refreshingly new these days). The food was hot, quickly served, and sooooo delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other items. Have to remember to take pics before stuffing my face 🤪
American-style Mexican food. This place has been around forever and they do a nice job. Definitely not fancy, but it gets the job done.
I really enjoyed my experience here. We were at the restaurant on the top floor. You can get American as well as Mexican food. Generally the Mexican food is very Americanized but I was there with a large group and everyone enjoyed what they ordered!
Because we were there with a large group we were put in a private room. Which was very nice!
Our waitress was very good and we enjoyed our time there. I gave it four stars instead of five because it was low on atmosphere. Wallpaper is old. Etc.
The place is always full - that generally means good food! And it was! Their salad bar was awesome!
I had a small steak ( you have a choice as to what size) and it was done to perfection. I'd go back!
My daughter took me to the Grand Villa last night for dinner and we all had a wet burrito and it was absolutely delicious. And our server was very very nice very observant answered all our questions. We had the best cocktails ever.
